Antique Completely Restored Oak Hotel Washstand with Mirror Chest Dresser No Res
You are bidding on a hotel washstand that has been completely restored by a professional refinisher. It is in more or less perfect condition now. It is finished in a medium oak color with minwax provential stain. Finished with several coats of Sherwin Williams sand& sealer and two coats of Sherwin Williams top coat water proof lacquer. The entire piece of furniture has been sprayed and sealed good, including drawer bottoms, back and bottom of the piece. The solid brass has been cleaned and lightly polished with jewelers rough. The finish is hand-rubbed and it looks like it has just be waxed. The bevel mirror is original, has some distortation because of age. The towel bar including the bar itself is all original. The base comes apart from the towel bar and mirror for easy transport. As you can see the back looks just about as good as ... morethe front. Be sure to add me to your! This ANTIQUE LATE 1800's VICTORIAN DRESSSER is made from solid walnut and has been refinished. It has three large drawers with a fancy skirt around the bottom on four legs with rollers. Which roll very well. On top of this are two glove boxes on each side separated by white marble. The back holds the elegant curved and bevelled mirror housed in a walnut curved frame with applied wood decoration and a special decoration extending several inches above the top of the mirror frame. There are four original leaf carved handles which are not on the piece. The buyer would have the choice of putting on handles of his choice or matching the original handles with two more. The wood case on this one is amazing. Still has what appears to be the original end nuts on the brackets that hold the mirror to the base. And check out the carved leaf details that are at the four corners of the mirror frame. The wood on the whole piece is immaculate. No chips cracks or splits on what shows on the outside. The bottom of the drawer is not split. Check out the bizarre doweling at the bottom and the dovetail only goes into the one side not the other. I found that to be very unique. I see no maker marking on this piece. The felt on the inside of the drawer was done more recently. We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique mahogany dresser with matching mirror. The maker of this piece is unknown and we believe this dates to the late 1800's- early 1900's. The dresser stands approximately 36.5" high. The width is 21 5/8" and the length is 46" The mirror is made from solid mahogany and has a beautiful broken arch pediment at the top with an applied carved design in the center. It measures 35.5" high to the top of the pediment. The width is 24 7/8" across the ached top and th emain body is 23.75" wide. Made from solid mahogany the dresser has a classic Chippendale style design with applied carved moldings on the bracket feet and reeded columns on the front. The dresser has four drawers with a divider in the top drawer. The drawers are all dove tail jointed and also retain the original ... morebrass pulls. The dresser appears to have had an early refinish job done on it. There are age and use appropriate scratches and dings on the top and feet. As well as a small white spot on the top. There is a small crack on the top left edge. There are also what look like fingernail marks behind the pulls. All of the drawers are tight on this piece. This is a structurally solid dresser. Being offered here is a vintage three drawer dresser with exquisite architectural lines and hardware. Please view pictures for details. We are not sure if the wood is walnut or oak. The overall height of this chest measures 66 ½" tall and overall 38 3/8" wide. The marble top measures 17 ½" deep and is 38 3/8" wide. The dresser is 17" deep and 36 ½" wide. The beveled glass on the mirror measures 29 ½" wide and 23 ½" tall. The wheels make this furniture stand 2" off of the floor. One of the knots in the wood on the backside has a whole in it. We did not notice any cracks in the wood on this chest. It has wonderfully old patina and the brass hardware is stunning on the burl finish of the dovetailed drawers. Early 1800's American Architectural Tabernacle Mirror Frame c.1800/1840 with Hand Painted Floral Panel Gilded Wood- Original Mirror Glass DESCRIPTION A beautiful Country Sheraton Antique Tabernacle Frame with the old thin mirror glass. This handsome frame and original mirror is nearly 200 years old and still in beautiful condition. A lovely architectural frame. And very well proportioned. The slender columns are reeded and turned at the top and bottom. As typical of Country Sheraton frames this has plain corner blocks that were never decorated with rosettes. The wide projecting cornice has small ball drops above the hand painted floral panel. The frame retains the original finish, a mixture of water gilding and gold metallic paint that has a burnished finish. The glass is very thin and as expected on mirror glass of this period it does ... moreshows great signs of age overall. Quite charming to look at with the darkening of the silvering. An old thin wood backing is retained on the reverse. It has screw eyes and wire and is ready to hang. This beautiful 19th century pieces has wonderful details and we believe it to have its original finish. Beveled mirrors and brass hardware as well as the original velvet top on the storage area below the center mirror, and the original casters intact on the base.This splendid dressing vanity features great storage areas as well as the triple dressing mirrors that can be adjusted to different angles.just a fabulous piece for a dressing room or bedroom. This vanity measures 72 1/2 inches in height from the floor to the top of the cheval mirror at the center. The carved details on this mirror are geometric in design reflecting more of a adobe southwest style motif. The mirror measures a total height to the top of the crest of 49-1/2” inches tall by 36” inches wide. And weighs between 20-25 lbs. The mirrored inside dimensions are approximately: 29” inches tall by 17” inches wide This would make a wonderful statement in a foyer. Bedroom or great room over a fireplace mantel in a southwest décor style, log cabin or Victorian themed home. There have been restoration modifications to the mirror as follows: There was no original mirror when I purchased it. Just the ... moreframe and it’s been replaced by a modern glass mirror. There was only one unattached shelf bracket, but someone can have a wood craftsman duplicate another one to match booth sides if they so choose. The mirrored frame piece(I believe) was originally made to swivel for a large dresser, but solid brackets are now attached to the back to make this piece stationary since there was also no original hardware that came with it. The wood was faded from years of neglect in a bright storeroom as seen by the bracket shelf, but the mirror frame has been refinished with a clear natural stain to bring out the original color of the walnut wood. The photos show more of a reddish tint to the color, but it’s really a warm medium brown tone. It was very difficult to photograph in my office. Overall wood condition is very good, no splits, cracks, chunks missing, mold or rot. Although our price is reflective of these modifications. There is still value in owning this beautiful piece of history for generations to come. for sale a very nice antique quartersawn oak dresser with original beveled mirror and hardware. dresser is serpentine in the front which is a very desirable and somewhat rare feature. it has a great carved harp for the mirror which hopefully the pictures will show. it has abundant quartersawn flake on the top and all the drawers and dividers. the finish is overall in very good condition. There is a couple of dark spots where i expect someone laid a cigarette. the mirror has never been resilvered and is a bit smokey but is in good condition and quite functional. i would not have it redone as the smokey appearance just adds patina as far as i am concerned. the piece is quite heavy and very solid, no loose joints, wiggles, or wobbles. the drawer joints are dovetail, probably made about 1895-1905. it is a large dresser being 73 inches tall without ... morecasters, 48 inches wide, and 22.5 inches deep. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. i can arrange shipping it that be of benefit to anyone. good luck.

Solid walnut with burl panels. The satiny finish is in excellent condition with warm patina. The mirror has just enough"smoke" to show its age, it is mounted above two small jewelry drawers. All drawers have round or"pin and cove" dovetail joints, characteristic of the age. Engraved brass hardware is of the period. But not original to the piece, for unknown reasons. Five lower drawers were latched with a"sidelock" mechanism- at the right side is a hinged column secured the drawers, but the lock is missing. This Solid Tiger OAK wood side by side Dresser is as functional as it is BEAUTIFUL! These dressers were used widely in Hotels for the efficient use of space.
