The chair shown is offered elsewhere in our collection Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably preserved English Chippendale Period Kneehole Desk. Circa 1740-50. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk, just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. Appearing to be part of the frame design, but actually pulls outward smoothly as an extra hand dovetailed drawer. Antique Stacked Drawer Unit Antique. Wooden, stacked 8-drawer unit/cupboard/cabinet that is believed to have come from the old Elgin Watch Company/Factory in Elgin, Illinois. The piece, although, is not marked. The cabinet and drawer fronts are made of oak wood and the secondary wood on the inside portions of the drawers is poplar wood. The top of the piece is recessed and may have had a marble/granite or other top at some point. The external sides are panelled. The drawer pulls are mixed styles and most are not original to the piece. 2 of the older cast iron pulls might be original and are marked'Pat'd Aug 8, 1871' Pre-owned. It has a somewhat rough primitive and ecclectic appearance with much wear. It has been used as a'hardware parts bin' so there are many soiled areas and stains present. There has been rebuilding/re-gluing/reinforcing/cleaning ... moreof the piece over the years to make it sturdy and ready for re-use. The 5th drawer front looks to have been an old replacement as it has a locking mechanism and is not quite the same size as the others(perhaps it was once a desk drawer front) Overall dimensions of the unit are: Height- 33 7/8" Width- 15" Depth- 22 5/8" With the handles included the depth is 23 1/2" All drawers have the following external dimensions: Width- 12 3/4" Depth- 20" The top 5 drawers are all 2 7/8" tall. 1800's Antique Sewing Spool Cabinet with 8 drawers. 3 of the drawers have dividers. The other 5 are full size drawers. The cabinet itself stands 40" tall x 30 1/4" wide. 21 1/8" from back to front. The inside measurements of each drawer are 3 3/8" deep. 25 1/2" wide x 18" from back to front Has Victorian Drawer Pulls- the original hardware. There are some nicks and scratches on the top. As expected on a piece that is this old. We believe it is Mahogany or Chestnut. It is a very nice. Heavy piece of furniture from the 1870's. Primitive spice 8 drawers chest - knotty pine - southwestern look handcrafted
This is a one of a kind handmade spice chest with 8 drawers. I don't know the kind of wood but looks to me like knotty pine on the drawer fronts. It doesn't show any signs of wear so I doubt it has been used. I detect no odors. It stands 13" tall and 4 1/2" front to back. Each drawer front is 3 X 4 1/2" and the drawer itself inside is 4" X 1 1/2" tall. The knobs are handmade pegs and they stick out about half an inch. They used little brass finish nails to construct this and the little holes are visible on the drawer fronts. There are three holes for mounting it to the wall on the rounded top. This has a very Southwestern look to it and I can see it being very happy in a Western décor. It is heavy and so shipping will be calculated for you. Any questions please contact me.

It has a metal hanger on each side of the back for mounting on the wall. The top is flat and could also be used as an additional shelf if needed. The bottom two shelves are hidden behind two doors with glass inserts in each panel. Each door has a mushroom design painted on them.The doors stay closed with a magnet on the top of each door. The two shelves behind the doors have a lip on the front edge to keep your jars from falling out. It's a good solid shelf that's put together very well. The joints are all tight and secure. There are two small drawers underneath the shelves. These measure about 5" wide, 1 1/2" high and 1 3/4" deep. The set includes ... more8 spice jars with faux wood caps. One of these caps is split on both sides, but still functional. Four of the jars have plastic shaker caps and four don't. 5 of them are labeled with a sticker. There's thyme, ginger, cloves, paprika and chili. Two of them have faint marker writing on them that may come off with a little elbow grease. A little TLC is all this piece needs to make it a star! A Very Early Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine with Base Cabinet& Drawers in"as found" condition. The numbers we can see are 4291382 and 355382. The patent date reads April 22. 1879. The base is a cast iron figure 8 base. The machine has a good amount of japanning left on it. The cabinet is walnut with 2 drawers on the left with Victorian teardrop pulls. The left side folds up but there is no locking device to keep it up. The treadle and belt mechanism work and this powers the machine. The wood veneer shows a few light chips. The original finish is thin. It has the lid and one of the latch pins is missing. The cabinet measures 16 1/2" deep by 40" open and 31" in length closed. Check out the photos. Heavily Weighted Wood Staunton Chess Set and 19" Board with Drawers, 3-7/8" King
Absolutely gorgeous Staunton wood chess set and inlaid wood board. The pieces come with an extra queen and are heavier than my triple weighted regulation chess pieces. They are flawless. New looking, with thick bright green felt on the bases. The king measures 3-7/8" long. And all of the pieces are slightly larger than the basic regulation sizes, especially the rooks, which was nice to see. The board is extremely well made. With what appears to be mahogany and birch, but I could be wrong. It has a smooth surface. With not a scratch or dent at all. The drawers are flush and contoured with the expert craftsmanship of the board. Which measures 19" x 19" and 3-1/8" high, with a 16" playing surface. Antique Chinese Wood & Brass Jewelry Chest with 8 Carved Jade Panels "5 Drawers"
This is a"Hand Crafted Chinese Wood& Brass Jewelry Chest with Eight Carved Jade inserts" It's in Mint Condition. The chest has a total of five green silk lined drawers. The bottom drawer has two oval Jade inserts. The top drawers have sections to hold rings. Bracelets, etc.This chest has all the hardware(see picture 4 and 5) They have brass butterfly hinged pieces to pull open the drawers. The two largest jade panels are on the front two doors, rectangular with brass leaves to pull open the drawers. The bottom drawer has a brass bat handle and two oval jade inserts. There are light green. Hand carved, floral inserts of nephrite jade. Two of the largest pieces of jade are rectangular and six are oval for a total of eight pieces of jade. The box is covered all around with brass fittings of ribbons and stylized bats. The carrying ... morehandle on top is a brass fruit bat. With a brass medallion.
