The lamp is made of brass and other metals. The gorgeous art nouveau finial is solid brass. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a very fancy triple cut crystal pull on the end of the chain. The pretty pierced metal shade ring is decorated with 30 strands of crystal lustres with new brass bow tie pins. The finish on the lamp is gold with coppery accents. Antique Hand Made Embossed Metal 3 Dimensional Victorian Cherub Table lamp
This is a beautiful. One of a kind, antique hand wrought embossed metal three dimensional cherub lamp. Lamp is unique and has very ornate detail. please see photos) I am unable to put an exact date on this lamp. But does have a cloth cord and appears to be quite old. This lamp holds two bulbs, and lamp sockets do rotate so they can be adjusted. Pull chains to turn on lamp appear to work just fine and lamp has been tested and does work properly. Antique Banquet OIL LAMP Converted Cherubs Patent April 30. 1885 USA GWTW 22" Antique Vtg Old Banquet Table Victorian LAMP Light Cherub April 30 1885 GWTW 21 plus inch tall banquet lamp. No globe or chimney. An old oil lamp converted to electric. Electric portion works. Original patent date April 30. 1885. On the metal behind the original wick adjustment knob- see second photograph- possibly 1895) The dial reads"Made in US of America. Cherub pattern. Victorian. This looks like a"Gone with the Wind" lamp. We are not experts. And I can't say for sure that this would be. Technically, a GWTW lamp as the lower portion/globe is metal. Overall the lamp does appear to be in very good shape. There are some very small markings on a couple of the cherubs; these small areas look like patina or oxidation or some kind of external ... morechange. We have closely inspected the lamp. We do not see any cracks or major defects. Naturally. There are some scratches and there is some oxidation on the brass sections of the burner assembly. The lamp is being sold in as is condition. It will be shipped to you in a large box with ridiculous amounts of bubble wrap to protect the lamp. Please review our feedback carefully. Wonderful antique victorian cherub table lamp early 1900s* This sweet antique cherub table lamp stands 16 inches high and is 6 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy ruby bead pull on the chain. The lamp has a beautiful pierced floral shade ring which is decorated with 32 strands of old fire polished bohemian crystal lustres. I put new brass bow tie connector pins on the crystals.
