Antique Purple Glass Lightning Rod Ball / Moon and Star / Goshen Co.
Being offered is one antique glass lightning rod ball made by the Goshen Lightning Rod Company dating back to the early 1900's. It is amethyst in color with a moon and star pattern and measures approximately 4 1/4 inches across and 5 inches end to end from the collars(openings measure 7/8" inside diameter) There is some light chipping and rough edges on the collars which is quite common on antique lightning balls. Black scorching is visible but overall in great condition for its age. Amethyst in the moon and star pattern is hard to come by. Here is an opportunity to acquire one. VINTAGE W.C. SHINN MFG CO WHITE MILK GLASS LIGHTNING ROD BALL! BEAUTIFUL!
Hello. This auction contains one beautiful piece! This is a 100% authentic vintage W.C. Shinn MFG CO white milk glass lightning rod ball! Please see pictures, this is a super nice vintage piece! As you can see in the pictures it has W.C name across the middle of the ball. The lettering sticks out at you, very nice clean lettering! Pictures of every view! The top is perfect no breaks in the end. The grove for the cap is perfect! The bottom spout end is also very nice! no breaks, cracks and has perfect groves for the cap! The only spot on this piece is the very bottom spout piece there is a micro area of cleanable rust. Should be able to see in pictures! Not a big deal at all on this item! The end caps would cove that area anyhow. The whole ball is solid with no cracks or any problems! Coloring of the the white milk glass is very nice and just ... moreis as how it shouls be! Wonderful add on to that weather vane project! Bid with confidence and please see pictures! The only minor problem is the end caps are missing but they are so easy and inexspensive to replace and you would have a even more wonderful piece for your project or whatever you use it for once you added those! This clear purple glass ball in in very good condition with just the typical manufacture chips in the rims on the top and bottom. The K ball is a much harder ball to find than an unmarked ball. This is a beautiful purple Kress Co glass ball that is 5" tall. The glass has faint swirls and a few tiny bubbles and some gray tarnish from being in the weather. Here we have a group of 4 used but good saddle style lightning rods. These were removed from an old tumbled down house here in Southern Ky. recently. All 4 aluminum saddles are stamped"Robbins Lightning Maryville. Mo. The lightning rods each stand 18" tall. All the clamping fingers are intact. These are some what bent and out of shape. These are not old antique but they should be usable for repair or with some good aluminum cable, put a system on your building. You get all 4 saddle braces for the money.

Set of 3 white milk glass lightning rod balls 1920's estimate. Great collection! These were made by The"S" Co. and have the marking on all 3. Brass fittings. There is some wear and repair to the fittings. But all the glass is in great shape without any cracks or chips. General small imperfections due to the blown glass for the age. 5 1/4" high(from the end of one brass fitting to the other) 4 1/4" diameter round. ACME Lightning Rod Co. #010 of a limited production inspired by Civil War tip
You are bidding on ACME Lightning Rod Co. Terminal production#010. This is about 10" long. 6" wide at the arms and ranges from 3/8" thick at the tip to about 5/8" at the base. It is drilled and tapped 3/8NC for attachment to solid copper conductor. This lightning rod is featured in new single terminal, single conductor, single electrode lightning protection that is reminiscent of the 1860 era systems utilizing the bayonet type terminals. This terminal is cast in Oshaloy. A lead free silicon Bronze metal. It is much thicker than the pressed original tips as it must be able to be struck by lightning without being compromised. These are very expensive to produce in this low quantity as only 3 prototypes and 10 production terminals exist at this time. Here we have for sale a very ornate lightning rod from the Ajax L.R.Co. This is 100% guaranteed original. The fancy iron scroll stand is 23" tall and the tube rod is 41" There is a split in the seam on the rod towards the top. No tip for this one. These usually have the mini 5 point Ajax tip. The tip just slips in the tube. Great looking old set-up not easy to find!

Antique Blue Milk Glass SLR Co Ghost Short Wide Collar Lightning Rod Ball
Up for auction is an antique blue milk glass lightning rod ball in the"ghost" SLR Short Wide collar pattern/variation. This ball measures approx 5 1/8" by 4 1/2" In 1923 the Security Lightning Rod Co from Burlington Wisconsin changed its name to Security Manufacturing& Contracting Co. The embossed SLRCo was removed from the molds but a"ghost effect" remained. On this ball the SLRCo ghosting is partially visible when held up to the light. These balls were not meant to be capped. Therefore the condition of the collars is critical to the value of the balls. This ball has extremely good collars(see images) This blue ball has beautiful full circle color swirling from the top to the bottom. There is one 3/8" bubble burst on the surface of the ball as shown in the picture. This does not detract from its attractiveness ... moreor value. There are no other chips. Old Weathervane , Nat Co, for Lightning Rod
Old and Original Weathervane. Name on vane is Nat Co which I believe stands for National Company lightning rod company. There are also special lightning rod balls with" National" embossed on them. This unusual does not look to be home made to me as it is machine cur-riveted and weight balanced. Neat old weathervane measures 24 1/2 inches long with the lettering measuring 4 inches high. Antique Cow Weathervane Zinc Body James Lightning Rod Co. Glass Ball Old Paint
For your consideration an antique American. James lightning rod and zinc cow weathervane. All the parts are authentic and original to this set-up. I purchased it at an old suburban farm yard sale many years back. The steel cross arrow and James logo are flanked buy a full bodied zinc cow at the other end. The is 32-1/4 inches. It has a 5-1/2 inch, zinc, cone base-cover and a hollow zinc finial. The dark amber glass ball is 4-1/2 inches in diameter. It stands 33-1/2 inches tall. The black and gold painted surface must be at least 50-60 plus years old. The condition is very good. There is only see a slight dent in one side of the cow. The glass ball is in great shape as are the cone and finial. It doesn't appear to have any old repairs. It's held together with cotter pins to keep it lined-up. Vintage/original white milk glass ribbed lightning rod ball by WC Shinn MFG Co
Check out my! This is a early antique milk glass lightning rod ball signed by the W C Shinn MFG Co. It is about 14" around the part that has the MFG name. It is 5 1/4" tall. The ends are rough cut and have some chips. There are some dark stains on the top of the ball. Look at the pictures.
