Antique Appaloosa Horse-Arrow Weathervane-Cast Aluminum 26.5" Tall-1-Bullet Hole
Antique Appaloosa Horse Weathervane Up for consideration is a tall. Over 26" old, all aluminum, weathervane, featuring an Appaloosa horse on a the arrow directional. The arrow tail is complete with one bullet hole through the lower half of the feather portion of the arrow. The metal is all pretty straight, but not perfectly straight. All of the vane has been recently painted, with the exception of the arrow. The base has a screw like bottom. The arrow is 21 1/4"long, the horse being 6 1/8" tall and 7 1/2" long, and the directionals are 13 3/8" long, with the letters being 2 9/16- 2 5/8" in height. It weighs about 1 lb. and 4 oz. Antique American Folk Art Tin Car Weather Vane Sedan 3 D ESTATE BARN FIND! Estate find in California. This is a great medium size folk art weather vane. Rare three dimensional car! No roosters or horses here, this is a nice antique car formed out of tin and mounted on a vertical pole with direction cross members. The cross members have the compass directions also cut from tin. I'm not sure of the model car but it has a long sleek body. Possibly a sedan of sorts, tin spoke wheels a formed headlights and a double ball hood ornament. There is a stud in the base of the car for mounting on the compass pole. Good antique condition with original green-grey patina. Has some tin peeling on the base of the car and the front below the grill. This is due to being out in the weather for years before being stored away in a barn. Circa 1850 ANTIQUE CUPOLA - Gorgeous Architectural Piece!
This wonderful cupola sat on our first home. When we had the slate roof replaced. We removed it. The home it sat on was a converted barn that was built in the early 1800's. During prohibition, the townsfolk were rumored to keep a stockpile of illegal liquor in the loft of the barn. The roof has a gorgeous patina. The louvers are in great shape and the only hint of wood degrading at all is at the very top where the weathervane was attached. Hopefully all of the photos will show the overall condition. Late 1800 to early 1900's weathervane by Jos Barnett& Co. Barnett was in business in Riverside. Iowa from 1896 until the depression The entire piece stands 27" tall. The ornate arrow is 19" long and made of cast iron with 2 stainless steel clips that hold the glass insert in place. The arrow has been gold gilded and has some wear and pitting along the front side and on the two outside corners of the square holding the etched glass also on the front side The ruby red. Deeply etched, glass piece is 5" long by 3" wide. The glass is in fantastic condition with no chips or scratching The ball no longer has the protective end caps and does have some chips in both rims. It is 5" across. No cracks or other chipping The copper center rod with the crown is 25" total length. The crown itself is 3" by 3" ... moreand also copper There is a 3" long brass sleeve with a set screw that slides over the copper rod to just under the arrow. Tighten the set screw and this holds the arrow in place. Weathervane of Sulky Driver and Running Horse c.1870
This is a wonderful antique copper and zinc weathervane that was probably designed from one of Cushing's renditions of a Sulky. Driver, and Horse in Courier and Ives as far back as c.1870. The horse is very similar to the then popular Japanese Racehorse, Blackhawk. This weathervane went to the Antiques Roadshow in June of 2010 in Billings, MT. It was authenticated by the Keno brothers and Michael as being at least as old as 1870, made up of copper and zinc, and is in excellent condition. The weathervane is mounted at one point on a 31" long copper tube under the horse(as pictured) With an opening underneath with which to mount directionals, etc. The height of the vane is 17.5 inches at it's highest point and approx. 10 inches at its widest point. The patina is more oxidized on one side, giving it the bluish color of that of oxidized ... morecopper. The other side is more a darkened brownish color. The very fine reins are still intact. There are dents on one side, where possibly the vane was used for target practice. This does not detract from this great piece. There are no identifying marks present or a signature. As was often the case for weathervanes. Help yourself to this fine example of Northeastern U.S. Folk Art! Please send any questions that you might have about this unique item.

You are bidding on a vintage Weather Vane Aluminum Top mount of a eagle. Clean break from base. Not missing peaces. Need repair. Measurement: Eagle is 10" tall with out base, wing span is 6" and length is 6 1/2" Base length is 6" and has two hole for screw mount. The base mount on a swindle and came off of a weather vane. Repair is need to put the eagle back on the base. Beside the eagle being broken off, they are in very good condition, nothing broken or crack on the eagle wing or body. Age is unknown. Antique Weathervane- Zinc or Tin- Original Lightning Rod Arrow
This is a nice vintage weathervane made of zinc or tin. It may have had a glass piece at one time but I don't see anything that would have held the glass in place- there are no clips or screw holes where clips would have gone. Anyway. The weathervane is in nice shape with normal pitting and wear typical of the age of the piece. I did not try to clean it, I know the patina is important to most people. It measures about 21 inches long. I have another old weathervane arrow on now and will be happy to combine shipping. Thanks for looking.

LARGE ANTIQUE COPPER & ZINC MOLDED EAGLE WEATHERVANE 36 INCH WINGSPAN
This large antique copper and zinc molded weathervane stands approx. 26 inches tall and has a 36 inch wingspan. This rare lerge size weathervane is made of molded copper with zinc feet. The weathervane retains much of its original gilding. However, there is old yellow paint over most of the gilding. Some of the gilding on the wings has recently peeled off exposing the brown copper underneath, however, there are other areas where the gilding came off years ago and the copper has turned green. The eagle itself is in very good condition, however, there is a small dent in the ball. There are some cracks in copper rod that holds the eagle to the ball. Overall very good condition. As with all my items I am starting this auctin at $9.99 with NO RESERVE!

Vintage Emerald Green Lightening Rod and Ball
Up for auction today is a beautiful lightening rod and emerald green cut-to-clear ball. This piece stands approx 16" high and 2 3/4" wide. It is an egg shaped ball. I was told when it was purchased that it is either Hungarian or Czech. This makes sense because the Czech's do the glassware in cut-to-clear. It was never used. As the base is flat and the cable connector does not appear to have ever been used. This would make a beautiful piece to add to your collection or to purchase for the collector in your life. Up for auction a light blue vintage lightning rod round glass ball measuring 4.5" in diameter and 5 1/4" tall. There is a 1 inch opening at either end. One small chip on one collar. Rims are slightly rough. But otherwise in very good condition- three very small black specks in glass. There is a beautiful blue swirl in the glass of this blue ball. See pictures. Antique Primitive Cut Sheet Metal Dog Weathervane Folk Art Original
Antique Primitive Dog Weathervane Estate find from an antique collector in Pennsylvania. This is a great original folk art weather vane. No roosters or horses here, this is a unique cut heavy sheet metal dog standing on a primitive arrow. It has been painted a light gray color. I would probably remove the paint but will leave that you to the buyer. There is a small bracket on the bottom edge of the arrow that supports the 2.5" post that fits in the pole. Good antique condition with old painted patina and some small spots of white paint( Can be mounted on a pole or hung on a wall or displayed on a small stand. I also have the pole with the directional pieces(N. S, E& W) I am listing it separately because the shipping will be higher with the poles and the fixed directional pieces. These would mount on the rod and swivel to indicate wind direction. Both tabs for the stained glass panel are still there so you could easily slide an piece in.
