My research on this leads me to believe this is a foreign lamp and most likely from France. I believe it to date to the 1860's- 1870's. The brass has a lot of patina and the burner appears to be original. There is no chimney with this auction but you can buy them online for $10- $20. The wheel does spin freely. There is no wick with the lamp. The lamp appears it may have been replastered. Item is 19" tall to top of the burner and the base is 4 1/4" wide. Bid now to add this lamp to your collection. If. I offer in this auction I am selling one Corinthian column style table lamp I believe this metal is called bronze or perhaps antique brass it is very heavy weighing 10 pounds much more stunning in person! what a quality lamp but I do not know the maker since I can not find any markings 3 way lighting measures apx 25 1/2" to the socket base is 6 1/2" square If you look closely at last photo you will notice there is a faint surface scuff mark on the black I am thankful to be a seller here on Ebay trying to pass on beautiful items to someone who collects them this is a fun side job for me but I am not a store I am one person. Antique Victorian brass Corinthian oil lamp 78cms tall with Vaseline shade
A super Victorian brass Corinthian column oil lamp with Vaseline shade. Heavy brass base with simple double burner with wick and working winders(one a bit stiff) It measures 56cms to the burner and 78cms to the chimney top. The base is 13.5cms square. The oil lamp without the glass(base + burner) weighs 2.8kgs The base is much more heavyweight than the burner. Probably a later match, a fairly standard double burner without makers name. The shade is 18cms high by 21.5cms wide at the top with 10cms/ 4" fitter. Shade weighs 900g The shade has nibble on the fitter but the rim is perfect. This really is a great looking lamp! A unique accent piece for your decor! It is 31" to top of finial. And 7" x 7" at base. There are a few very small chips on the side of the base, barely visible. It may look like there is a chip on the front edge of the base. However, this is just a white vein in the marble. PLEASE VIEW ALL PICTURES AS THEY ARE PART OF MY DESCRIPTION.
