Late 1800's Curly Maple Woman's Victorian Dresser with Oval Beveled Mirrors
This beautiful dresser is in servicable condition. Original beveled mirrors intact. No cracks. Center mirror swivels vertically. It is believed that the drawer hardware is original. It does not appear that it was ever refinished and therefore has a lovely patina. There are some scratches, slight warpage and small imperfections on the top surface. I bought this 35 years ago and at the time the maker's name and'1896' was faintly handwritten on the back. But the lettering has disappeared over time. Late 1800's Marble top/Maple oak wash stand signed!
This awesome piece came out of my great. Great, great grand parents house if Norfolk, CT in the late 1800's. The wood is in excellent condition. Marble is perfect, no cracks, splits or signs of breakage. The marble does have some smoke damage, my house burnt down as a kid and yet this survived, but nothing that can't be buffed out. The stand has a skeleton key that locks both the drawer and the cabinets. It is signed by the original maker. These pieces are rare, especially in this condition. It does have a side table that goes with it. I have it in a separate posting but would like sell them as a set. Serious bidders only!

This is a very nice walnut dresser with wishbone mirror. As far as we know it is all original. It has been owned by one family for the past 70 years. We do not know the history of it prior to that. The piece is in very good condition with exception of a crack on the top of the right hand glove box and a couple dark stains on the top of the dresser. As you know. Any antique furniture will have minor nicks. We have not tried to repair anything, but did apply a good furniture oil to the entire surface. Acorn pull handles. Mid to Late 1800's New England Painted 3-Drawer Dressing Table - A True Piece
Up for auction is a beautiful painted 3 drawer mid to late 1800's New England dressing table. I have had this table for about 5 years. But never found a good place to put it, so I'm moving it on. It is in very good condition, I have not done anything to it while I've had it. Please note that the dressing table is not crooked; the frame in pic#1 is. The floral motif is painted, not stenciled. The color you see in the pictures is pretty true. It is a dull yellow, old color. The drawers are dove-tailed and chamfered, with square nails. Nice old construction. I'm not sure what type wood this is- pine? I don't think it is oak, walnut, could be ash? Note the blue/white paint in the drawers- this could have been the very original color. The back does have some writing on it- probably the owner of the piece from a long time ago. ... moreLooks like there was some support added(see back) The drawers pull out smoothly- no sticking. This is very nice walnut dry sink or vanity with towel bars. It would also make a very nice vessel sink in a powder room. As far as we know it is all original. It is mostly walnut. But it appears that perhaps a piece of oak was used in the back support piece(see picture- wood grain appears oak in back view of piece) Very nice scalloped shelf at the bottom. The piece is in very good condition with exception of a minor repair of crack in one of the towel bars. It is not very noticeable and is solid. As you know. Gorgeous Original Vintage Renaissance Revival dresser late 1800's one-family Great-Grandma's dresser! From what we can learn. This is a Victorian Renaissance Revival substyle, informally appraised at $3,000, probably worth way more. We do know that this piece is all original, right down to its porcelain casters and ornate drawer-pulls. It hasn't been painted or stripped or refinished. Grandma got it from HER mother-in-law and kept it in her 8-bedroom house until she moved into an apartment. It then went home with my father and we had it in our home for the next generation and then some. Very loved and very seldom even used. What this dresser has seen! Grandma was a flapper(even owned a dance hall! and that likely explains the apparent damage-a possible cigarette burn on one of the little shelves. Nobody has smoked around it for ... moreabsolutely years. Actually we never even saw her smoke. We were told by the appraiser that the small shelves were once used for candles-before they had electricity. The wood is gorgeous. From the raised burl panels to the dark grained(probably walnut) sections. The marble tops are amazingly beautiful, as we've seen these in other dressers with chips and cracks, and these are HEAVY. And look at that crown on the top! Look at the hardware! We've appreciated the fact that. Although it is tall(just under 7 1/2 ft. to the top of her crown) the actual footprint of this dresser is fairly small at 20" X45" It seems to go everywhere. This piece was built with astonishing detail. It's possible that it could be actually pre 1900, but again, we don't know. Not antique dealers, just selling a family heirloom. You sure couldn't get anything new with this workmanship at this price. Please look carefully at the pictures and ask questions and for more pictures if needed. Late 1800's Curly Maple Woman's Victorian Dresser Oval Beveled Mirrors Oregon
This beautiful dresser has the original beveled mirrors intact. No cracks. Center mirror swivels vertically. It is believed that the drawer hardware is original. It does not appear that it was ever refinished and therefore has a lovely patina. There are some scratches, slight warpage and imperfections on the top surface consistent with the age of the item. Sometimes the drawers can be a little balky sliding them in and out. I bought this 36 years ago and at the time the maker's name and'1896' was faintly handwritten on the back. Late 1800 to Early 1900 Dovetailed Drawer Maple Dresser with Paneled Sides
Crafted of warm maple wood late 1800 to early 1900's. This is a 3 drawer dresser in a great size. Perfect for storage of linens, bathroom supplies or in child's bedroom. Would also be great for craft supplies. The hardware appears to be original. Each drawer is dovetailed, has a wood lock opening and opens and closes easily. There is no key. The sides of the dresser are classically paneled. The piece has the original castors. The wood is age appropriately worn and in excellent antique condition. The dresser stands 30" tall. Scottish Mahogany Highboy circa late 1800's
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Dimensions– 44”w x 81”h x 19.5”d. The large proportions and boldness of this beautiful mahogany veneer highboy(or chest on chest) indicate that it is Scottish in origin. A partial label on the back for the Furniture Depository shows an address in Leeds. The label also shows a folio number and other information. But it is very difficult to read. Although there are age cracks on both sides. The mahogany veneer appears to be in very good condition overall. All of the original wood knobs and brass keyholes are intact. Although three knobs have broken collars. One or two knobs are loose. All knobs appear to have a mother-of-pearl inlay in the center. All but one of the locks appears to be original. There are no keys. The piece is on wheels. Which I’m sure are not original, but do make the piece very easy ... moreto move. This is a very old piece. I have done my best to describe its condition. Needham Melodeon Circa late 1800’s
Beautiful late 1800’s melodeon by Needham. This piece is in excellent condition and just a beautiful Parlor. Library, Den, exc. Decorator piece with functionality. Everything appears to work and we were told it was tuned recently. The keyboard is of ivory and the cabinet top folds to create a beautiful closed cabinet when not in use. The overall dimensions are: 44” wide x 24” deep x 39” tall. The cabinet is a beautiful medium tone walnut. Buyer will need to pick up at our store(Jones Antiques) in Cookeville TN. Gorgeous Original Vtg Victorian Renaissance Revival dresser late 1800's w/Crest
This is a beautiful old Dresser I believe from the late 1800's. It is very large. And came out of a mansion in Tampa, on what is referred to as Bayshore Blvd. The measurements are as follows: 8' 3" tall, 20" deep, and 50" long. The mirror by itself measures 18" by 47" It has two smaller drawers, then two large drawers, and then what is called a hidden drawer. when all the drawers are closed you can't even tell the bottom drawer is there. It has a beautiful lady crest at the top. The marble is in great condition. This piece is very heavy. For shipping the mirror will come off. And the marble will also come off. I can't find a name on the piece, but I would think somewhere it would have one. This piece is way too large for our house, which is the only reason for selling it. I have not listed the amount ... morefor shipping. Because whomever buys it needs to make the arrangements to have it moved. I will work with anyone who comes to the house to pick it up, but they'll need to bring the manpower to move it. I'm sure that a couple of guys could move it with it taken apart.
