Vintage Dutch Windmill Weathervane/Cast Base & Tin Tail & Blades
Vintage Dutch like windmill weathervane. Base is cast metal and has two holes in base to anchor to deck or whatever. Measures 15" high and is 5.25" in diameter at the base. Blades and tail are tin. Blades measure 12" in diameter and tail is 6" long. Works but needs a good mechanic to go over it to make it run smoother. Red cap on top just sits on gears. Has some use and some bends and looks to have had the blades painted once. Rest looks original with chips and scratches. Very nice vintage piece. Check out my! This is a nice antique lightning rod with a pretty blue milk glass-type globe. Recently taken off a barn. The rod is about 63" long. It has an attached metal arrow. The lightning ball has some roughness on the bottom edge, but no cracks.

Antique Wood Coupla Hard To Find
Up for auction we have this totally original coupla. These are getting hard to come by. This coupla measures 24 inches by 24 inches at the bottom where it attached to the structure. The roof itself measures 22 1/4 inches by 22 1/4 inches. It measures approx. 25 inches to the peak of the roof, and 48 inches to the top of the weather vane. I am going to say that the roof is copper based upon the patina that it shows. If this item is packed for shipping the weathervane will be removed and packed inside the base of the cupola for its protection. Antique Weathervane Rooster RARE Brass / Bronze Or Copper ? Hand Hammerd HELP ??
Here we have a estate find very old antique Weathervane rooster. Im not sure if its all hand hammer or if its copper brass or bronze nor its exact age you collectors will be the judge. I can tell you its very very old i could not find another one like it any ware on the computer. It looks like the person who owned it has a old drill bit and screw it on to a old antique block of solid wood. It does screw off its not welded on the drill bit. When you look at the bottom ware screw threads are it begins with a white metal but then it turns into a brass color metal so thats why i my self think its solid brass or bronze but again you collectors will be the judge. Please see the very close up picture of the threads and you will see exactly what i mean about the threads turning into a brass color after the first 4 or 5 threads. From the point of his beck to the tail its around 16 1/2 inches long. then from top of tail to bottom of tail its almost 10 inches long. then from his belly to top of his head around 12 inches tall then from one side of his body to other side its around 3 1/4 inches fat. Then when sitting on the block from the bottom block of wood to the top of the head its around 26 1/2 inches tall. The wood base it self is 2 1/2 inches thick and left to right around 6 1/2 and front to back around 6 inches long. Still in very good solid condtion i do not see anything broken at all. Again if any one can please tell me who made this and its exact age and what its made of i thank you very much for your help. This was found from the same estate sale as my old antique Gothic chandeliers plus a very old hunting duck hat with old pins on it that i have listed on ebay please have a look at them if you like. Antique Blue Slag Double Door Knob Lightning Rod Ball Scarce!
There is no reserve on this scarce antique lightning rod ball. We are pleased to offer this antique lightning rod ball in the“doorknob” shape. This shape is one of the harder ones to find. It is in the milk glass blue color with swirls similar to slag glass and is in excellent condition. There is some normal roughness on each end of the ball. But it can easily be covered with caps. There is some pitting in the glass that shows up as white pin dots. We think this would be a welcome addition to anyone’s collection. The measurements are 4 1/2" high x 4” across the midline. The holes measure 7/8” at one end and ¾” at the other. We only accept PayPal as payment. We will ship according to the shipping calculator.

Here's a Great Antique 19th Century American Running Horse Weathervane with Copper Body and Cast Iron Head. Offered at NO RESERVE! The weathervane measures approximately 24 and 1/4" long and stands about 15" tall. For the age and use it's in Very Good Condition; it has a variegated verdigris and rust patination which to me looks phenomenal. The head is rusty but solid, and there appear to be several filled holes here and there. Under the head the seam is split somewhat but that could be repaired. Of course there are dents, dings, and so forth, but nothing I would rate as being negative. As far as the history, it came off a barn in Fair Haven, NJ, which was built in the 1870s, and remained in the same family until I acquired it recently. Although I'm not sure how old it is. I'm guessing early part of the 20th century. The paint on the rooster itself is real chalky and appears to be chalk paint. It will come off on your hands. The rooster is a heavy cast aluminum and is thick-bodied. Not slender like most. The rest of it is a cast iron base and a metal tube. It has a long bolt through it. The rooster looks like it used to thread on there but it is now loose and will come off. This would be a great decorative piece as it just has that"look" to it. Here we have for sale a vintage original medium iron scroll lightning rod. Rod is a twisted star rod. Rod and tip is 52" tall. Has a 11" brass bayonet. Bayonet is Stamped"KRETZER BRAND" Has old black patina. Stand is 24" tall and is the noninsulated type. Check out the set screws to keep the rod from rattling around. Unusual to find a stand with big set screws. All feet are intact. Good solid straight lightning rod. I'll hafta bend the legs some to put it in a box. It is painted brass. There are areas of the paint off showing the metal underneath. I think it was used very little. I found it in a thrift store many years ago in St Johnsbury VT. An assessment of structural issues made it impossible to continue to use the original Weathervane for performances. Antique Copper Grape Pattern Lightning Rod
This is a beautiful lightning rod that has been mounted for display on a triangular base. The rod itself is copper. Which has been tarnished green with age, and the ceramic ball has a distinct grape design. Truly a piece of art. This quirky bit of Americana will go well with any decor style. There is minimal damage to the rod. The ball has small chips in either stem(which is very normal after use) And a few aesthetic scratches. The lower section of the rod is bent slightly, and the three supports are rusted because of normal use. Dimensions: 36" high with base. Ball measures about 4 1/4" across. The lightning rod ball is a blue milkglass globe-no chips or cracks-which measures approx. 4" long x 3 1/2" wide. These came off our own house. Which was originally built in 1892. They are larger rods that measure approximately 67" long and 63" long and both have the twisted spiral wrought iron holders and mounting legs. They appear to be very sturdy and in very good usable condition. They feature that great green antique patina that can only be associated with age. There is moderate of signs of wear.Weathering and use typical for these and also some minor rust, pitting on the spiral holders as found but for spending their lives in the elements they look good. Vintage James Weathervane Metal Tin COW~Folk Art~ Wall Hanging~Antique
This is an old original antique JAMES Company weathervane cow. She has had a tough life. She has been shot. Is missing some of her legs, and someone bent her head. Antique~ Arrow~ Barn Copula ~ Weathervane Lightning Rod~Parts~Repair~Restore
This is an antique metal arrow from an old weathervane. It is in good vintage condition. It measures 26" in length. There are 2 wires coming out of the tail to mount an animal of your choice.
