There are a few small areas on the ornately carved back where there have been some small repairs to the ornately carved areas. There are a few light surface scratches to the finish from general use, but it has been very well cared for, and is in amazing condition. I am unsure of the exact age or manufacture of the piece. It most likely dates to the middle to last part of the 19th Century. It does have some cracking in the front writing surface of the desk, but these areas are superficial thus far. The desk is made of what I believe is mahogany, and has ornately carved accecents on the vitrine shelf supports which are done in reverse scrolls.

Drexel is a manufacture of high quality solid wood furniture. Please check the pictures for a better look at some of the wear on the vanity top and towards the bottom. It is still in great solid. Sturdy condition and the drawers are all dovetailed and clean. There is some finish rubbed off in areas toward the bottom front of legs(pictured) main wear is on left very bottom side(pictured) but there are other areas in the front that have finish rubbed off from age/use. There is some staining on the very right side top of vanity(pictured) This can be easily lightly refinished to make perfect. 1860's Era Solid Mahogany Handmade/Handcarved Vanity with Mirror - GORGEOUS
This is an 1860's Civil War Era Vanity with Mirror. Made of SOLID Mahogany. This piece is handmade, hand dovetailed, and masterfully handcarved. We have cleaned this piece and restored its amazing original antique finish and patina. This vanity does have a replacement mirror, but all hardware, knobs and even the green upholstered footrest is all original. The mirror is removeable from the vanity base for a safer pickup or shipping. All drawers work nice and smooth, the center area is a working drawer as well. Antique Solid Mahogany Chippendale Style Low Dresser w/Arch Pediment Mirror
We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique mahogany dresser with matching mirror. The maker of this piece is unknown and we believe this dates to the late 1800's- early 1900's. The dresser stands approximately 36.5" high. The width is 21 5/8" and the length is 46" The mirror is made from solid mahogany and has a beautiful broken arch pediment at the top with an applied carved design in the center. It measures 35.5" high to the top of the pediment. The width is 24 7/8" across the ached top and th emain body is 23.75" wide. Made from solid mahogany the dresser has a classic Chippendale style design with applied carved moldings on the bracket feet and reeded columns on the front. The dresser has four drawers with a divider in the top drawer. The drawers are all dove tail jointed and also retain the original ... morebrass pulls. The dresser appears to have had an early refinish job done on it. There are age and use appropriate scratches and dings on the top and feet. As well as a small white spot on the top. There is a small crack on the top left edge. There are also what look like fingernail marks behind the pulls. All of the drawers are tight on this piece. This is a structurally solid dresser. A very fine antique. Circa 1840, Empire solid mahogany and flame mahogany veneers dressing mirror with three concave drawers. The mirror frame will swivel on brass pins, the glass original. The top surface has a rectangular patch that is original to the surface. Original finish unworn, mahogany solids without chips or cracks, tiny veneer chip to front right. Interior left drawer impress stamped: H. FELGATE. Mirror is without chips or cracks, no backing spots or cloudiness. The items measures 23-1/4" tall by 21" wide by 10-1/4" deep, the mirror frame 15-1/4" tall by 17-1/4" wide.

The items featured in this lot are a matched pair of solid mahogany half pilasters that go on the front of a period Empire chest. These are some what rare in the fact that they usually do not become available and are very prized by restoration type individuals. The pilasters retain their original finish(nice patina) and appear to be in nice used condition(with the exception of one pilaster missing an"ear" that can be carved to replace. ANTIQUE TURN-OF-THE-CENTURY SOLID MAHOGANY DROP FRONT DESK/ SECRETARY WITH BENCH This is a beautiful antique solid mahogany secretary in a lustrous light blue oil-based finish. It features plenty of storage space within a compact design. Opened or closed. This secretary makes a statement in elegant simplicity. There is a slight crack in the wood at the bottom left of the door which is only on the outside. it does not go through. Nor does it affect the beauty or functionality of the piece. It is a minor flaw and very common in a 100+ year old antique. Hand painted on front and top of cabinet and on crest of mirror. Beveled mirror in solid mahogany frame on back splash. Hand relief carved head on each front corner. Cabriolet front legs with hand carved feet. Measurements: height to top of mirror 44 ½” width 21 ¼” height to top of cabinet 38” and depth 16” Very good condition given its age.
