The base takes the form of an old style water pump with handle and trough. We believe this was made as a wood shop project in middle or high school. The base is white with hand painted decorations on the trough of yellow ducklings. grass& flowers. The handle is attached to the bulb switch and is used to turn the light on and off. The base is about 8" tall. 4" wide and 7 1/2" long. The shade is light beige with gold pattern around the bottom. It is about 8" across the base. 5" across the top, and 6" tall. The cherry red roses are line with a touch of white to make the roses stand out from the lamp. This lamp is embossed in gold in certain places. There are green, brown and purple leaves at the top of this porcelain lamp. This is a very heavy lamp. There is a handle on both sides of the lamp for secure handling. The lamp shade is white and it is not in good shape it is torn around the edge and some splits at the seam. Vintage Worrall Hand-Painted Roses Lamp Set
The porcelain lamps are in very good condition and present themselves as a pair. As far as we can see. There are no chips; however we located a couple of dings that are barely noticeable and definitely do not distract from the beauty of the artwork on the lamps. In fact, the dings or pitting appear to have occurred during the process of making the lamps. One lamp has a felt bottom and the other does not. Note that the gold paint on both lamps is faded in some areas as seen in the pictures. The red roses are beautifully painted with the petals and leaves done with the delicate touch of a fine artist. The lamp shades are in very good condition with no tears and appear to be made of silk. There is slight soiling on the inside rim of one of the shades. I tested the lamps and they work. For the collector.This pair of lamps would be an elegant ... moreaddition to his or her decor. Measurements: Both lamps measure 22 inches in height and 18 inches in diameter. A fine example of Bohemian style cut-to-clear lamps. This beautiful pair of lamps features a clear green body. Cased on opaque white, with cut-to-clear accents all around the lamp. Gorgeous antique painted scenic cylinder electric lamp(paint on outside of cylinder for scene-background colors possibly on the inside) The base appears to be a highly decorated metal base with gold paint. The top is also embossed. But doesn't appear to have any gold paint left and the finial may not be the original finial although it works. This porcelain boudoir lamp reminds me of chintz and would look fabulous in a Shabby Chic or French Country room. It was manufactured by A. Beck. NY, probably circa 1920s-1930s, and the company name is stamped on the bottom of the brass footed base. It measures 10-1/8" to the top of the receptacle and is about 3" wide at the middle of the lamp. It is petite so would be best on a nightstand, vanity or desk. It is ivory colored with a hand painted pink. Purple, coral and green floral design with gilded accents. There is very, very slight fading to some of the flowers near the top and some of the gilding on the edging is quite worn which is common on these very old pieces. The brass has developed a heavy patina. The lamp has its original cloth cord which is completely frayed and needs to be replaced. You will most likely want to replace ... morethe receptacle as well. Beautiful Vintage Hand-Painted Tole Ware Tea Canister Lamp. This is a very nice piece of New England Tole Ware. Most likely the scene is from Cape Cod. As we found this piece in an estate 4 miles from Cape Cod. Very nice painting of an ocean. Seascape scene, with a sailing boat, shells, rope, and laurel wreath design. This lamp does work and is in nice condition. There are several small areas of paint loss(small chips. Mostly to top rim and base rim) and there are a few minor stains or marks. please see pictures) I have not tried to clean these marks off. The harp is loose where the finial screws on.
