This is gorgeous and in pristine condition( other than a few scratches in the wood near foot- see pic 5) It was kept in a parlor and only sat on once a year for Christmas pictures by original owner who purchased it from Ethan Allen in 1947. The sofa was reupholstered 15 years ago in a fine cream brocade fabric. Durable and beautiful. We are the second owner. But it doesn't fit in new home. The material is cream brocade. Pair 1960's Vtg MCM Mersman Suspended Step Side Lounge Sofa Table Danish Retro
This is a very beautiful pair of matching Mersman suspended step tables in excellent condition. The lower rear section is suspended entirely from the top section by solid birch wood supports. Which is unusual and makes for a nice design element. They are large measuring 24" tall, 19 1/2" wide and 32" long. So they would be right at home with a wide couch or lounge chair. They are in excellent condition with no chips in the laminated top. The brass tipped legs have some wear to the black finish which has been touched up in places. They will be dissembled for shipping, just 8 screws per table to reassemble. Thank you!

It was manufactured in 1988 and has the date and item number stamped on the bottom of one drawer. The Ethan Allen name is found in the top left drawer(see pic#12) This table measures 52" wide x 17" deep x 27" high. Ethan Allen describes Country French as. It's a darling table but it wasn't treated with the respect it deserves like the rest of my furniture. I suppose it is 25 years old so some of that is to be expected. Sofa and chair are functional. But needs work on the springs. Hand carved wood detailing. Was a custom made set. Both pieces are well made and heavy duty. Perfect structurally. Original owner. 1936 Vintage Sofa - Wood Frame with Cushions - Excellent Condition! Route 66.
This wood-frame sofa was purchased by my grandparents in September of 1936. In Chicago. It has a beautiful wood frame and heavy cushions that are surprisingly comfortable. The cushions were originally covered in gold fabric, but were recovered in the 1990's in Route 66 fabric. The sofa measures 6' in length, 3' feet deep, and 3 feet high on the back. from the floor to the seat cushion is 16" in height. The arms are wide enough to hold your coffee cup! The sofa is in very good condition. The wood does show some wear in spots and you would expect. The cushions do show wear, but the fabric is still in good condition overall. The sofa can still be used for many years to come! We can not ship this sofa. Up for bid is a Nice 1960's Sofa/Day Bed in the style of George Nelson. Total length is 126" The marble is 30x30 and is imported from Italy. Italy is stamped on the underside. Foam is in excellent condition. Clean and from a smoke free home. The Upholstery is in good condition with no rips or tears, there is some discoloring in some areas as seen in photos. I believe this was recovered at some point(not sure though) because the cloth material is in great shape. No rips. Tears, stains, etc. It is a tapestry style material. When you look underneath the couch you can tell the springs and padding are original. It is very comfortable and not lumpy. I believe the wood is oak. But I am not sure.
