The library and its furnishings were built and created in 1959-1960. The interior also featured Florence Knoll chairs and tables. This Mid Century. Architecturally inspired sofa is extremely unusual in that it has a"pull-out" feature that creates a deeper seating area or daybed for one. Seldom seen. We spoke with the librarian at the location, who had been there for 30+ years, and were told that the chairs and sofa had been recovered in the late 1970's. It measures 76" long, 28" high, seat is 30" deep and 36" when extended. The pull out feature works smoothly. The seat cushion is not attached. It has a square tubular brushed chrome and steel frame and legs and light blue tweed fabric. There is a frayed area on the front bottom right corner of the bottom platform and there is some minor discoloration but it has not been steamed cleaned. But i am not sure, could be the ... moreearly 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern above the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. There are no major issues with the Hall Tree. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to see it. I am offering this as local pickup only. This chair does not have a label but the fabric is identical to the Karpen chair which came with the other one which I am selling in a separate listing. Comes with the original red fabric which I read was an unusual color and hard to find. Also. This chair includes a hard to find accessory toss pillow. In searching the internet I could not find any pictures of any Karpen chair with a matching pillow. The fabrics on the chair and pillow match exactly. Walnut tapered legs with the front legs showing a wooden bridge connector. Measures approximately 37" high by 28" deep by 35" wide. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN A SEPARATE AUCTION I AM SELLING A MATCHING KARPEN HORN CHAIR. and end with a- Good condition. Please look closely at the two front corners and note that there is some light fabric loss. These corners could be repaired by a professional. This was reupholstered by the original owner in a beautiful high quality white textured fabric about ten years ago and has been kept very clean. All of the cushions have metal zippers and there are adjustable foot glides on the base. Glider on chair…no charge for hornets nest in back corner of bottom of chair… you can see the rust on the metal parts. But none on the aluminum…we will WD-40 it good for you before it leaves us! Sofa Bed for those lazy reading days or if the grandkids want to sleep on the patio… 3 or 4 of the cushions are coming apart at the seams literally…as shown in the last two photos. There is some rust on the springs, but they work fine and some oxidation on the aluminum, but normal for something of this age. The beauty of aluminum is that it doesn't rust, and that's a rare thing here in Florida. The screws are all metal and will rust but just keep silicon or WD-40 on them and you're good to go! The cushions are o.k. I've pointed out where some of the seams are coming apart, but overall they are good. The fabric is not an outside fabric as it was kept on a covered porch. This particular one has one arm. As you can see it has the original seat and bolster but they are filthy and I would imagine you would like some fabulous mid century style upholstery on them anyway. One of the screw holes on the base where the foot attatches has been repaired and it seems to be holding up well but it may need to be re addressed at some point. Beautiful sofa table made in Rockford. IL I'm guessing in the 20s or 30s. It might even be older. Original finish. Drawers are well made and have the guides. Handles are original. I believe the wood is walnut, at least it's a dark color. It measures 60 inches long. I used it behind my sofa for many years. Now I don't have room for it. We got it from a friend who said he grew up with it and that his father worked for the furniture company. It is 60 in. long. 18 in. deep and 30 in. high.

This is an awesome retro 3 piece mid century sectional sofa This is a blast from the past. Well made, heavy, original upholstery which is in very good condition for its age. It has little wear and no holes. The color is a red/orange with gold/tan mixed in the tweed pattern upholstery is very heavy fabric. The ribbing and buttons are covered with it also. The two side sections are 37 inches wide x 30 inches deep. 31 inches tall at the back, 16 inches tall from floor to top of cusion. 21 inches from floor to top of arm. The middle section is 18 inches across in the front and 70 inches across the curve in the back. The fabric and skirt surround each section on all sides. This hides the legs and makes it easy to arrange with the individual sections if desired. All fasteners are hidden. All the legs but one are intact and sturdy. Here is a beautiful handmade fabric(rayon? Toucan and Butterfly wall hanging. Furniture or window cover from Pura Vida Costa Rica. This colorful piece measures about 67" wide and 42" tall(excluding tassels on sides) It is reversible(see last photos) and looks great from both sides. There are quite a few hand-stiched free-form eyelets on the leaves, flowers, butterfly, beak and feathers of the Toucan allowing light to shine through. This is what the white spots on the photos are(hard to photograph! It is in excellent, clean condition with no tears, spots, or wear.
