OUTSTANDING ANTIQUE MINT LEADED GLASS " FLAME" SHADE/HANDEL
This is a stunning lamp shade; I wonder if it was from a hanging light fixture; or one of those keen examples that are at the base of a staircase; I often wonder if these things could talk; the stories they could tell. The glass itself is curved and leaded; the color is delicious and the lampshade is MINT; no cracks. No breaks, I am going to download a few more pictures that I took showing light coming through the glass itself. It measures not quite 8 1/2" tall with a fitter measurement of just under 3 1/4" upon closer inspection at the metal rim I find a mark, hand-written: Handel 127118 G. I will include a picture of that as well in my update. I will more than likely double-box this; lastly; this is INVESTMENT GRADE and exceptional. You will love this lampshade. Good luck.

Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp Miller Bradley & Hubbard Pittsburgh, Handel, Empire
This is a beautiful nice sized bent slag glass lamp. The shade is a combination variegated deep carmel bent slag glass with a beautiful look to it. The filigree work is just wonderful and sets off the colors in the shade. The lamp is a combination of brass. Copper, bronze and pot metal with a great golden patinated finish near 100% The lamp stands 20 inches tall. The shade is 16 inches wide and about 6 1/2 inches tall. There are 2 vintage sockets working off of one pull chain. One pull turns on one light, second turns on the second light, third pull goes back to one light and fourth pull turns it all off, it all works well. The lamp has been rewired with correct wiring and works and looks just great. This beautiful lamp is unmarked except for a#1 on the base. For sale is a classic Unique Company leaded glass lamp. This exact lamp base with the Saturn socket cluster(photos 3-4) and patina is shown in Paul Crists's book"Mosaic Shades II" at p. 47. As you can see in photos 3-7. This base exhibits Unique's varigated green-brown patina. According to Paul Crist, in"Mosaic Shades II" at p. 48, The most attractive examples[of this base] are in a varigrated green-brown patina over copper plate which is virtually identical to Tiffany's famous finish- an achievement that speaks to the experience and professionalism of Unique's manufactory. Photos 3 and 7 are the best representation of the actual color of this lamp base. This Unique lamp base stands 23 inches tall. The bottom of the base is 8 inches in diameter and has Unique's classic counterweight. The base has three ... moresockets with matching 8.5 inch long acorn pulls. Two of the sockets are the early Hubbell sockets with the raised letters"HUBBELL" on the socket shell. These sockets have their original porcelain inserts(photo 6) and mica insulators. At some time in the distant past. The third socket was replaced and the socket shell patinated green and black. I cannot tell the manufacturer of the socket shell as there is a lot of coating on the outside. However. I did replace the interior of that socket with a next generation Hubbell porcelain. All three sockets click crisply and function properly. The lamp has been completely rewired. You can have the old wiring if you want it. The electrical cord has been replaced with a black rayon(cloth) covered cord that is period appropriate. The lamp retains its original black Bakelite plug. see photo 11) The shade is 17 inches in diameter and 9 inches deep. It is unsigned but has has Unique's periwinkle pattern. Harp style slag glass desk lamp---similar to Handel and Bradley& Hubbard (B&H)
Nice harp style desk lamp with six panel slag glass shade. The lamp is 13 1/2" tall and 9" wide. The slag glass shade is 7 1/2" wide and 4" tall with a 2 1/4" fitter. The harp and socket are brass and the base appears to be spelter. It's been rewired at some point and works well.The socket is the original weber with a patent dated UNO fitter. Unfortunately the date on the fitter is worn and hard to read. The six panel slag glass shade is in good shape with no cracks or losses. Please veiw all the pictures. A very nice antique. Circa 1920's, bronze base boudoir lamp with antique leaded slag glass shade. The lamp base is probably made by Handel, although the shape of the base, and the shade cap, are not pictured in either of the two major reference books on Handel. The shade is probably not by Handel. As presented the lamp measures 15" tall by 5" bottom diameter. The shade measures 4" tall by 5" diameter, the top opening 2-1/4" diameter. It is in working order with original socket, new cord, old plug. Excellent condition: bronze base without dents, original even patina without verdigris. The shade is without damage, secure leadings.

This is an antique Stained/Slag Glass lamp of unknown make. It could be Tiffany. Handel, Bradley& Hubbard, ect. The bottom of the lamp has two numbers, one is"8" and the other is"577" It has a patent date on the light sockets for July 6 1909, which is for the adjustable lamp sockets. This lamp is missing one of the pull chords for one of the lights and the cord has been replaced. It stands 26" tall and the base is 6.5" in diameter. The shade is 14" square.

ANTIQUE HANDEL LILY PAD DESK LAMP; RARE YELLOW GREEN SLAG GLASS; DUFFNER ERA
For sale is a beautiful documented Handel lily lamp as shown in pictures 1-12. This lamp is relatively rare in that its glass color is not Handel's standard dark green. Rather. It is a lighter striated yellow green. Also the base metal and the metal holding the petals has a lighter golden brown patina that is more in keeping with the muted colors of the glass. The true patina color is shown in natural sun light in photo 3. The true color of the glass is shown in natural light in photos 2& 3. Although the base and shade are unsigned. This lighter colored variation of Handel's lily lamp is pictured(documented) in"The Handel Lamp Book" by Hibel. Hibel& Fontaine at page 30 at the top right. It is also documented at the site leadedlamps.com under Handel lamps. The lily pad base of these lamps were made of cast iron and ... morethus much more difficult to emboss with the Handel mark than the softer pot metal table lamps. Hence, most of these lily pad bottoms had weak lettering(a couple of letters) to no impressions at all. The lamp has been rewired with a period appropriate brown cloth cord that has been spliced at the bottom. See photos 9& 10. The lamp has its original bakelight plug. photo 8) The socket has a GE paddle. Photo 12. The socket works perfectly. The socket shell is spot welded closed at two spots. You can see one of them in photo 2. The shade is 4 inches long from back to front tip(i.e. The front to back diameter) The shade's side to side diameter is 4 1/2 inches wide. The shades front opening is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. It takes one of the narrow pointed bulbs. Unfortunately. The lamp has one panel of glass missing. Fortunately, it is in the least conspicuous spot. The underside. The framing for the petal is still intact. The missing piece can only be noticed by viewing the lamp from the back side(photo 11) or from the underside(photo 12) Because of Handel's overlapping petal pattern, the loss is barely noticable. Antique Handel Era Mission Arts Crafts 8 Side Slag Glass Gothic Superb Desk Lamp
Here's an extremely ornate and beautiful circa early 1920s octagonal gothic style desk lamp. There are 8 wonderful early slag pieces on the top and bottom of the lamp. Encapsulating the light. This is absolutely stunning and is all original as I purchased the lamp 30+ years ago. One of the nicest and most unusual lamps ive ever seen. The original lamp hardware was made by Weber Patents 250 w universal. The lamp is unmarked or perhaps I'm completely missing the makes mark. Heavy lamp weighing 13.4 lbs. The fire slag has beautiful reds, oranges and amber color and is absolutely stunning in the natural light. The solid base is wondrous and has some extremely ornate detail, covered in fleur de lis style designs. Lamp measures roughly 25" tall from bottom of base to top of ornate finial. The shade itself measures roughly 12.5" ... morewide by roughly 12" high and the base of lamp is roughly 6.75" wide. There's one small break/chip in the slag on top of the lamp as seen in the top shade flipped upside down image. The lamp disassembled quite easily as seen in the last picture. No reserve past opening bid for this gorgeous high quality guaranteed antique(circa 1915) leaded glass table lamp. Numbered"9" under base but otherwise mark appears illegible, see photo. Lamp has 16" diameter shade and stands 22" high, looks nice on or off, see pictures. Beautiful leaded art glass shade features graduating size light caramel colored segments over a band of darker caramel rectangles, with an apron consisting of 2 rows of colorful turquoise and blended color segments separated by light caramel segments and connected by alternating jewel-like green and red tapered oval pieces. Glass is all original. No replaced pieces. The leading has a gold tone finish, some minor wear. Metal base has color, shape and design that compliments the shade nicely. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Slag Glass lamp Miller Pittsburgh Handel Emeralite
This is a beautiful Bradley& Hubbard Slag Glass Lamp in great condition. The lamp stands 22 1/2 inches tall with a 7 1/2 inch base. The shade is 17 or 18 inches in diameter. Depending on where you measure it, and is 8 1/2 inches tall. The shade is marked in two places"Bradley& Hubbard Mfg. Co. and the only markings on the base are inside the novel area that holds the lamp sockets. It is marked"Pat. Dec. 7, 1920" I find no other markings on the base. The sculpted base and shade have well defined laurel leaves, flowers and ribbon garlands. The finish is a beautiful variegated antique gold and is about all there. The lamp has been correctly rewired and works perfect. The shade is complete with no cracks. There are a couple small missing pieces of filigree on the bottom of the shade that do not detract from the lamp. See ... morethe 2 pictures of the B& H markings on the shade. Note that one has 2 Mickey Mouse ears below it at the edge and the other only has one.

Antique 8 Panel Slag Glass Lamp Shade Frame Unsigned B&H Handel Miller Era
Up for sale is this beautiful antique 8 panel lamp shade. It is about 20 3/4" diameter at its widest and about 9" tall to the finial top. This is circa 1910-1925ish. It will need to be cleaned up a bit. The very bottom has iron trim that has some rust, but that was the only spot that attracted a magnet. I believe this was originally a hanging shade. I could not find any makers marks on the shade, I know that sometimes these were marked on the actual hanging hardware, but this is a quality crafted piece.

This is a beautiful antique lamp. It has a domed slag glass 6 panel shade with a painted green spade or leaf decoration. The shade is signed Handle and patent number 979664. The base is solid and very heavy with a bronze finish or patina The ball finial may not be original because it does not screw flat against the heat cap that holds the shade The slag glass is in good condition with no damage There is a break in the copper foil where one panel attaches to the center bar and needs to be soldered. Also a break in the fine filligree at the end of the spade because of the break. I show a close up in my last photograph. The lamp measures about 24.5" high. This beautiful lamp was found at an upstate NY Estate. The glass is white with caramel color streaks. Gorgeous ornate detail to both the base and shade. The metal on the shade and base is non-magnetic and gilded with gold leaf. I do not find a Makers Mark on the lamp so I won't venture a guess as to the maker. This is a large lamp with wonderful craftsmanship. As noted in detail below. One glass panel has a crack CONDITION The shade frame is beautiful with just a few spots where the gold finish has worn- non-obvious places like inside edges. The base has only a couple spots of wear on the finish. Two of the spots at the top- pretty much out of sight- and one tiny one ... moreon the side(see pictures) The cord has been replaced(with another antique cloth cord) but the inner wiring looks to be original The sockets are marked"Arrow" and appear to be original to lamp One glass panel has a large crack. The BASE is FULLY& CORRECTLY signed on the bottom along w/ the original felt cloth bottom. It is about 59" tall x 24" across. This is all original except for the cord and this has the original twist switch. The metal is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with a wonderful deep rich all original patina. The 10' dome shaped glass shade is not singed or numbered but we believer it is a Handel shade. It certainly is a vintage shade and from the period. The quality of the painting is excellent and it is very pretty. The base color of the glass shade is off white and the exterior has a satin finish. Offered for your consideration is this antique 6 panel slag glass lamp shade only. As seen in the photos. It has fractures in three of the panels. After taking the photos, I taped the front and back of each of the fractures to secure for shipping. You will have to peal the tape off. The repair job was not done well on the fractures, so a couple sections aren't secure enough not to tape. The diameter of the lamp is approximately 17 3/4" It was from an estate of a 68 year old. Many of the items were his grandparents. I only ship within the USA and DO NOT SELL WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. Good luck bidding! This will be boxed with plenty of padding around. Fabulous Leaded Glass Handel Reverse Painted Solid Bronze Lamp, Tiffany era
Fabulous leaded glass handel solid bronze lamp. The Handel co. is famous for its reverse painted lamps and run into the thousands. In my 40 years collecting and looking through the Handel books. The leaded glass lamps appear to be quite rare. This lamp has incredible colors displaying a bouquet of orange pinkish tuilips, with there stem and leaves. The shade is signed as shown with a quater inch by an inch signature plate. The shade is 7 1/2 inches tall and 17 1/2 inches wide. the design is one of the most beautiful ones they made. It is in excellent condition and has the beautiful original patina. It features three light original sockets with the distinctive acorn at the end of the pull chains. Handel (maybe) Small Slag Glass Deco, Original Bronze Base & Wiring c. 1925
This is an excellent green slag glass leaded boudoir lamp I believe it may have come out of the Handel factory, but I have also seen similar lamps by Lamb Bros. If anyone has more accurate information. Please contact me so I may make corrections. This lamp is circa 1925. The shade measures 15.5" tall with a 9" diameter. The diameter of the base is 5. The lamp has great original patina. This lamp has the original wiring and cord with plug(see photos) The bulb holders. Pull and finial are also original. The lamp is in very good condition. UNIQUE ART GLASS & METAL CO STAINED GLASS TABLE LAMP - HANDEL - WILKINSON - ERA
Offered is a quality Unique Art Glass and Metal Company lamp. We are fortunate enough to own a variety of lamps by different makers- Duffner. Suess, Handel, Wilkinson, Morgan& Sons and Riviere and none of these renowned makers produced anything better than the workmanship of this shade. The background glass is a caramel and white slag creating a sharp contrast to the floral design. The flowers are a variegated deep and light pink. Each flower has either a red or yellow center of granite glass adding a nice glimmer of interest. The leaves are a deep green and have a fluid vining effect in the apron. The overall result of design and use of glass is excellent. There is a half-round wire, approximately 1/8" wide, that is soldered around the bottom edge of the shade that provides extra strength. This is an identifying trademark of Unique. ... moreThe only thing from keeping this shade from being perfect is one hairline crack shown in the last picture. The shade measures 19" at it's widest point and tapers down to 18" at the bottom edge and stands 6 3/4" tall. The base is a fancy variation of the trumpet base(which is a staple of Unique) and has an original aged patina. There are 3 Hubbell sockets with long graceful chains with acorn pulls. The old cord has been replaced with an age appropriate reproduction Rayon covered twisted cord and an old style plug end. This lamp is fabulous whether it is lit or not and has a pure quality that is indicative of the maker. The base has a diameter of 9" and stands 23 3/4" tall. Antique Miller Lamp Stained Glass Shade Bradley & Hubbard Pittsburgh Handel
This is a beautiful signed Miller Co Lamp with a wonderful stained glass shade. The lamp stands 23 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial and sits on a 7 1/2 inch base. The shade is 17 inches in diameter and 6 1/2 inches tall. The base is well marked and probably has something to do with the special socket group. It is marked" CS-100. The Miller Co. Meriden Conn, USA, Patents Pending, Udezine Pat. No. 1438344, and 30107" The lamp has been correctly rewired and works great. The double sockets are a one piece porcelain set with 2 pull chains and work fine. The finial is on a cap for the sockets and the shade sits on that. The Stained Glass Leaded Shade is well made with all glass, gems and cabochons intact and I find no cracks. I do not know if the shade is original to the lamp and it is aged and looks great. This auction is for a BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE LAMP This beautiful lamp comes with an original antique"Consolidated Glass" shade that is so Very Popular. This is an Art Nouveau table lamp with the VERY CLASSY Reverse Painted. Puffy Art. Poly chromed paint. Glass shade in the design of grapes and vines on an arbor. The base of this of antique lamp is Signed"Pairpoint" I'm not good with metal types. I believe it is either bronze or brass. Not sure. It doesn't appear to have ever been altered in any way. The patina seems to be all original and never polished. There's no bend. Dents or dings of any type. This is appropriate and PERFECT for any room in your home. This lamp looks especially classy when placed in front of a window and lighted up in the evenings. Your neighbors will surely be jealous with envy. I certainly ... morehave enjoyed the lamp in my home and receive comments from everyone who sees it. The base is molded into a sinuous strap and floral motif design. The shade ring is adorned with a total of 34 double hung crystal glass prisms that glow like dew drops in the dim light. The lamp measures 22 inches in height. The inside of the base is marked"PAIRPOINT MGR CO 3054" The shade measures 10" in diameter around the base that fits into the shade ring and 13" at its widest point. The shade is marked"40719 Patent MAY 31 1910. THE SHADE IS VIRTUALLY PERFECT. THERE ARE NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. It's all original and as good as the day it was made. As is normal, there are a couple of teeny tiny flea bites out of the edge of the rim of the glass shade where the shade rests on the fitter ring of the base. These are insignificant and barely noticable. The pull chain is an acorn style chain. The cord is very old. Probably 30's or 40's, very highly likely a replacement; Not sure. This auction is for an excellent Stunning original antique Art Nouveau gold lamp with an 8 panel pierced steel caramel slag glass lamp shade with wonderful swirling colors. I can not find a makers mark. So please use the pictures to identify it based on construction and style. The metalwork is very finely detailed and intricate. The glass is in excellent condition as are the metal pieces. The only condition issue on the entire lamp, is that one of the keeper blades on the inside of the shade for the glass is missing(see pic) this could easily be repaired and does not affect the value.
