Signed Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin couch/sofa reupholstered in 100% Colombian Cow Hide. The hairs are there. Original vinyl was an ugly green so I have been planning to redo this for a while and finally got it done. It took a while to find a cow hide this big. This couch had the middle projected seating area reupholstered in the hide. With black Naugahyde else ware. I had the two arm rests upholstered with a strip of the hide to break up the black Naugahyde surrounding the hide. I think my upholsterer did an incredible job, as he always does. This is a head turner. This couch retains its original Thayer Coggin manufacturer's label as well as the very early Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin label. It measures 71" long x 31" deep(top of back to front of seat) x 30" tall at the back top from the floor. Antique Flame Mahogany Federal Sofa/Settee circa 1830s
The flame Cuban or Honduran mahogany of which this piece is made is just beautiful. This is an old piece. Dating back to the early nineteenth century. The frame was expertly restored and refinished over ten years ago, so the piece is very sturdy and tight, the finish is excellent and has a wonderful patina. The rolled arms feature exuberantly-carved cornucopia. The lifelike hairy paw feet are complemented by carved acanthus leaves and feathers. New springs and reupholstering in very high quality plush wool mohair in a rich forest green provide a soft, lush finish to this beautiful and functional antique piece. Up for auction is a beautiful gooseneck sofa from the early 1900's. This one is especially nice because it has goose carved feet on the front and back of the sofa. The sofa was recovered. Sat in a formal living room and hardly ever used. The wood is either walnut or mahogany. The crest of the back of the sofa has round bead carvings. The goose or swan carving on the front arms is especially nice as well. The dimensions are as follows: straight across from arm to arm is 74 inches, from floor to top of the seat cushion is 19 1/2" from floor to top of the back 34" from the back of the arm to the front of the arm is 31" seating area is 23" deep and 59" across. I acquired this sofa two yrs ago.I love this piece and the only reason I am selling it is because it is too long for my room. I am guessing it is anywhere from the 1950's to the 70's.Just not sure. It has been newly reupholstered in a dark turquoise or teal color.It has one long(6'2" cushion with springs inside and is tuffted with 36 buttons.The bottom of the cushion is the same as the top. Being offered for sale is this Outstanding Victorian Rococo Revival Elaborately Carved Mahogany Sofa circa 1865. This 19th century sofa is grand and elegant and features beautiful ornate carved shells. Scrolls, foliate and floral on the triple serpentine crest-rail, with a highly carved serpentine seat-rail,full covered arms with carved arm supports, demi-cabriole styled legs with the original casters intact on the front feet we believe this sofa to also have its rich original finish. This fine sofa measures a total length of 82 inches. Height from the floor to the highest portion of the back measures 44 inches, seat length measures 60 inches, seat depth of 21 inches and seat height to the floor measures 16 inches and this sofa weighs approximately 95 lbs. I am selling a newly upholstered vintage. Retro style Henredon Sofa/ Couch. It was made in the seventies. It would easily fit into any Mid Century Modern decor, or contemporary design as well too. It is a very versatile style. The fabric is a wonderfully cheerful chenille with big funky flowers. The colors are dark brown background with orange. Red, green, and gold flowers. The cushions are amazing. They are the original goose down pillows. All the cushions on the whole sofa are down filled. They will never break down like foam does. This couch was very expensive. It has never been used in anyone's home with the new fabric. All the different side pillows are not included with the couch/ sofa. Item Description: Listed is a vintage cast aluminum X-base outdoor/patio/sunroom sofa& chair seating set. Possibly made my MOLLA, as they were the company whom made their name in the market by offering cast aluminum patio/outdoor furniture which in the salt air tends to rust less easily instead of wrought iron. Condition is 9.5 out of 10. With 10 being best. Only reason for not being perfect is a few paint scraps to the frames. Most notably on edges/points. No rust. All welds/connections secure. Fabric is clean& free of odors! Cushions are newer. We purchased from a well maintained St. Louis area mansion. Looks not sat on at all. Cushions were ordered by their interior decorator, but we are not sure if the fabric is outdoor fabric or not as this set was used in their three-season/sun room, most probably not. The paint is an off white ... moreand the 3” thick cushions are a two-tone beige/tan repeating pattern as shown. Sofa measures 68” wide. 31” tall at back and 30” overall depth. 14” from ground to seat cushion level without cushions. And 17” ground to top of seat cushions with cushions in place, 21” ground to top of front armrest. Sofa weighs approx. 50 lbs with cushions. Free shipping with buy it now in the continental U.S. You are bidding on a Le Corbusier LC2. Two seat sofa and chair. These are authentic Cassina pieces. They were a special order for an architecture firm. They have real sage green suede on them. This is not the cheap ultra suede. This is real leather. Overall they are in great shape. Frames are solid. Both pieces are engraved under the left arm with Corbusier's signature and serial number. Also under the seat the black decking is embossed with the Cassina logo(see pic) The only thing I noticed on them was two faint pen marks on the chair. You don't notice them unless you get real close! I researched how to clean real suede online and it said don't use any chemicals at all. It suggested sanding them lightly with sandpaper. I will leave that up to the new owner should they decide ... moreto do it. But like I said it is very faint and not really noticeable. This is a most unusual period flame mahogany pre-Civil War gorgeous sofa dating from the 1850s era. Can you imagine? Abraham Lincoln could ... morehave sat on it. General Grant could have sat on it! It has a lot of history. When it came in, we had to fix some veneer damage on the feet and tighten it up. The upholstery was redone quite a while back. The unusual thing about this sofa, as opposed to most of the empire sofas we get, is that it has a curled flared arm, and there are little circular pillows for each corner. It also has a flared flame mahogany paneled back, which is most unusual, as well as an uncommon gorgeous flame mahogany veneer front. The colors are awesome, with a dark, rich reddish brown. The overall size is 80 inches wide on the outside of the arms, and 60 inches on the inside, 22 inches deep from front to back, 32 inches high to the crest rail, and 18 inches high to the seat. This is in pretty comfortable condition for an empire sofa, although it IS an empire sofa, which means it doesn’t have a whole lot of padding. The fabric is a wine colored cloth in really good shape, with antique beige trim. Detailed carving borders the top crest, flows between the medallions, cascades over the arms and runs down along the bottom flank. Not a single area of the woodwork is uncarved.
