This auction is for a superb quality. Hand blown, heavy cut glass/crystal oil lamp font that comes with a brass oil lamp burner 1.5"3.8cm screw collar. This has not been fitted. Victorian in date. The font weighs 600g unpacked. It measures 5.5"14cm diameter across the top and stands just under 4.5"11cm tall. It can either be free standing or sit in a 5.25"13.3cm drop in ring. Condition is excellent. It appears not to have been used much if at all. The foot shows very light signs of wear(see pic) and there are no chips or cracks. I have pictured two marks in the glass from when the font was originally blown. These are not chips or cracks. 13 inch high figural stem oil Lamp. This lamp has a 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch X 1 inch high metal base. The figure is the bust of a beautiful woman. Antique Victorian Cut Glass Oil Lamp with shade font burner base circa 1890
Cut Glass Oil Lamp Font A very High quality oil lamp indeed. A reeded stepped copper. Brass and china base houses a particularly good triple cut faceted glass font in perfect condition. The font is fitted with a classic hinks/messengers bayonet fitting collar which houses a very good hinks no2 Duplex rise and fall burner. The lamp is finished with an original victorian acid etched reeded globular shade. The overall height of the oil lamp including the chimney is 65cm 25 1/2 inches tall. The shade is just over 18cm tall and 20cm 8 inches wide. The diameter of the font is 17cm just shy of 7 inches. Postage UK £10. Europe £30, USA and Canada £45. Condition: The lamp is pretty much in a perfect condition. The only fault is to the oil lamp shade. With minor fritting to the top and bottom. Please see the photos, they speak volumes.

GOOD QUALITY GLASS OIL LAMP FONT & HINKS BURNER
Description On offer here is an antique Victorian cut glass oil lamp font with brass Hinks burner.The font is very elegant and very well cut. The burner has a clever mechanism that was out of position when I photographed it but since then I have managed to work it out and it has a rise up and down motion. The brass burner has originally been silver plated but a percentage of the plate has now worn off. The glass font is 6.5 inches wide, the actual screw thread for the lamp base measures approx. 20- 22 mm's. It is in very good condition. There are no cracks or chips to the glass. Thanks for looking. It consists on a brass pillar base(not Corinthian as there are no scrolls or decoration to top) marked to the base"J Hinks& Son" and"1781" The base is made with a thick gauge brass as can be seen in the pictures below. The best English cut glass font(hinks ref 192) is made with thick walls measuring nearly 1cm in thickness. The Hinks number 2 burner has a wheeled gallery raiser to allow easy lighting. I think the main body is cast. not magnetic) is without damage, and on the inside of the base raised is 1831. The glass font is good with no damage. The burner has Hinks and sons on the side and there is 1 chimney finger missing. Both wicks will rise and fall, and one of the ceramic inserts has the writing worn. Victorian Oil Kerosene Lamp Blue Cased Cut Glass Font Fenton Coin Dot Ball Shade
Victorian Duplex Burner Kerosene Oil Lamp C. 1880-90 ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP. NOT A REPRODUCTION. The font is mold blown cased glass. Clear over blue. The clear surface is delicately wheel cut in a lace like pattern. The third photo shows the truest color) The font is mounted with a brass collar and tapered support that are cemented on. The lamp's base is brass with a iron under plate. The duplex burner's knobs are embossed with a globe emblem. The Fenton blown opaline coin dot glass shade is old, whether it is original to the base is unknowable but they have been together for some time. I have worked on antique lamps for over thirty years. I have not seen a similar font before. CONDITION: Surprisingly good. The font has not been drilled and has no problems. The shade, no cracks, it has chips on the inner surface of its fitter opening, these may have occurred when the shade was made and the fitter lip was ground, and again, chips on the inner edge of its top opening, these are from use. Such chips are typical on old shades. Dimensions: 24 1/2" tall with the chimney in place. The lamp. To the font collar, 11 1/4" tall. Font, 6" maximum diameter. Foot, 7" diameter. This is a good heavy quality Victorian faceted and cut glass/crystal oil lamp font. It measures 6.25"15.8cm in diameter across the top and the glass is 3"7.7cm deep. The font is fitted with a brass undermount with a 21mm screw thread. It also has a bayonet fit oil lamp burner collar that has traces of silver plating to the top surface. No cracks to the glass. The glass font holder was made from a three piece mold and is marked on the bottom rim PAT. NO. 96991 which I found was from 1869. The top rim is ground. The fluer-di-lis pattern brass font and burner is marked on the wick nob B.B.CO. NEW YORK for the Bristol Brass Co. New York. The burner doesn't have a wick and does have cracks. The burner measures apprx. 6 1/4" high. The font holder measures apprx. 8" high 4" across the top opening 4 5/8" across the foot. Elegant blue glass oil lamp base and font. See description for condition.
Description This is a beautiful oil lamp in milk glass overlaid with a duck egg blue glass or paint and with painted and gilt decoration on both the front and rear of the lamp. There are brass/ormolu handles connected to a ring which supports the brass font support inside the lamp(please see condition notes for the age cracking this has suffered- although very striking when studied. The age cracking is not visible when the lamp is complete nor does it affect the working of the lamp. There is a brass/ormolu foot to the lamp, held on using a central threaded rod and a metal plate. The glass font which makes up the top of the lamp above the ormolu/handle ring has a crack on the top shoulder. Obvious but can be turned to the back of the lamp to hide it for display. The decoration on the front is of a French rococco design. Of two children(one ... moreboy and one girl) dressed in the style of Versailles and King Louis of France, in a rose garden. On the back is an attractive rococco design in white and gold. The blue finish has streaks and marks that are from when it was applied, not noticeable unless looking closely and obviously from the manufacturing process. There is one chip to the gilt ring below the panel with the two children, this is shallow but has gone through the gilt and the blue finish to show the white underneath but is very small(approx 3mm diameter) There is no burner with the lamp and the collar had come off so the font has been cleaned ready for a new collar. The original collar was for a duplex burner and was presumably older as it was a push fit variety rather than a bayonet or screw in fitting. Height of the lamp is 13.5 inches and the width of the handles is 7.5inches. Overall this is a very beautiful lamp and a nice example of it's type. Unusual to still have the correct font for it! I am selling as I need to reduce my collection! Condition This oil lamp is a beautiful piece but has some damage to be noted. 9Beautiful antique Victorian Bradley and Hubbard parlor banquet lamp. This lamp has the most beautiful large hand painted lamp shade that has flowers painted on the front and back. The shade is 11 inches in height and 12 inches in diameter. The shade has a yellow and slightly orange background. I will mention that the base of the shade has the usual roughness and a very small chip where it has been moved in and out of the holder for many years. The font of the lamp has a male cherub in battle with his spear fighting a winged demon. The column of the lamp has flowers flowing around it. The base of the lamp has a green onyx or marble section with a 4 footed paw base. The lamp is 36 inches in height to the top of the chimney. Beautiful 19th C. oil lamp, pink milk glass font, marble column base no vaseline
19th C. oil lamp. The brass-mounted turned marble column base supporting a glass font with vertical stripes of milk glass, graduating from white at the base to pink at the top. The stripes have a vey"vaseliney" look to them, but I have tested this with a black-light and it does not fluoresce like true vaseline glass. Total height to the top of the burner is 14 1/2" 37cm) the diametre of the font is 4 3/4" 11.5cm) and the brass burner is just over 2" 5cm) across at the widest point, to take a 2" fitter shade. The brass parts are lightly tarnished(easily buffed up if so desired) and there is a small split on one side of the brass collar at the top of the marble column(photo No.8) otherwise in very good condition, with everything working as it should. Early Mid-Century LAMP c.1930 Soft Yellow ~ GLASS FONT ~ Lots of Golden Style!
Here's a 30's vintage Table Lamp with a swirl pattern glass FONT to remind one of oil lamps. The porcelain part features soft yellow and ivory colors with gold leafy flower cartouches and raised White Moriage Dots. Lots of gold gilding on this lamp. The base is a 2-part brass base. With four feet and a floral embossed pattern to the top piece. The harp and the brass finial are included, shade is not unless postage is recalculated. This is probably 1930's American. Great patina to the many brass pieces and very good antique condition, with no damage found. P lease study my pictures as they form an important part of the description. This measures about 30" tall overall. And the base is 6" wide, and the glass font is about 7" wide. It weighs about 6 pounds 8 oz. without packaging. I tend to overestimate shipping box ... moresize& weight. But I reimburse any excessive payments.
