This is a magnificent antique wardrobe/armoire/closet made by Gullachsens of Newcastle on Tyne. It is very large: 69" wide x 22" deep x 82.5" tall! The two side doors have a beautiful inlaid wood design. The center door has a full length beveled mirror. The left& center cabinet doors open to reveal a pole& hooks for hanging clothes. The right door opens to built in shelves. It has the original locks. But I do not have the key. I believe any skeleton key would work. It was made by Gullaschsen of Newcastle on Tyne in England. And still has the original name plate inside the cabinet. This company closed it's doors in 1929. So this gives you a great idea of when this piece was made. It is actually 4 pieces.the wardrobe. Antique Tiger Oak Victorian Era c.1880 Round Shaving Mirror- On Tilting Frame- DESCRIPTION A handsome antique shaving mirror on tilting stand. Made entirely of solid tiger oak grained wood. The mirror frame, tilting arms, base and round ball feet all with beautiful graining visable. This one is from the late Victorian era circa 1880's. It's in original untouched condition, not refinished. It also retains the original mirror glass and backing for the round mirror. The round mirror frame is 1" wide and has a deep beveled edge. The two arms have knobs at the sides that can be loosened allowing you to tilt the framed mirror portion. Tightening the knob will then hold it in that fixed position. The arms have lovely turnings and are mortised through the wide shaped chamferred edge base. The base has four round ball feet. We've ... moreleft this as found. RARE - Antique English Yew Wood Dresser, c. 1810-30
This is a beautiful antique English dresser from 1810-30. It is made of walnut with a Yew Wood veneer on the front. Yew wood was usually only used in smaller veneered pieces or as accents to other veneers. The piece has two smaller drawers over three large drawers. It has a Biedermeier look to it. But the owner brought it in from England some years ago.you decide. The brass hardware is very old, but probably not original to the piece. The insides of the drawers are painted with silver radiator paint to protect against worms. It is in excellent condition. I am not sure of the wood but it is a very deep dark brown. The mirror has been replaced my me as I wanted to use this on my own antique dresser. The frame of the mirror. And stand are in very good estate condition. See images. I bought this from a dealer in the St Petersburg area of Florida. Their expert there told me this was from the late 1880s. Old Wood Mirror in Frame buffet top dresser? **save before it gets smashed**
I really want this thing gone soon before i smash it up for trash. It is taking up space and we think its ugly and want it out of the basement. I keep relisting because i get emails telling me how old and nice it is and worth money but no one ever seems to come get it. I would have thrown it out months ago but the wife keeps saying one more time. Here is an old something! I am no expert on old furniture. Was a top to something a dresser maybe. This is an Antique Late 1800's Victorian Natural Tone Oak Dresser with Original Brass Drawer Pulls and Key Locks/ Hardware. 44.5 inches wide x 33 inches tall x 19.5 inches deep. Has 4 dovetail drawers and metal caster wheels. Key to the locks is unavailable. The lower drawer bottom has been replaced. All drawers are opening and closing properly. Item is structurally sound for it's age. Caster wheels are all rolling. Top back right corner has a slight warp on the tabletop with separation and a small crack. Shouldn't be a problem for most. It's not noticeable when standing against a wall. Item was lightly sanded and clear varnished in the mid 1970's. Small top drawers are 18 inches wide x 5.5" tall. Here is a very nice 3 drawer bedroom dresser. It has a marble top that can be removed. Has 3 holes on the back that looks like something was attached to it at one point in time. The drawer handles are hand carved grapes or berries with leaves. All handles are intact. None are broke or repaired. Looks like it's a tiger maple on the drawer fronts. Offered for sale is this rare 1800's Dresser/ Chest top mirror stand. It just does not get any better than this. This piece has 3 drawers. A mirror that swivels on the 2 upright arms and the entire piece is made of dovetailed oak which has a rich patina. I am not sure you can see it in the pictures but the middle drawer and mirror have a thin light maple inlay around the perimeter. This piece is real craftmanship at it's finest. It has an awesome design with the middle drawer offset from the 2 side ones and the mirror support arms divided and elegantly curved. The whole thing sets on small bun feet. It measures about 27 1/2" tall by 19" wide by 10" deep. I wish I was a better photographer because I do not think these photos do it justice. From antiques estate! seems to be mahogany, a nice dark wood, with nice patina brass drawer knobs and swivel hardware for the mirror. so much detail work in the carving of the reeded cheval brace topped with the beautiful pineapple finials. Click on photos for close up view! There is a slight overall haze in the mirror's silvering, commensurates with the true turn of century glass mirrors. This is about 18 inches tall x 19 inches wide x 12 inches deep. A couple very minor knicks and a burnt burl spot on the flat surface-see photos. Beautiful wood. this appears to have been gently used. The harp, I believe is missing. The oak dresser that was painted the same green. It measures 43" length x 20" depth x 32" height. It is in great structual condition. All 3 drawers work well. It has no missing parts breaks or cracks. All drawers have there wood bottoms. It is very clean. It appears to have been refinished many years ago. The drawers are thick veneer over a solid secondary wood. The bottom drawer does have some cracking in the veneer but has been sealed when it was refinished. Also the bottom drawer has a small veneer chip and 2 places were the veneer has been patched with walnut veneer patches which just adds character to the chest. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. Antique 1800s Dresser 19th Century Chest of Drawers Walnut Wood FREE SHIPPING
19th Century Chest of Drawers This is a fantastic piece of historical furniture. This is a chest of drawers or dresser from the early to mid 1800's. It appears to be constructed primarily of walnut wood. There are several distinguishing features that influence our opinion as to the date of this piece: The dresser was constructed with square-head nails. Which were used from the late 1700's to the late 1800's. It is constructed of solid-wood boards measuring up to 16" in width. Which could only have been made from very large trees long ago. The dovetails used to construct the front and back of the drawers are all hand-cut. The smallest drawer has 3 tails and 4 pins. And the larger drawers have up to 5 tails and 6 pins. The drawer bottoms are chamfered, meaning the front and side edges and the drawer bottoms are finished at ... morea slop. While the inside top of the drawer is flat. This was cut and finished by hand-held tools, which is an indication that it is pre-1840. All of the saw cuts in the wood appear to be parallel rather than circular. This indicates the use of mill saws during construction. The wood also appears to be hand-planed. The dresser features turned-wood pulls. Which we believe to be original. It also has paneled sides, which was a feature in many early Philidelphia chests of drawers. This piece is in good. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There is a significant crack in the drawer second from the top. It is still structurally sound. All of the drawers have locks, but we do not have the matching key. This piece has cracks, wear, chips, discoloration and repairs that are consistant with a piece of this age. The"flaws" only contribute to the primateive nature of this chest of drawers. They quietly tell the stories of its life. The dresser measures 45 7/8" tall by 42 5/8" wide by 20" deep. The drawer faces are all 36" wide. The height of the drawer faces from top to bottom are: 1st- 9 3/4" 2nd- 5 3/4" 3rd- 6 3/4"

Beautiful Victorian Dresser- all wood. This was purchased at Hawkin's Antiques many years ago while they were still in Fort Lauderdale. Anyone familiar with this man's store is aware he carried very fine quality antiques. He still does- but now he is located in West Palm Beach. Piece must go as we have too many pieces now. Mirror has minor loss to silvering- there is a repair to one of the wood drawers that is not visible from exterior. Has keyholes for skeleton key but we do not have a key to lock it. Nice relief details on the dresser and the mirror. Dresser can be with or without mirror on it as it unscrews. This piece is on wheels and is very light and easy to move when drawers and mirror are removed which is a nice feature. Antique 19th century Empire chest of drawers locks dresser figured light wood
A 19th century Empire chest of drawers in figured light wood. Measuring approximately 39" tall, 45.5" wide, and 25" deep at the bottom(its deepest point) We do not know the maker. There is wear and tear commensurate with age and use, including a few veneer issues on the feet(please see photos) It is structurally sound and there are no major problems. All of the drawers have locks(we do not have the key) and all of the pulls are replaced. It has been refinished. Please view the images as an extension of the description.
