Antique Boudoir Lamp Czech Reverse Painted Landscape Glass Shade
This is a very nice Antique Boudoir Lamp with a Reverse Painted Landscape Scene on the Glass Shade and Painted Glass Base with Czechoslovakia Stickers. This lamp includes a beautifully hand painted glass shade. Featuring a continuous landscape of trees, farmhouses, lakes and mountains in the distance. It is painted in beautiful tones of a brownish orange, blue, green, brown and white. Appears intended as a winter scene with snow on the roof, ground and trees. The pattern on the shade repeats once but seamlessly. The base is also very fine glass with the same brownish orange background color, and is hand painted on the outside surface with landscape scenes similar to the shade except without houses. The lamp is 12 inches high overall including the shade, the shade is 6-3/4 inch diameter. The lamp is operational with a 15 watt bulb and would ... moremake a beautiful night light. There is one"Czechoslovakia" sticker taped to the bottom of the shade, and another"Czechoslovakia" sticker glued to the base. No company names or signatures are found. Clearly this lamp is from the electric light vintage as there would be no escape for fuel heat or combustion products, or entrance for oxygen. Looks similar to a Ruckl or a Bellova, but an internet search did not turn up any exact matches. Condition: The shade and base are in very good vintage condition having no cracks. Repairs, or repainting. There is one small chip about 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/16 inch deep in the base at the surface hole where the cord exits. Electrically, the socket and cord look original. The cord has been taped at the exit from the base and the fabric is worn from the cord near the tape and near the plug. Consideration should be given to rewiring the lamp from the socket to the plug. Overall. This beautiful lamp is in very good original condition, is in good working order, and displays beautiful natural landscape scenes when lit. This is a rare and beautiful antique American table lamp from the famous firm of Bradley& Hubbard(Meriden. Connecticut 1852-1940) The glass shade has the shape of a modified pine cone and an unusual reverse painted design depicting a blue lattice basket surrounded by gold and green leaves. The body and pedestal are made of hollow bronze. The hand painted design done on each of the 4 panels matches the colors of the lamp. We are pleased to offer this exquisite. Antique lamp. This grand lamp(37" with shade attached) features an ornate, bronzed spelter frame with intricate details. The base of the frame has ornamental urns with bellflower swags. There are geometric circles for contrast. The lamp base houses 4, bent, ribbed glass panels which are reverse painted in a rose or chrysanthemum motif. The base is lighted separately(functions independently) from the top of the lamp and operates with one standard bulb and a pull chain on/off switch. The center section of the lamp features 3 large figural putti. This trio act as the weight bearers for the large glass lamp shade. The opaline glass shade is a light tan color on the exterior and white on the interior. The glass is fairly thick and features a deeply swirled pattern. This is one of two that was in the hallway ceiling of an older large home. Would work on a lamp also. Find no damage has patina from being old and will need soap and water. Pair of Art Deco Reverse Painted Glass Shade Lamps, Native American Theme
For sale is a Pair of Art Deco Reverse Painted Glass Shade Lamps. The lamps are made of spelter(pot metal) and in very good condition. There is a Native American theme going on with a seated Indian Chief in feathered head dress atop each lamp and an Indian Brave profile on each side of the lamp bases. The lamps each measure 15 inches high to the top of the Chief's headdress and the bases measure 6 inches square. The glass shades are unbroken and reverse painted with what appears to be flower baskets and flowers. The paint is cracked probably due to age. The lamps themselves are unmarked. Though the internal for the on/off switch is marked, CARLING. My guess is these lamps date to the 1920's and they both work just fine.

Here is a vintage brass lamp base for a slag glass or reverse painted shade in good working condition. All solid brass. There are some areas of darkening as you can see and a small crack in the cluster body that is shown in photo no.8. Other than that there appear to be no cracks or damage. It is 22 1/2" tall and the base is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" with 9 1/8" being the widest measurement across the bottom. The weight is a little over 5 pounds. Sockets are marked Monowatt. Pittsburgh Table Lamp, Reverse-painted Gold Sun Landscape Shade, dated 1909,1911
I'm pleased to offer this antique Pittsburgh Lamp. Brass, and Glass co. PLBG) reverse painted landscape lamp in near-fine original condition. Great, rare combination of attributes: Style, maker mark, and date. The shade features a nostalgic western mountain image painted in an Arts and Crafts style. Seems to be an autumn scene. With golden sun and rather barren fields between scattered pines and oak. The shade profile is tent-like, with a somewhat vertical panel under a rounded canopy dome. The sockets are dated 1909(Franklin? And one of the pull chain finials is dated 1911. The base has an underside cast embossing that identifies the maker as PLBG(Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass, and Glass Co) model number 1806. Dimensions are as follows: shade diameter: 16-1/2" shade height: 7-1/2" shade mounting hole diameter: 3-3/8" Base height: ... more18-1/2" Total height(to finial) 20" Base diameter: 7-5/8" The pull-chains are 8 and 8-1/2" long. One has a saturn form. And the other is ball-shaped(and has the 1911 patent date) Probably, one of the original switches failed and was replaced with a good switch from the same era. Condition is rare. The paint on the base appears to be original. And the patina on the sockets and pull-chains is deep and even. The silk-wrapped cord is almost certainly a contemporary(and attractive) replacement, but the finely ribbed plug body might be original. See the many pictures below for a thorough depiction of the condition. The shade has some flaking at the edges plus a few very small chips(1/8" or less) The shade top is ground and appears to be undamaged. The paint is entirely solid. With no flaking or crazing. There are some pliers marks on the shade finial. The shade has a few scratches and scuffs. But they disappear when the lamp is turned on. See the pictures below. It works. And the low-watt bulbs will be included. These have been essential to the shade's preservation. Apparently, no previous owner has made the mistake of trying to make the lamp brighter(

Signed MOE BRIDGES Flowers & Butterflies REVERSE PAINTED Shade Boudoir Lamp
I have up for sale a gorgeous vintage/ Antique circa 1920s signed shade& base MOE BRIDGES Reverse Painted Boudoir Lamp. The shade is awesome- having vibrant coloration- with butterflies flying amongst flowers and foliage. There are 3 different butterflies positioned in areas around the shade. The shade is correctly signed on the lower rim. I have this shown in pic#10. There is also a number- looks like HH 1134 but its very difficult to decipher. The base is also correctly signed and is the original base to this lamp. The sale is obviously for both the shade and base. Hope I didn't confuse anyone with the separate pic of the shade in my first pic. Although probably not noticeable in the pics. The shade is textured and the colors are bold.T he lamp is much nicer when seen in person- for some reason I could just not get a good representation ... moreof the color and definition of the shades floral pattern. In my opinion it is one of the nicer boudoir shades that Moe Bridges made- my pics do not do it justice. The shade is in Excellent Condition- it has one small flat flake the is on the inner part of the flat rim. It is absolutely insignificant. Being ridiculously fussy, there is one miniscule- uber insignificant- tiny nick on the bottom rim as well. NO outside rim chips- NO repairs, nor anything even remotely construed as a problem. The lamp has been in my personal collection for the past 10 years and now its time to let someone else enjoy it. The shade will be double boxed and sent in a separate parcel from the base. Here is a bronzed metal HANDEL LAMP BASE in the form of a Japanese baluster vase molded with birds and blossoms in low relief. The foot molded to simulate a Chinese carved and pierced hardwood stand. It is in superb condition. This beauty stands 22.5" high x 7.25" wide at the foot(57.15cm x 18.41cm) This is an authentic, museum quality lamp base for the advanced collector. It has been completely rewired for safety, ready to go for another century of service. All three sockets, heat cap, cluster ball riser, and finial have the original amazing deep chocolate brown patina with green verdigris highlights. The acorn pull chains are replacements. But look great with the lamp. The sockets are original and antique with their original copper interiors. Each socket works perfectly, with strong clicks and easy pulls. I had the lamp rewired ... morewith new rayon covered wire for safety. The plug is an antique Acorn plug, that fits the lamp style very well. The finial is a Antiqued Bronze finial and cap. The shade has some wear of paint on inside conducive to age and wear. Fine Antique Reverse Painted Table Lamp Satin Glass Shade Chrysanthemum Flowers
We are pleased to offer this antique table lamp for auction. This beauty stands an impressive 25 inches tall to the top of the brass finial. And the shade measures 18 inches in diameter with a 3 ¼ inch fitter. Both the shade and base are unmarked. But date to sometime in the 1920’s or 30’s. The base is a cast iron in composition and has the original painted bronze finish with a rich. Warm patina. The finish is nearly 100% with just a small loss around the edge of the base. The shade as mentioned is unmarked. The glass has a satin finish with a reverse painted decoration. Gentle pastel hues of rose and purple were used to make the chrysanthemum blooms seemingly come to life. This shade is free from any cracks. This is an original Pairpoint glass shade with brass base. This boudoir sized lamp stands 13" tall. Including brass base. The shade is 9 1/2" across the widest point and 6 1/2" tall. Please look closely at the photos to see that the shade has been reverse and obverse painted with a tree motif in greens and browns. It took a great deal of artistic talent to create Handel's reverse painted shades, combining skills in watercolor painting techniques with an eye toward how light would play through the glass and paint to create their three dimensional affects used with landscapes, exotic birds, and elaborate floral patterns. In 1902, a foundry was opened that allowed Handel to make their lamp bases in house as well, allowing the artists working there to experiment in bases which were complementary to the shade designs. Handel lamp bases were mostly made of patinated white metal although some examples of bronze bases do exist. However the lamp base is extensively marked. It has a wreath logo and a model numberr"136" Also, a patent date of 11-22-21 and Made-in-U.S.A. Antique Art Deco Miller Lamp Co. Reverse Painted Lamp Base & Satin Shade #232
This auction features an antique bronzed Miller Lamp and shade. This lamp has been in one families possession since it was acquired new back in the late 1920’s(Or maybe the early 1930’s. The owner cannot remember exactly) The bronzed base stands 20 ½ inches tall and has a nice authentic patina. The base features alternating panels with tulips and a stylized art deco design. The base is signed on the bottom as pictured and retains all of the original bronzed finish. The cord is a replacement cloth cord. The shade which is original to this lamp is a satin glass shade with an attractive reverse painted scene which completely surrounds the shade. The shade measures 15 inches in diameter. Stands 8 inches tall, and has a 3 ¼ inch fitter. There are a few condition issues needing mentioned. The first and in my opinion the worst of the issues ... moreis a loss of original finish. There are 4 areas where this has happened, and I have pointed all four for one to evaluate. Here is the story I was told on this issue, and I tend to believe it. The original owner liked the way that the canopy of the lamp had areas where the red-toned sky was lighter is depth. Making it look like a clouds. She liked this so much, she decided to scratch off areas on the shade to make it resemble clouds as well. I am certain this can be restored, and it does look like clouds, but I think if I were to keep this, I would have it restored. The second condition issue is two small chips on the edge of the shade. These are small. We have shown them in comparison with a pencil point for one to evaluate. These are on the flat ground surface and does not affect the profile but mentioned for accuracy. There is the typical roughness around the fitter, but these are covered when the original cap and finial are placed on the shade. All in all. A nice survivor.

This is a lovely antique lamp. Circa 1920. It has a small harp to accommodate a 7.5" watt bulb to be used as a night light. Old cloth cord was replaced and new one is current, no work needed. As shown is the reverse-painted glass shade in a pretty rose color w/ florals of green. Blue. Shade has small bottom flea bites which can be felt but does not distract from the overall appearance. Topnot and finial are replacements.

Here's a fabulous antique Table Lamp with a rare REVERSE PAINTED textured GLASS Shade. 4 Hand Painted panels on the interior of the eight-sided shade. With a gorgeous BARK TEXTURE on the exterior. The paintings on 4 of the 8 panels vary. But they all are scenes of cabins with stream& canoe& lake ~ rustic and charming. This was produced by Nicholas Kopp's Pittsburgh Lamp(Pilacrasgo) Co. between 1900 and 1926 when the company was bankrupted. Shade sits on a warm brass-colored cast base with nice leaf. Column pattern. Has a brass light socket with pull chain on/off. Has a 3-legged, adjustable-height shade holder/harp and brass-colored 3-3/4" cap that screws on, to hold the shade in place. Lamp has a new fabric cord and adds a charming touch to most decors, especially Art Deco or Cabin. Great antique condition EXCEPT for ... morea 1/2" x 3/4" chip on the inside of one shade panel. This can be repaired by a glass maker, or hidden with a frosted paint. No other damage found. P lease study my pictures as they form an important part of the description.
