I am unsure of the age or origins of the table, or the type of wood that it is made from. The table is Victorian style, and most likely dates back to that era. The table legs are a bit loose where they attach into the base stem, and should probably be glued into place, but this is the only real issue with the table, is it is not critical. The tabletop is beginning to crack slightly at the edges, most likely from age, but it is also not critical and not highly evident. There is one small, chipped area at the bottom edge of the tabletop where a nail is exposed. This area is shown in the photos but does not really take away from the beauty of the table.

Though I did take a closeup of a dark line you can feel, on one leg, and a closeup of the same leg on other side. As you can see, the line does not go all way through, so I do not know what it is. You may notice a few small areas of different tone, probably different pieces of wood took stain differently. The marble top is described above, and could use a gentle polishing, but not necessary.
