I do not know the exact age, but I believe the tiles and marble mostly date to around 1880-1910. This washstand comes in two separate pieces; 1)The marble top, wood and tile backsplash; 2) wood cabinet base that is supported by four nicely turned legs on original convenient casters. Naturally this piece has some minor imperfections but overall it is in very good cosmetic and structural condition; it is strong and sturdy. Not sure of the type of wood. But this spacious cabinet opens with two paneled doors. The doors are beautifully adorned with the original ornate bronze pulls that show a lovely patina. The cabinet finish may not be original. I have owned this for 30 years and never refinished it, I don't know what was done prior. The marble top is one solid beautiful piece. It is ¾" thick with straight edges. The veining color is in shades of browns. Burgundy and creams. It is the original marble top and is among the nicest to be seen. It is very heavy as it sits on top of the cabinet. The backsplash is attached to the marble with screws from underneath. But. The best thing about this is the gorgeous set of original Art Nouveau hand-made, hand-painted glazed tiles. The floral designs are raised and detailed with a 3-D look; these original tiles are in great condition, and the colors as well as the Art Nouveau design, complement the cabinet perfectly. The tiles show light crazing and only one shows a hairline crack. I have not removed any tiles to see if they are marked, but this piece is worth the price

To present, for your consideration, this gorgeous Fancy Tall Burl Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival Marble Top Drop Front Dresser(Circa: 1870) This beautiful dresser weighs approximately 140 pounds and measures 90 ½” in total height from the floor to the center top of the crown, 20” in height from the floor to the middle marble top section of the dresser, 31 ½” in height from the floor to the side marble tops, 20” in depth, and 49 ¾” in total width. The center top of the mirror is graced with a beautiful scrolled foliate crown with carved grape cluster center. This beautiful crown is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the gorgeous mirrored top which is adorned with elegant moulding. Many raised burled panels, rosette roundels, fancy leaf carved shoulders, four candle-stands(unusual as most Victorian ... moredressers only have two) and elegant pierced carved grape and leaf carved ornamentations on the sides. The entire mirrored top is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the very ornate white marble top base. The beautiful and removable white marble tops are beveled and in excellent condition for their age. From a functional standpoint. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. The exposed marble surface measures 40 7/8" by 13 3/4" This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There are ... morea few chips along the dresser edge. It appears as though there was originally a crown as well as a pair of candle holder arms. These pieces are no longer included. The mirror may be a replacement, since it is not beveled, but it is still a lovely match. There is a slight separation in the joint at the top of the mirror arch. beautiful 1879. Drop down dresser, 8 foot mirror, marble top, this was my husbands grand mothers, NOTE: there is nothing wrong with the mirror, just dirty. NO cracks in marble, I can not show the whole mirror in photo, because it is a 8 foot mirror, and I have it siting in a trailer with 7 foot ceilings, I have it siting on cinder blocks, I believe the tongue and grove is called"cove" the stains on the marble can be cleaned with a paste made of backing soda and water, I have used this method of cleaning on a marble table I have, works great.it does have some scratches, but for being 135 years old, that's to be expected. pick up only NOTE: I must ask what im asking for it, because if it sells, ebay and pay pal get 13% off the top.

On the bottom of each side of the drawers there are two curved cabinets with a shelf in each. The four cabinet curved doors are finished on the inside. All the drawers and cabinets have locks. A very fine antique. Circa 1860's, solid walnut dresser with gray veined white marble top. Above is the separate mirror in frame, and yoke having a pair of candle stands and glove boxes. The mirror crest is beautifully carved with roses, the dresser drawers with nice carved grips. Dresser retains the three locks with walnut escutcheons, no key. Secondary wood is maple. Mirror frame will swivel. It has been nicely refinished. Total furniture measures 7'2" 86" tall by 3'5" 41" wide by 18-1/2" deep. Antique French Oak Marble Top and splash Washstand Wash Stand, Butler
This auction is for an Estate found antique wash stand. It would also work well as a Dinning room butler. The previous owners believed it was French and over 100 years old. The wood looks like flame mahogany or oak. I believe it has been varnished. The wood is very shiny. There is one drawer with a divider down the middle. The drawer opens from underneath. On the inside of the drawer there are some stains. It does open and close with a minimum of sticking. It could use some wax. The marble top is gray and white. The surface is a little rough and definitely could use a buffing. There are some small nicks and there is a crack along the back. You can see this in the 12th or last photo. Across the bottom. A pot board connects the four legs provided plenty of strength and stability to the washstand. The pot board's surface looks a little bubbled ... moreI believe from water sitting on it. The right front leg has a chip on one of the rings. You can see this in the 11th photo. I think the legs may have been shortened or they had a cap, rollers on them. The stand is 30" wide, 19" deep and 33" tall. The splash is 3-3/8" tall with the wood adding another 3/8" There is a paper label on the back of the drawer but most of it is gone. If anyone out there recognizes it please let me know. I would love to know the manufacturer. This is a beautiful piece but it is old and while it looks great for its age it does show some age. A awesome find. American empire circa 1850-60 NY made vanity/petticoat mirror. Last one of these I seen I actually sold about eight years ago at auction for 4500$. Never seen another since. This one I've had a good while but time to move on to the next stop. It's been restored to a brilliant condition And is very clean. A unique model in every way with its petticoat mirrored bottom supporting a marble top and then a harp holding another vanity mirror above. It's very early and would venture to say could be even before 1850. Crotch mahogany everywhere Makes it really pop. Look at the escutcheon made of abalone. The mirror is supported by dowels that do into the back board and a single threaded bolt from the underside snugs it down. Great design, great detail and a rich history. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 76 1/2 inches. The dresser width measures 46 inches, dresser depth measures 18 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 39 inches,height from the floor to the lower base top is 20 inches, and this piece weighs approximately 135 lbs. This wonderful Eastlake piece offers a fantastic beveled cheval mirror that pivots front to back. And is encased in a gorgeous carved maple frame with a lovely incised carved pediment at the top. The mirror rests in ... morebetween two upright carved supports with the original fancy brass inserts that secures the mirror into the supports. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the beveled mirror to be original and it measures 47 inches high by 23 inches wide and only has some very light silver dusting that's age appropriate. The finish appears original and does have some age& wear on the top of the base, there is unusual black marble on the right side above the stack of smaller drawers measures 15 1/4 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The base offers three smaller storage drawers on the right over two larger ones each having period brass Eastlake pulls. Period dove-tailed ends and all the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have they key. The dresser base does have its original casters to aid in easier movement within your home. RARE ANTIQUE DRESSER W MARBLE TOP
my dad had this dresser for over 50 years and I'm pretty sure he didn't buy it new. I have no knowledge of this item my dad recently passed away so I am forced to sell. It stands 42 inches tall x 39" wide x18"deep. All drawers are intact in great condition and open and close with ease. There is a chunk missing out of what seems to be the back panel as shown in one of the pictures but I do have the piece of wood that came off of it for possibly an easy fix. I estimate this dresser being fRom somewhere in the late 1800's. Beautiful Victorian Marble Top Drop Well Dresser. This is a amazing piece of Victorian furniture in wonderful condition. This dresser has a fabulous carved crest. Beautiful raised panels of burl walnut and the original beveled edge marble that does show some discoloration as common in old marble. The mirror looks to be original and shows a little age with some flakes and streaks. The mirror has neat candle holders that have seen the test of time once or twice. They are well attached but have had to be re-glued. T he base has four small drawers over two long drawers. Each drawer has raised edge and hand carved handles. This piece also has casters intact for easier moving within your home. This 19th century Victorian dresser is in wonderful antique condition and exudes all the charm and splendor from another era in time. Beautiful Antique Victorian Drop Center Dresser measures 89 inches tall(7 feet 5 inches) 46 inches wide and 18.5 inches deep. Floor to center marble top is 24" Floor to side marble top is 30" Shows normal wear for a piece that is over 100 years old. Missing left side thin wood trim about 2/3 way up(see picture) Center marble piece appears to be a replacement. Marble pieces and mirror remove for shipping.
