This old cast iron weathervane wind direction arrow is in shabby condition. I got this with a lot of other weathervane parts at a neat estate auction. As you can see it is very rusty. I can tell it's marked in spots but I find it impossible to read. It has a real primitive look if you have the right place and idea for it.

Cast iron metal piece arrow weathervane pointer fence top cross antique salvage!
This shiny black rusted ancient piece is 9.25 ounces in weight. 8.5 inches in length and 3.6 inches in width and.75 inch depth. I am not sure what it was used for. My best guess is a weathervane pointer. It has some rust showing through the top layer of paint and obvious previous rust buildup that has been painted over in the past. Old Antique Lightning Rod Weather Vane Pointer Arrow Shaft Lock Collar For Arrow
Nice. Copper/Brass pieces for a lightning rod arrow. Lock collar and insert. Screw are missing on the collars with the inserts. One is broken off inside. The 3 short lock collars have the screws intact, I have not tried to remove the screws. The longest insert is right at 1 7/8" long. Two of the tubes are about 3/4" outside. Another one is about 7/8" and one is 3/4" those two are a little distorted one the ends. No reserve. Read particulars. Nice. But needs some repair work. The brass frame is there for the glass but some of it is bent. The other shorter piece is separated as well. It came apart after I took the pictures. Old Antique Pig Hog Farm Barn Lightning Rod Weather Vane Pointer Arrow TLC
Nice.but.the solder has let go all of the way around the pig.otherwise he was pretty flawless other than a little light rust. Original arrow that the pig was mounted on. There is a small piece of the cast iron arrow missing where the copper shaft goes into the cast iron.I tried to show that in the last picture. The arrow is about 22" long. Ships to USA only. This is an old vintage c ast aluminum weathervane with the original green glass. The only marking on this item is on the arrow and it reads“200” The damage to this item is that it is broke in half and is in two separate parts. No other damage(which is a lot) other than the wear of weather from the past 100 years or more. There is a small spot of paint on the cast frame above the glass. The weathervane measures 3 5/8” tall at the glass and 22 1/4” long when put together. The pivot hole is 3/4” The last picture shows what it would look like if not broken in half. Stands approx 40" Tall and is on wooden base that is 11.5" x 13.25" I think that FARMYARD PIG is possibly zinc. He is standing on end of iron directional arrow that is 22" long. 2 BALLS including milk glass moon& stars ball& blue ball. Blue ball is chipped on the ends. Under the caps.
