The oak commode was completely hand made out of heavy solid oak. The top is about 1 1/4" stock oak. The drawers also have thick stock fronts as the interiors are made out of pine. The entire piece is made of thick stock oak. The back splash is about 6 5/8" high and hand carved with spoon carvings. The top is 36" or 3 ft. wide and 18 1/2" deep. The commode itself is 37" tall to the top of the back splash. The commode was found painted green and was professionally refinished to its original condition and now ready for your home. It was hand stripped ... moreand hand refinished with a beautiful lacquered golden oak hand polished finish. Many hours of hand refinishing to bring this piece of furniture back to life by a master furniture restorer. There was one minor repair to the right side with a spliced piece of oak to fill in a crack(no wood putty was used) The black cast iron handles are all original and not replaced. The piece is completely original! It is one of a kind as you won't find another commode like this one. The oak stock was hand planed and cut to construct the heavy oak commode. Use in bedroom with traditional pitcher& bowl& bonnet on top shelf; or side of bed on which you can put your accessories. Lamp, radio, etc. Could be set it in entry to catch hats/gloves, store afghans& blankets, sheets& towels. Great accent piece with many uses. Excellent piece! Golden Oak Stands 75” high x 41-7/8” wide” 2 small drawers on top to the right on which a bonnet would have sat 2 full drawers on bottom Mirror in excellent shape with decorative wood frame. Victorian Golden Oak Bow Front 2 Over 2 Dresser With Carved Mirror
Beautiful Golden Oak Victorian Dresser with mirror. It's 40" wide. 20" deep and about 67" high with mirror. Very nice condition. There are 2 small dark spots on the top which can be seen in photo slightly. Dove tailed construction on the drawers and hand carving on the oval mirror. On the sides of one of the bottom drawers the dove tailing is slightly warped from age and split slightly but the drawer opens and closes smoothly with no effort and is solid. If anything the color is slightly more golden than in the photos. And it is on castors. Mirror is removed easily. This is pick up only. Thanks.
