The cushions could be reupholstered but since they are completely removable, the foam cushion replacement and/or recovering should be simple. The wood laminate sides and backs are in very good to excellent condition. A stamp on the mechanical height adjustment knob on the bottom of the chair gives a date of 1977. 3 of the chairs are american made. Oak, and made by H.W. HULL. These are beautiful, high quality original spindle/cane barrel back chairs on casters. They have two adjustments, one for height an another to adjust the reclining feature of the chairs. These has never been repaired, and are just excellent vintage chairs. They do have some wear such as scuffs, small knicks, and some places where the original varnish is wearing down. None ... moreof that detracts from the function or form of the chairs, so they are ready to add their own distinct charm to the space you have in mind. The 4th chair is obviously a replacement for a chair that broke at one time. It was probably made in the 80's. And uses lower quality materials(plastic caster tops, I don't think it is oak, etc. it is not american made, and has a very slightly larger size and a lighter stain. The size difference isn't noticeable with general use, but the color can be noticed a bit(depends on the lighting in the room, etc) The last 2 pictures I have in the listing show the contrast of the replacement chair with the original chairs. You can see the bottom is different. And it has a slight style/color differences as well. That being said. It does blend quite well with the others, as the pictures show. These mid century modern round velvet club chairs are a rich unique persimmon color. Not red, not orange, somewhere in between. They are very solid and well made, in very good condition, with no rips, no tears, no stains, no loose stitching, everything is intact. They swivel a full 360 degrees. I don't know if they're 40's, 50's or 60's. They are very clean underneath and the wood legs and insets on the back of the chairs appear to be oak or maple. The underside of the chairs are immaculate, no loose staples and no tearing, fading or slack in the fabric. The upholstery has no areas where the velvet has been rubbed off. There is a little light soiling at the stress points that is normal for furniture this age and does not detract from the overall integrity of the look. Fabulous Pair of French Country Large Club Chairs The white waffle fabric is not the original fabric. They had been recently re-upholstered when I bought them about 10 years ago. I bought these from an antiques dealer in Florida who said they came from France. But I don't have any documents to prove provinence. They are very heavy chairs. Very sturdy, with feather filled cushions. I paid around $2500 for these chairs including freight and tax. The upholstery is a really interesting waffle textured white fabric. There is some light yellow-ish staining on the upholstery. Mostly on the inside of the arms near the seat and near the button holes on the back. There is light brownish staining on the front edges of the arms, on the edge at the top and some on the seat. This is mostly from the studs bleeding when steam cleaning the chair, not ... morefrom being dirty. There are also a few pulls in the fabric, mostly on the inside of the chairs and seat cushions. The staining is light and not immediately noticeable. The chairs are still in very good condition and are an impressive pair of club chairs. I still love these chairs and normally wouldn’t be selling them but our new place just doesn’t work with this style. It’s possible a little bleach or a professional cleaning can get them back to completely bright white. We are pleased to offer this exceptional pair of Mid Century. French Bergere style, club chairs. This outstanding pair features heavy, solid wood frames with interesting back detail. They also retain their original fabric. The fabric is a velvet style in a beautiful brick red or dark cinnamon(some brownish undertones) with gold accent dots. The pair have removable back rest cushions. The cushions have corded tassels and the cords are designed to hang on the ball finials which are located on the upper back sections of the frame. The chairs are low profile but are generous in width. We were told, at the time of purchase, that the chairs are Ethan Allen. However, we cannot find any manufacturer's mark to positively identify their designer. They are exceptional in quality and are design and were most assuredly expensive when new. They have ... morebeen well cared for and show very little evidence of age(1960s) or use. There are a few minor scuffs to the wood at the floor area but nothing distracting. The fabric is truly remarkable for its age. The fabric of the chair backs may be somewhat lighter than the front profiles which indicates that they sat with their backs in front of a window. Again, you have to look very hard to notice and it is not a glaring issue. As previously stated, these are exceptional chairs in very good condition. THEY ARE HEAVY and are quite sturdy as well. The chairs measure 26.5" tall to the top of the back frame and 27.5" tall to the small ball finials on the back frame. The chair is 30" front to back. They are 29" at their widest measurement. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of Mid Century chairs. This is a very nice quality pair. Manufactured by Sam Moore. The chairs are matched, Louis XVII style, but have different colored fabrics which gives lends a lot of interest. The chairs have Pecan wood frames with a medium wood tone and a black, lightly splattered finish. The frames are nicely contoured with a slightly rounded profile. The chairs are a low profile with button tufted accents on the backs. They have removable seat cushions. The legs are squared and tapered. The fabric is velvet with a short nap(not crushed velvet) The chairs have very tight springs with the original burlap underneath. This is a gorgeous pair of chairs with nice, vintage character. They are in very good condition with minor signs of age/use. The wood has a few bumps and bruises to the finish ... morethat is not severe and can be resolved. The fabric is overall good. There are a couple small stains that may be able to be removed with cleaning. The gold chair has one small area of wear, about the size of a dime. The red chair has an area of fading. These are all minor in appearance, they are not glaring, but I do want to mention. Overall, considering their age(1950s) the chairs are very good. The chairs are very high quality and are structurally excellent. GORGEOUS! The chairs measure 32" tall. They are 26.5" wide and 29" front to back. DESCRIPTION: Offered is a pair of 1980's Jack Cartwright design le corbusieer chrome clue chairs with an ivory ultra suede. Complete label remains on one chair. These are the"grand" size lounge chairs. Removable cushions on a tubular chrome finish metal frame. Industrial. Steampunk, loft style. CONDITION: Solid construction. Light oxidation at corners on chrome finish. A couple small areas of chrome wear. Ultrasuede upholstery needs cleaning but has no smells or signs of animals.
