The sticks have removal bobeches ... moreand the bases are weighted. Both are monogrammed on the stepped foot with"GTCC" Both are clearly marked with the Gorham plate hallmark on the bases. One has a fish date mark for 1912 and the other has a spoon date mark for 1920. Perhaps they were bought together in 1920 although one was dated earlier. The monograms are exactly the same. So I am confident that they started out life together. The sticks measure just shy of 6.5" and the bases are 3.5" square. Excellent condition.

An original spelter and brass Victorian Corinthian column oil lamp base. This base has a very elegant cast spelter base and corinthian capital. With a brass column. The rose piece is a standard No 10 size having a medium screw thread of 20 t.p.i. and an internal diameter of 23mm. Width of base is just under 7 inches. Height is 12 1/2 inches. Weight is 2090 grams. Has been lightly cleaned and polished. Ready for use.

ORIGINAL MASSIVE CORINTHIAN COLUMN BASE for an OIL LAMP.
An original massively built Victorian Corinthian column oil lamp base. This had been previously drilled for electric. A very small hole had been drilled in the top section of the stepped base. We have disguised this by adding 4 small decorative brass spheres and the whole base has been cleaned and lightly polished. The original center rod has been retained complete with it's butterfly nut. The base is unusual in that instead of the normal cast iron loading the entire bottom stepped base is one massive casting. The reeded tube is 1 3/4 inch diameter. Overall height is 14 1/2 inches. Base is 6 inches square. The rose piece is a standard No 10 size having a medium screw thread of 20 t.p.i. and an internal diameter of 23mm. Width of base is 6 inches. Height is 12 1/2 inches. Weight is 6350 grams.

Gilt bronze Corinthian column candlestick hand chased
Beautiful antique ormolu gilt bronze Corinthian column candlestick converted to electric lamp. There is a mark in the lower corner of a crown over a G. The gold finish is worn in spots. The top is intricately hand chased. The bottom is 3 sided and shows a mans face with a wreath around it. I have tried to research the crown over G mark but cannot definitively identify it. The lamp has an older double bulb pull chain socket that works well. The lamp has new wiring.Please ask any questions you have.

This lamp is constructed in the shape of a Corinthian column on a great pedestal with a laurel wreath. Made of silver plated brass, topped by a glass vessel and the lamp parts. The finial is a fantastic eagle shape. This is a heavey 12 pound lamp. We have dissassembled this lamp and found a stamp for Hinks. We would date this to about 1870-1890s. This piece is in great shape. There are no chips to the glass. And only a little wear through the edges of the silver plate. The beautiful oil font is a good match with its floral swag hand painted decoration, some gold leaf is now worn away with over 100 years of use.
