I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. It has mounting holes in the cast iron base for mounting it permenantly to a floor or just leave it attched to the existing piece of wood. The stool may be disassembled for shipment. The height is not adjustable. Get creative! Approximate Measurements The stool measures 19 1/2" tall and 21" tall including the base board. It has an approximate 6 1/2" diameter base. This is an art deco carved unusual cedar lined blanket chest that dates from the 1940s era. It’s a really nice piece of furniture. With a drawer in the base, is beading molded all the way across, acanthus carving, big bulbous posts that go into a shoe foot trestle base. Then, it has a triple-section top that is felt lined for all your fragile items, and it has a Middlebury clock in the top. Very rarely do you see these chests with a clock in the backsplash! This one has an electric clock made by the Middlebury Clock Company, and the cabinet itself is made by the Roos Furniture Company, well-known for their chests. We have re-sprayed the top and disabled the lock so it will not lock. The overall size is 45 inches wide, 19 inches deep, and 40 inches high. Includes antique oak ornate Eastlake style mirrored dresser with candle holders and lift up compartment on bureau. Ornate applied molding at top of fancy scrolled mirror frame. Mirror can tilt. Grid lines on drawer fronts are typical of Eastlake style of the late 19th century. Up for consideration is a fine Swan Harped Quarter Cut Tiger Oak dresser. The dresser measures 75 1/4 inches high by 24 1/2 inches deep by 48 inches wide. The piece has all it's original hardware with brass bail handles. Likewise the original beveled mirror. It is interesting to note that the dresser has an ultra clean back and interior of the drawers. The drawers have old newspaper for 1937. They are ultra clean with light signs of wear. The quartered oak graining can be see in the pictures. The mirror has been replaced with the custom fit and all other glass is in tact. This has very detailed craftsmanship which is obvious from the pictures. There is a large center mirror with two side mirrors. There is a canopy of wood carvings of flowers over the mirror. The left and right of the mirror each have a small shelf. There is a center drop and a cubby hole on the left and right on the top of the vanity. There are four doors that open. The center two door wood with glass opens and has a shelf. RARE - Antique English Yew Wood Dresser, c. 1810-30
This is a beautiful antique English dresser from 1810-30. It is made of walnut with a Yew Wood veneer on the front. Yew wood was usually only used in smaller veneered pieces or as accents to other veneers. The piece has two smaller drawers over three large drawers. It has a Biedermeier look to it. But the owner brought it in from England some years ago.you decide. The brass hardware is very old, but probably not original to the piece. The insides of the drawers are painted with silver radiator paint to protect against worms. It is in excellent condition. The pictures show one piece of the veneer in the top right corner, which has since been professionally reattached. It measures 36" wide, 17 1/2" deep(19" deep to handles) and 38" tall. This very unusual item is a custom-made tiger sawn oak extremely rare five-drawer. Double hatbox lock-side dresser that probably dates from ... morethe 1890s. It came out of the home of a dear friend of mine who died about 15 years ago. And who had a great collection in his home. He bought this chest a long time ago, and would never sell it. This piece will remind you of a Harvard dental cabinet, the way it’s made on the side panels. I could spend probably 30 minutes describing it, but the pictures will do it more justice. When you open the two serpentine paneled beaded molding doors on top, it reveals a shelved compartment, and below that are five serpentine front drawers with beautiful heavy cast-brass hardware that is all intact. You’ll notice there are no keyholes on any of the drawers. This is because when the doors are opened, there is a hidden panel on which you push a lever and it locks all the drawers. They are unlocked the same way. The chest has many fine details, including a wonderful detailed backsplash that could probably be sold by itself for $300. It has seven raised panels on each side, a French braided spade foot, clamshell carving on the base, cutout fretwork on the skirt, a beaded molded edge with a few pieces of beading missing, and is in overall really excellent original condition

SOUTHERN STATES Over Pierced Bracket Feet. Possibly Virginia, c. 1780-1800 Item# 1402LNP15PC A rare and certainly unusual chest. This fine American Chippendale Chest of Drawers is distinct in it's overwhelming simplicity of construction and appeal and set apart by it's highly interesting pierced bracket feet. We have not yet identified a chest exhibiting the same form in the feet, but two pieces of seating furniture from Williamsburg, Virginia- both pieces attributed to Peter Scott- have nearly identical pierced embellishments to the splats. These are visible below or by clicking on"Literature" The feet are complex, the outer edges an ogival form interrupted by ... morea series of fillets; the last stretch of the foot is cyma in form, outlining an almost perfect inverted"S" before touching the ground. The interior piercing sets against this in a way that lends visual support to the arch of the foot. The top and sides of the case are each crafted of two solid walnut boards. The top edged by a thin projecting molding. The four graduated drawers retain lips carved of the solid, each with a single deeply chamfered poplar board set into grooves and nailed along the back edge with square iron nails; the brasses are replacements, though appropriate to the case. The interior displays an affinity for British tradition in craftsmanship, each drawer being divided out with a full dust board(also poplar) to protect the contents of the drawer below from dirt and dust as the drawer above is opened and closed. While it is not unusual to find dust boards in American case pieces, it is not typical and generally reflects an English taste among the patrons for the craftsman, as it is certainly a more time consuming and costly consideration for the craftsman. The shaving mirror has three rare claws in the front, while the back has two round dowel wood peg legs. This is one of the most beautiful antique shaving mirrors of its time you will find. The mirror is attached by ball swivel hinges by Cope& Austin which the company was started in 1760 and later became Cope& Collison in 1865. So with that being said this is truly a beautiful Shaving Vanity, that dates late 1700's early 1800's. Their hinges were supplied to Jackson& Graham Co, in 1836. which became highly sought after and recognized. The shaving mirror does come with a few minor flaws in the wood as shown in the pictures, in which I think can be fixed by a craftsman very easy. Their are two pull out rolled front finish draws. Rare Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Cottage vanity dresser
Up for auction is a beautiful Victorian Renaissance Revival Cottage dresser. Very old and cool. Pictures don't do it justice. Its 81 inches tall, 38 and 1/2 across and 17 and 1/4 out from the wall. Has four big drawers and two glove boxes on top, along with two candle shelves that are on either side of the mirror. The mirror glass was replaced in the 1970s but it tilts and is adjustable. Has worn spots but thats to be expected after over a hundred years. This is a beautiful and quite rare antique miniature chest of drawers. It appears to be a furniture salesman's sample. The style appears to be an 18th century style. This piece is quite old and appears to be at least early 19th century and possibly earlier. Many of the drawers appear to be made from pieces of wooden antique cigar boxes. The chest of drawers measures 14" tall x 9 3/4" wide at widest point x 6" deep not including the handles. It has wear from use but overall has a great antique style and looks amazing. Offered for sale is this rare 1800's Dresser/ Chest top mirror stand. It just does not get any better than this. This piece has 3 drawers. A mirror that swivels on the 2 upright arms and the entire piece is made of dovetailed oak which has a rich patina. I am not sure you can see it in the pictures but the middle drawer and mirror have a thin light maple inlay around the perimeter. This piece is real craftmanship at it's finest. It has an awesome design with the middle drawer offset from the 2 side ones and the mirror support arms divided and elegantly curved. The whole thing sets on small bun feet. It measures about 27 1/2" tall by 19" wide by 10" deep. I wish I was a better photographer because I do not think these photos do it justice. Antique Mahogany Chippendale Highboy circa 1790 RARE!!
This is an 8 ft tall circa 1790's Chippendale mahogany highboy that we have had in the family since the early 60's. My parents paid over 4000 for it then and had it appraised for over 8000 a few years later. It has a webbed bonnet with urn finials. Fluted columns along the side to the ball and claw feet. The center drawer is carved shell design. This is a real nice and massive piece. It has dovetailed drawers that are all period. The down side seems to be new drawer oulls. One of the smaller ones looks like it may not lock, the locking pin is lose, like there is a spring missing, but it would certainly fill the mortise in your drawer! all 5 locks include ESCUTCHEONS! RARE ANTIQUE DRESSER W MARBLE TOP
my dad had this dresser for over 50 years and I'm pretty sure he didn't buy it new. I have no knowledge of this item my dad recently passed away so I am forced to sell. It stands 42 inches tall x 39" wide x18"deep. All drawers are intact in great condition and open and close with ease. There is a chunk missing out of what seems to be the back panel as shown in one of the pictures but I do have the piece of wood that came off of it for possibly an easy fix. I estimate this dresser being fRom somewhere in the late 1800's. The pictures don't do it justice it is truly a rare piece any information that you could be willing to share with me I would appreciate. Offering local pickup only in Palmdale California.
