Art Deco Alabaster Lamp. Gorgeous.
This is such a beautiful lamp-every detail from the great gold painted base to the wonderful browns and greens in the alabaster. The shapes on the stem, the double sockets-all original-and the wonderful original finial on top. It will have to be rewired though it certainly works as is with the assistance of some electrical tape wound around the cord in a few spots. Very heavy and very elegant. No shade included-I figure that's a personal decision. 27 1/2" tall x 6" wide at the base.

Stands 64.5" tall. The base is about 12" wide. The lamp is very heavy and weighs approximately 20 pounds. Bronze tone cast metal(not cast iron) base and stem with light tones alabaster accents on the base and stem. The glass torchiere shade is 16" wide and made of very thick glass. It is an off-white or beige tone color with a floral/rose embossed pattern. It is in excellent shape. with no chips or cracks. Italy Original art deco period circa 1920- No reproduction Beautiful white alabaster bowl feauturing a carved flower in the center and a finely carved edge. Extraordinary veining and coloration. Very good condition, some signs of ages there is a minor defect. A crack visible from the photos, it is not deep and barely visible when it is installed. The electric is original but must be inspected by a qualified electrician before use. Vintage Art Deco Alabaster Clamshell Lamp
Large translucent alabaster clam shell lamp. Hard to tell if this was made from a single piece of stone or if the shell and base are two pieces with a seamless attachment. Most likely) The lamp works and the cord. Plug and switch are in good condition. No chips. Cracks or repairs. There are normal fissures and shading that you will find in any natural stone; in a piece of translucent alabaster this large it is almost expected. Uses a C7 bulb. Bulb will be included and replacements are readily available. Approximately 11 1/2" by 11 1/2" The base is 7 1/4" x 4 1/4" Photos include different color bulbs. Handmade in Italy. Very nice piece. M.VASSEUR. A wonderful 1925 french art deco lamp wrought iron holding a large marble shade. Very art deco in its design. The lamp was made by M. Vasseur a blacksmith from Paris who had like Edgar Brandt and Raymond Subes a large manufactory producing both pieces on command as for his own shop. The lamp is 37cm high(14-1/2" The shade is 20cm high and has a diameter of 17.3 cm(6-13/16" The lamp is in very good condition. The marble or alabaster was very dirty on the outside and had numerous scratches. I have cleaned it and polished it a little. It looks great now. With its delicate motlled colour it gives a very pleasant light. The lamp is rewired and has a new european E14 socket. It has carved flowers/ roses and in the shape of an urn. It's in very nice condition but could use a better cleaning. I don't know much about them and didn't want to hurt the marble so just wiped it off. Purchased from a very nice estate sale and passing it on to you. Vintage - Antique Art Deco Carved 'Alabaster / Marble' Mantle Lamp. pre - 1940
Vintage- Antique Art Deco Carved'Alabaster/ Marble' Mantle Lamp circa 1920's- 1940's This item is from an estate and has been in storage for many years. This vintage i tem is in very good condition for its age. The lamp was tested to work as seen in the photos. The'alabaster/ marble' sculpture is clean and crack free. The base is in good condition it is however missing one of the 4 original matching feet. To make the item'even' I removed the third'odd' foot and replaced it with two I had(please see photos 11 and 12) They unfortunately are not as tall nor ornate as the originals hence the the'lean' in some of the pictures. I have packed the odd third foot as well as a set of matching new feet to ship with this lamp. Though the new feet are not as ornate. They are there to use as an option if ... moredesired. The lamp does has a'chip' it is located on the back- right hand back side. right hand side as you view from the front) may be viewed in photos# 7 and# 8 its about 3/4 distance from the base. I try my best to capture all the features and flaws of this antique lamp. Please be sure to use all the photos attached to evaluate this piece. I don't see any other noteworthy issues but I leave the final opinion with you. As such this item is sold'as is' The lamp does work fine and comes with an extra bulb as well as the hardware described above. Even with its set backs it's still a very interesting antique early to mid century item. A nice addition for a room or your collection.
