There are 5 pieces in this set: Hand Held Mirror Tray Powder Containor Perfume Bottle Hair Receiver ALL pieces are signed on the bottom: DuBarry Ivory Py-Ra-Lin This set comes from the 1920's by the DuPont company who bought out the Arlington Compancy who first made Ivory PyRaLin. DuPont began selling the DuBarry Line in 1917. Ivory Py-Ra-Lin is a kind of plastic made between 1900& WWII The pieces do show slight wear and scratches and have some spotting on them. But this is not unusual with this type of set and is very common. Considering it's age it is amazing to have so many pieces and all of them signed. The perfume bottle does not have a lid and the insert inside is glass. The hair receiver ... moreis not something in use today. It was used back in it's day to store hair that was removed from brushes and combs and then was"recycled" and used for stuffing small bags, to stuff pin cushions and small furnishings. The mirror has a couple of marks behing the mirror making it look black in those spots, but it does not take away from being able to see yourself in the mirror, and is due to age. For auction is this vintage plastic cosmetic case from the 60s or 70s. I would presume. It measures 4-1/2" tall, 10-1/2" long, 5" deep. In excellent condition, including hinges and handle. It has an inside tray and a mirror. The tray has 3 separations/cracks in the plastic(one on the side and two minor on the bottom) which looks to me as though it was kept in a place that got too hot. But I could be all wet about that. It doesn't affect the strength or utility however. Sweet little case retro case. Lucite mirror flip top vanity makeup table with gold trim accents
Late 70s early 80s Studio 54 era Thick LUCITE vanity or make up table- use flip top or large draw to access the inside Mirrored top with shinny gold trim the draw front is covered with an accordion type of material that is similar to a gold disco ball and white interior. Piano hinged flip top holds another mirror flanked by two faux mirror pieces made of some kind of Plexiglas materiel. It is original to the piece and applied where a mirror would brake if the top was slammed. Measurements: Top 30 inches x 16 1/2 plus curved draw- overall 19 inches deep 29 inches high. Lucite legs are 39 inches at the widest point and curve in to 26 1/2 at the bottom- a stool less than 25 inches wide would fit under. Condition: The top mirror shows a few minor scratches. The inside mirror needs to be attached securely(either the double sided tape is no longer ... moresticky or it was added when how it was secured failed) but I would leave it to the buyer to secure it their way. A very unusual style and shape for Apollo Studios. But so decorative. Your perfume bottles and vanity items will display beautifully on this wonderful tray. The back protects your furniture with a velvet surface. The design features a French bow at each end, and curves inward with a floral embellishment. Around the edge of the entire mirror is a garland of leaves. It's a very feminine look from the 1930s. VINTAGE OBLONG GOLD TONE FILIGREE METAL MIRRORED VANITY TRAY DISH PERFUME MAKEUP
Up for your consideration we have a vintage filigree cut gold toned metal mirrored vanity tray. It is about 1" tall. 18" long and 7" wide. It is in pretty good condition no chips or cracks but it does have some discoloration of the metal frame. It has surface scratching from normal use and is a bit dusty and could use a good cleaning. The mirror slides into the frame and fits a little loosely but it doesn't hurt its functionality. We have recently purchase d a major estate of a serious collector of all things unique. Vintage and antique. This collection has been compiled over the course of the past sixty years and has so much to offer. Vintage Ormulo Type Mirror Vanity Tray 5 Lipstick Makeup Holders Gold Filigree
This is a vintage vanity tray that is Ormulo style with bright gold tone floral and filigree. The tray is mirrored and sits on four tiny legs. There are fiver lipstick tube holders. Also good for eye pencils and other makeup tools. The tray measures 8" across, by 5 1/2" deep, and sits up 2" tall(to top of holders) Has an ornate floral pattern all the way around. Quality made. Probably from around the 1960's is my guess. In good shape, only gently used, a little dust inside the lipstick holders. There are a few tiny specks of gold off the surface in a few places, but you have to look hard for it, not distracting from the beauty at all.
