The fabric is in great condition with no holes or tears. The only real wear is on the front of the arms. Otherwise there's only minimal wear. There are no tags on it but we've sold other Thayer Coggin sofas and this one definitely has the look of one. It has very cool psychedelic fabric that I think actually looks better in person than in the photos we have posted. The colors really pop. Each of the arms is raised up on(5) square chrome cubes that still have a lot of shine to them. The(4) legs are wood wrapped with chrome. It's an amazing piece and a very rare find especially in this condition. It measures 63" long x 26" tall at the top of the backrest and 16" tall at the seat level. 1940's 1950's ORIGINAL MID CENTURY MODERN Sectional SOFA Couch Antique Vintage
This is a 1950's or late 1940's modern design. Split sofa in original condition. The photos tell the story, it's 8 feet 8 inches long. One of the sections is faded from sunlight. There is some light wear due to age, and on one of the cushions the fabric is splitting, but overall it's very good. The foam and all the fabric is original to this piece and over 60+ years old. This was the pride and joy of it's owner when moving to the suburbs in the late 1940's(mid century modern home) and was still sitting in the original living room. Description This is a vintage 1960s-1970s Danish modernist sofa. It is made in Denmark for SELIG which is a highly collected Danish maker of modern style furniture. It measures 74 inches in total length. 26 inches in height. It is original clean finish. It is missing the seat cushion which would be 67x21 inches. It is missing 1 or 2 of the rubber straps, plus a number of the original rubber straps have age cracks or are over stretched so you will need to replace some of the strapping. The only blemish to the sofa is there are a few little marks(indentations) on the back crest area, i did do a close of pic of a couple, there are a few other marks like that. Due to the size i cannot ship this out by normal shippers. It can either be picked up here on Cape Cod(zip code 02653) or i can recommend a couple of freight shippers. Vintage Mid Century Modern Eames Era Adrian Pearsall Sofa Couch FULLY RESTORED
This auction is for a beautiful Danish Modern Adrian Pearsall Mid Century Modern Eames Era couch I have had FULLY RESTORED– designer fabric. New heavy industrial foam and body padding, new webbing, new decking, new foam cushions, two new pillar foam end pillar bolt cushion pillows, new chrome cushion clips and I had the strings re-tightened. It is a breathtaking piece of furniture. The original under frame is still in place. I purchased it several months ago, had it fully restored, received it last month and now found out I am being transferred. The furnishings I am taking with me have to be limited and this is one of the pieces I have to sadly let go. It is gorgeous. There are no labels on it. It is IMMACULATE and has been freshly reupholstered with the most gorgeous celery green woven fabric with a designer‘circle and dot’ accent fabric ... morethat is second to none spectacular. I call it my“ Marlo Thomas/That Girl” look! Words cannot describe the colors of the accent fabric. The velvety‘circles’ are a jeweled turquoise color with a matching green celery“dot” inside(that matches the overall celery green woven fabric to a“T” the woven background inside the circle is a bit darker beige color than the lighter beige woven background. This fabric is carried over into the two pillar bolt cushions. The company that restored this couch is renowned in the area and did an EXPERT job. I am EXTREMELY picky and they truly surpassed even my expectations! It is a truly daring design. I wanted something‘light’ yet‘bold’ and I feel my goal was accomplished. Vintage 40s 50s Mid Century Modern Sofa Couch Art Deco Hollywood Regency 2 Pc
Terrific vintage 2 piece rounded mid century modern sofa is a one-of-a-kind! It is in good vintage condition with a few minor imperfections. There are a couple of stains as shown in the photos. One of the back corners shows wear to the fabric. And an overall cleaning would freshen the piece up again. Structurally still very sound and secure. The frame is strong and sturdy. The cushion foam is still firm and even with no lumps or worn down areas. Each individual piece of the sectional measures 5 feet long each for a total of 10 feet total length. It is 31" deep and 32" tall. We are offering free local pick up. But will consider shipping via freight if you arrange all the shipping and we can drop the sofa off somewhere off in our town. This listing is for a 1960's Henredon sofa designed by Dorothy Draper. Unless you have an old monitor the best description of the colour is the pictures. yellow green. Butter yellow, yellow gold, there are a lot of others that would fit as well. the Design is pure Draper merged with one of the Souths largest mid century furniture companies, Henredon. My parents had a mountain home near the North Carolina plant. Although the couch was not part of the decor we had bedroom furniture that was Henredon. The colour is best described by the pictures. Some call it Yellow gold, butter yellow, and several other names would probably fit. The size depends on how you measure it. If you follow the curves it's almost 9' long. And about 28" tall. 1920's Antique/Vintage Karpen Brown Sofa/Couch and Chair Living Room Set, Velmo
Late 1920's Karpen Brothers sofa/couch and chair. Made of Velmo(velour& mohair) I'm pretty sure this came from the Chicago factory. The set has a resemblence to the Charles II style Karpen had sold. I believe the wood carving is mahogany wood. The cushions are tapestry on one side and can be reversed to solid brown velmo on the other. Selling as-is- it has been well used. The entire set is need of reupholstering and I am in no way inferring that it is otherwise. The backs. Arms, and feet are still solid. The carving at the top of the chair is cracked but it is all there and can be glued. This set was in my grandmothers house since I was very young. I am now 49. That is all I know about the age. We were never allowed to even sit on it back then. So the 3 years at my home, in a room we rarely use are all the wear there is. Minor surface scratches on the wood, and light wear on the fabric. When I got the set, the foam in the cushions was dry rooted. I had the covers dry cleaned and the foam replaced by a professional. The couch spring area in the center, seemed to droop, so it was repaired. Still has all original springs, ... moreetc. everything was held in by nails and some had started to back out. So repair consisted of putting everything back in place. The staples putting the fabric cover back over the bottom are partially new. None of this can be seen unless you look underneath. Vintage 1960's SOFA SET Up for bid or Buy it Now is a 1960's Sofa set. The sofa's can be placed together to make one 12 foot long sofa. Or they can be divided. This set was purchased new by my mother-in-law's family in the early 1960's. They had it recovered once about 20 years ago, but my mother-in-law always kept another cover over them so the fabric is in perfect condition. Mid-Century Retro Vintage Antique 1950s Green Sofa Couch & Chair Recovered 1960s
This auction is for a 1950's Vintage Mid-Century Retro Floral Green Couch and Chair that has been recovered in the 1960's. The color just pops off of the couch and chair. There are springs in the cushions. As well as, int he couch for better bounce. It has been been steamed cleaned by a professional the chair and the couch both just a few weeks ago. The couch underneath has a small rip in the black see through fabric. Please see pictures. One of the four metal bars has come loose and the black see through fabric will have to be pulled away in that area to tighten the bar back in place. They made things well years ago. There is a small worn area on the corner of one of the cushions on the couch but hard to see. When you remove the couch cushions you will see a stained area. Oxi clean can probably get that out. It features two arm rests that drop down to extend the sofa into a very large chaise that is great for napping! Tightly buttoned arm rests give the English leather sofa a classic feel while the shaped bottom and bun feet provide a unique flair. Hidden inside each of the four bun feet are small casters. While in the upright position they stay in place by virtue of friction with the back rest. The height at which they lower down can be adjusted with the support ropes on either side.
