Be sure to add me to your! This ANTIQUE LATE 1800's VICTORIAN DRESSSER is made from solid walnut and has been refinished. It has three large drawers with a fancy skirt around the bottom on four legs with rollers. Which roll very well. On top of this are two glove boxes on each side separated by white marble. The back holds the elegant curved and bevelled mirror housed in a walnut curved frame with applied wood decoration and a special decoration extending several inches above the top of the mirror frame. There are four original leaf carved handles which are not on the piece. The buyer would have the choice of putting on handles of his choice or matching the original handles with two more. As refinished this piece is in excellent condition except for the missing two original handles. The three drawers are 36 inches wide; it is 37 inches ... morefrom floor to marble. LATE 1800s MARBLE TOP SOLID WALNUT COMMODE WITH BURL TRIM AND ORIGINAL HARDWARE
Be sure to add me to your! This late 1800's SOLID WALNUT AND MARBLE TOP COMMODE has WALNUT BURL TRIM and ORIGINAL BRASS HARDWARE. It has one long drawer and two small ones. Beautiful walnut veneer adorns the middle of the door and three drawers. All drawers have deep dovetailing. In the late 1800's the commode provided the wash-up and refresh area. Behind the door area is room for the water pitcher. The matching basin or bowl. Soap dish, vase and other items were displayed on the marble top. The distinctive brass hardware is original. The heavy marble top lifts off and could be centered better than it is in this picture. The marble has several small filled holes near the back, where a splash-back piece would have been attached to the top. This commode is small and compact and provides good storage. It measures 35 X 17 inches and stands ... more31 inches high. It is on rollers and can be easily moved. The commode has been refinished: the lowest brass drawpull is not completely centered over its' original placement. And this is apparent. This is a pick up only item in Evergreen. Colorado. IT IS OF A QUALITY ONE RARELY ENCOUNTERS. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL AND THE RICH AMERICAN CHESTNUT WOOD IS EXQUISITELY BEAUTIFUL. THE DRAWERS FEATURE DOVE-TAIL JOINTS, FIT WELL, SLIDE SMOOTHLY AND THE PIECE IS QUITE SOLID. IT STANDS 79 INCHES TALL TO THE TOP OF THE MIRROR FINIAL AND IS 41 INCHES WIDE BY 18.5 INCHES DEEP. FROM THE FLOOR TO THE TOP OF THE DRESSER SURFACE IS 32.5 INCHES. THE GLOVE BOXES ARE 11 X 7 X 2 INCHES AND THE TOP DRAWER IS 33 X 14.25 X 6 INCHES. THE OTHER TWO DRAWERS ARE 33 X 14 X 7 INCHES.
