There is 1 armchair and 5 side chairs. The set is mahogany and there is a beautiful high gloss finish on the tabletop. The set is truly Federal style with heavy Hepplewhite and Sheridan influence. The chairs are shield back and have tapered reeded front legs and an“H” stretcher. The seats are upholstered and in great condition. All the chairs are solid and sturdy. One chair has a couple of nicks in the back of the crest rail but just general wear showing on each one other than that. There are no stains. Rips, tears or odors in the upholstered seats. The table has a double pedestal with reeded legs and brass capped feet. When the butterfly leaf is up the table will not close completely tight up to the leaf on one side. I do not know the maker or exact date this set was made. This set is vintage and will not be perfect. The measurements are: Table; 30 11/16 inches tall, 66 inches side to side and 42 inches front to back. It weighs 114 pounds. Additional 2 Leaves(each) 7/8 inch tall, 42 inches side to side and 12 5/8 inches front to back. They weigh 21 pounds total. Arm chair: 39 ¼ inches tall, 25 inches side to side and 24 3/8 inches front to back. It weighs 15 pounds. Side chairs(each) 37 ¾ inches tall, 19 ½ inches side to side and 23 1/8 inches front to back.
