Drawer 5 Pulls Antique Brass Sheraton Style 1800 Chest Knobs Hardware
This auction is for 5 brass chest knobs from the Sheraton style of 1785-1820. They all need some repair. They are 2.25” round and have a single post to insert into the chest. The posts are 1.5” long. The top part is square and then it becomes a screw. They all need polishing. 1. surface has 2 dents- missing back plate that goes against the chest. 2. surface has 4 dents– missing back plate. 3. surface has 2 dents– has back plate. 4. surface has short crack on crease between inner ring and center. 15 Brass Victorian Lion Head Drawer Pulls Dresser Hardware Ornate Gargoyle I.U.C
Found these in a box with a bunch of other brass and porcelain knobs. Not sure where they came from or what they were suppose to be used for but the box has been sitting here for years so out they go. There are 13 handles with the lions head up-right and 2 where he is upside down when the handle is in the correct position. Don't ask me what's up with that. There are a few spots where some green has attached itself but they are in good condition overall. The back of the lions head is embossed with I.U.C. DC-80947K and the back of the handle is embossed with I.U.C. DC-40322. Not sure how old these are but they look old. I don't have any screws for them. The holes are 2 3/4" on center. If you are looking for a smaller amount of these and these don't sell. This is an Antique Late 1800's Victorian Natural Tone Oak Dresser with Original Brass Drawer Pulls and Key Locks/ Hardware. 44.5 inches wide x 33 inches tall x 19.5 inches deep. Has 4 dovetail drawers and metal caster wheels. Key to the locks is unavailable. The lower drawer bottom has been replaced. All drawers are opening and closing properly. Item is structurally sound for it's age. Caster wheels are all rolling. Top back right corner has a slight warp on the tabletop with separation and a small crack. Shouldn't be a problem for most. It's not noticeable when standing against a wall. Item was lightly sanded and clear varnished in the mid 1970's. Small top drawers are 18 inches wide x 5.5" tall.
