Early 20th Century Torchiere Table Lamp
This is a very fine example of the aesthetics. And craftsmanship, of the period. The base is solid brass, as well as the plinth below the column. The column itself is steel. The topmost part, where the switch is housed, is again solid brass. It obviously needs rewiring. And will need a shade. If it was up to me.I'd not touch the finish, it's a survivor from a bygone era. I feel the beauty still stands out. It's a heavy piece. Weighing in at over 3lbs. This was a time before the consumer was expected to settle for inferior goods. You got what you paid for. In all likelihood this lamp would have graced an upper middle class home at the time. The base is just shy of 8" in diameter. And it stands about 21" tall without a shade. Magnificent antique victorian table lamp early 20th c. This is an absolutely beautiful antique victorian table lamp which stands 18 inches high and 8 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a hubbell brass socket shell with a pull chain socket. The chain has a pretty glass pull on the end. The pierced brass shade ring is gorgeous. It's decorated with 30 strands of crystal lustres. The lustres have new brass bow tie pins added. The lamp has a golden bronze finish. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Antique Cherub Table Lamp Early 20th Century
You are bidding on a Antique Cherub table lamp I believe dates back to the early 20th Century. I am selling this old lamp as is. It does need some restoration or just enjoy it the way it is. It has great character and is quiet heavy. Here is what I noticed, cord is very old and needs to be replaced, has a hole unknown to me why in the back of the cherubs head(possibly from the mold? I have had one other and seen two more from about the same time period that had the same hole) Surface has some pitting, It does need a little work but displays very nicely,great ornate base. Beautiful carved alabaster lamp of nude in waterfall. The lamp is unsigned but Marked"Made in Italy" The lamp measures 16 1/2 inches(42cm) H X 7 1/4 inches(18cm) W. This item has been newly rewired for saftey concerns. I have the Age of this item listed as 1900- 1940 but I am not quite sure of the Age. My experience tells me it could be anywhwere from the 1920's to 1950's. A lovely object that displays beautifully. A warm glowing light that becomes the focal point of a room. This lamp is heavy as it is made of carved stone. It weighs over 25 LBS. Overall the lamp is in very good to excellent condition but there is a line(Vein) in the stone which is pictured. Base has indentations for pens, paperclips, etc. Lamp has an antique, bronze colored finish, and a rolled rim parabola shaped reflector shade. Lamp is 14.5" to top of gooseneck. Shade is 6.75" diameter. 4" high. Base is 6.75" long, 5" wide. Lamp has been sanded and re-painted. It has been re-wired with new cloth wrapped wire and plug. Original fat boy socket with switch was reused. Base has number 131 stamped on one side and 3 on the other. I don't know the manufacture. This is an old lamp and there is some slight wear.

We are offering this beautiful early 20th century Grecian Urn style base for a table lamp made by Pairpoint. The base of the lamp is marked: Pairpoint. company symbol) D3084, Made in U.S.A. Some research was done which verified that the markings are correct. There is an oval paper sticker on the bottom which says: Lacouered Clean Only with damp cloth. There are two shade holders. The bottom of the Grecian urn has soldering liquid left on the lamp. It is 10.5" tall from the bottom to the top of the light bulb holder. Machine Age/Industrial Brass& Nickel Task Lamp with Opal Glass Shade Antique desk lamp circa 1915. The socket is Circle F manufactured in Trenton. NJ. The UNO shade holder has a patent date of 1912. The lamp is primarily polished brass with a polished nickel spacer near the base and a polished nickel screw to adjust the height of the lamp. The period shade is white opal glass with a nice orange fire when lit. The braided cloth cord is gold in color and the vintage plug is marked with the letters“CM” The cast iron lamp weight base is marked“146W” The lamp shows wear consistent with its age. The base has several dents as seen in photo 4 which do not affect the stability of the lamp. The socket has a nice snap. The lamp easily adjusts up and down. The shade has minor wear to the fitter.
