This is a very nice antique make-up mirror. It is on a stand so it can be used on a dresser or vanity. It has a gold colored frame. It could be brass. But I'm not completely certain of the metal. It stands 13 1/2 inches tall. The mirror itself is round and is 8 inches in diameter. The mirror has two sides and can be flipped over to have either side at whatever angle is needed. This is a very sturdy item- it weighs almost 3 pounds. There are no markings on the bottom. So I'm not sure how old or where it was made. Mid-Century Style Glass & Brass Vanity or Makeup Table with Mirror & Glass Shelf
This used to be Emily's. Can you believe how fast they grow up, she used to be such a nice little girl. Anyway, she found it at a yard sale out here in the backwoods of western Maine, so we really have no idea how old it is, except it has that mid-century modern look, doesn't it, with all that brass and glass. Actually, none of it is real brass, the magnet sticks to all the metal pieces, so it must be steel with a brass wash that has typical pitting and surface wear from either age or cheap manufacture. The plastic flowers were Emily's idea, they're easily removable if you don't like them, but they add a bit of color. So let's give you some measurements. First. From the floor to the top of the mirror is about 46½" The distance from the floor to the glass table top is about 28" which leaves you about ... more23" of knee space under the lower glass shelf. The table top and lower shelf both measure about 28½" x 14½" and the mirror is about 12" x 16" The width between the two front legs- which also defines your knee space- is about 19" We don't have a matching chair for it. Emily used to sit on a piano stool on the rare occasions when she used it. Because we don't want to get involved in crating this item for shipping. This is an antique brass swivel table vanity/makeup/shaving mirror with a cherub and shell motif. There are 3 cherubs sitting among scrolling leaves and 2 acorn knobs to tilt the mirror. The mirror stands 13.25" high and 12" wide from acorn tip to acorn tip. This lovely mirror is in very good condition. Some of the embossed brass has been worn down by use and age. Most noticeably in the half shell on the bottom. The backing is a brown velvet that has discolored(see photos) All slot screws are present holding the mirror onto the frame. We are guessing this is from the 40's and was part of a bedroom dresser set.Looks like a tray with 2 metal pieces attached to two wooden end pieces. The back is made of a thin wood. The front is hard to describe. It looks like blue cobalt type mirror(like coffee tables in the 40's and 50's) color and it looks like mirror glass. A colored piece of glass or something between the glass. I do think it is the blue mirror that was popular in the 50's but you can't see your image in it like you can a mirror. It does reflect but not like your regular mirror. Looks great on the vintage dresser with comb and brush or with your makeup. Also looks very elegant with your jewelry displayed on it. It is in good condition with a dent in the end of the metal rod, but not real noticeable, just gives more of the vintage look. Vintage Powder Compact Lot Of 2 1938 Carved Horse Brass Wood Makeup Vanity
For your consideration I have a Lot of Two Vintage Powder Compacts. The first features a dog on the front. This compact is wood and the top slides back to expose a mirror. If you continue to slide the lid the mirror flips up and there is the powder pad and the net type powder puff that held the powder in place. I believe that at some point this may have had a mirror attached to the other side of the main mirror as there is glue residue. Overall this is a really great compact. Under the powder puff it features the words"Schisgall" U.S. PATENT No 2104104. This patent was made in 1938 by T.Schisgall. The second compact features a caved horse head on a Venier finish. The Venier is placed on a brass compact. This compact open by using a small button that you push on the front. When you open it there is a mirror in the lid. The mirror ... morefeatures a crack on the bottom right corner. The pieces are still there. And could be glued back in ace. This also features the powder puff and the powder net to hold it in place. White Wicker Vanity makeup table with stool
very nice wicker vanity with matching stool. It has a drawer also. Vanity table is 29 1/2" tall x 30" long x 16 1/2" with out tubes on back for a mirror/ and 17" with tubes. The drawer is 12 3/4" wide. Stool is 20 1/2" long x 14 3/4 wide x 16" tall. There is no mirror to go with this table but has a place for one. I will work with U-Ship on this table. There is some wear on paint is places. Over all good condition.

There is a scratch on the end of the covered portion of the tray which looks like it was scratched with a sharp object. Next to the scratch there is a stress mark in the shape of a peace symbol, but it is not cracked or scratched as I feel nothing with my fingernail, so I call it a stress mark. I tried to photograph ... moreit. The pink color on the outside is a bit faded compared to the color on the inside of the tray covered with the lid, but that is due to exposure over the years.
