This is a great 8 drawer Chest of drawers by Lane. This is from the Tuxedo Line#921. It is believed to be designed by Paul McCobb and was made during the time he worked for them. It is made from walnut with gorgeous bowtie rosewood inlays which are mimicked in the aluminum pulls. This is one of the most sought out designs by Lane. The piece does have some issues as seen in pics#5-9. The majority of which are on the top. Which is quite high, making them not very noticeable. As with most Lane pieces, this is very well made and is a pretty heavy piece. The serial number is 165010. Lane takes the date of manufacture and reverses it to come up with the serial number. Making the date of manufacture 01/05/61. Overall, a beautiful piece of mid century design. Lot of 8 Vintage Salvage Antique drawers approx. 14 1/2"L X 8 1/2"W X 6"H outer dimensions(not including hardware) Inner dimension drawer space approx. 12 3/4X7 1/4. Copper or copper plate drawer pulls. These were pulled from a built-in wall of drawers from a store that was being renovated in the eighties. The drawer'wall' was built in the apothecary/ general store style with each drawer labeled. Unfortunately. I only salvaged eight of the drawers and none of the structural cabinetry. I'm not sure of the actual age, but the store had been there for decades and the building itself is a hundred years old. Used, but should clean up nicely. This smart little brown case is in great shape with almost no wear. Something must have sat on top of it because in certain light you can see four little indents on the top where the feet of something sat. I could not capture it on a picture. So it is pretty minimal. The drawers are that super old hard heavy plastic from the beginnings of plastic. The outside of the case measures 10.5 wide 8.5 tall and 9.75 deep. Delfield has a lot of models in their 4400 series and many of them vary only slightly from one to the other. I'll tell you all that I know, though. This is a 48" sandwich/salad prep table that has 4 drawers in lieu of doors on the bottom section. Each top drawer holds one full size 12" x 20 pan and three 1/9 size pans 4" 6" deep. Each bottom drawer holds one 12" x 20 pan and three 1/9 size pans 4" deep. The top has two separate flip up doors in which you can store 8 pans. The exterior is finished in stainless steel while the interior is finished in Delfield's ... moretrademark blue, ABS plastic. Here is a vintage wooden doll size/ child's toy chest of drawers. Looks like 1940's mod art deco styling. Measures approx. 8 1/2" tall x 11 1/2" across x 4 1/2" deep. Each removable/ interchangeable drawer is about 8 1/2" across x 2 3/8" tall and has a 4 5/8" long dowel handle. Weighs about 2 lbs. Sturdy construction with approx. 7/16" and 1/4" thick wood pieces. The back of the chest is cardboard and the back and bottom of each drawer is cardboard. Pieces are nailed together. I do not know the type of wood. Has a golden brown stain. The bottom cardboard of one drawer has a stamped mark that I cannot read other than"IN. NO. 17" may ... morejust say INSPECTOR) Has a girl's name handwritten in pencil across the upper back cardboard edge. Normal wear and aging to the wood. With expected scuffs, crazing, scratches. The cardboard back has a lot of water stains and has a crease/tear at the lower end.
