Antique Victorian Duplex Brass Double Student Oil Lamp Electric Original Globes
Hi. You are bidding on the most beautiful lamp. It is a Duplex student oil lamp that was converted to electric. You can see by the cord and plug that it is one of the oldest electric lamps you will ever see. It has been tested and did work when I bought it but the cord is super old. I would get a second opinion before you use the cord. The globes are LOVELY and even more beautiful in person. They are in good condition with no nicks or cracks. The globes measure approximately ten inches across at the bottom and 4.5 inches or so on the top. The entire lamp is 27 inches when measured from base to top of chimneys. I believe the chimneys are also original in that they look like old glass and they are the exact measurements of the original chimneys. One of the chimneys has some roughness around the base where it goes into the metal but it is not ... morechipped. If you collect these antique lamps. I think you are going to love this one. There are problems, but minimal. I see that there is one lamp socket that is sort of tipped to one side. There is some difficulty getting the round base for the chimney into the larger frame for the glass globe. But I think that all of these issues are probably just a part of owning a lamp like this. A good heavy Victorian Oil Lamp. The lamp is complete. In working order and has been lightly cleaned to show its beauty but to preserve the antique element. It stands 13” 33cm tall. It is all original. There is no damage. Only the odd minor insignificant ding and split in the brass as would be expected of a genuine antique piece and commensurate with age. The stem is brass. L&B Brevetes- French/ Belgium c1880 A very attractive oil lamp from the French/Belgian company. Lempereur& Bernard. Dating from the Victorian period. C1880. Featuring a decorated metal pedestal base and amber glass oil holder. The piece appears to have been in use until recently and has been photographed with the wick ... moreand fuel in place. This will be removed for shipping so the piece will come without a wick and with no fuel. Condition report: The wick mechanism is corroded and very dirty to the underside. But it appears to work well and fits to the top of the glass oil holder so the corrosion can not been seen when it is in use. The top rim of the glass holder has some chips as you would expect. Again, as this is at the point where it fits to the wick holder it cannot be seen. There is a split to the metal at the side of the wick holder which, while it could be visible on display, does not detract in any significant way. The glass spout to the top is most likely not the original but it fits correctly and suits the lamp well. The piece needs a very good clean! Sizes: 51cm(20.25 inches) tall. A Victorian tole peinte. Brass and glass mounted hand held oil lamp, the glassflue above the burner, on a cylindrical reservoir with dished metal mirror plateabove, on an arched backplate.It is possible that this hand-held lamp was intended for use in mines but generally miners' lamps were more substantially built for arough life. It could alternatively have been intended for use on a railwayplatform, but generally speaking these lamps were made for general use, withno specific area of utility intended. They were very useful and relativelyinexpensive to make so many, many were produced, quite a lot of which stillsurvive, hence the fairly low auction starting price given here.

This beautiful victorian lamp came from my grandmother's home and she was born in 1900. It is in perfect working condition. The lamp stands 21" tall. The glass shade is 11" at the widest point. The brass trim around the base of shade has pits and small scratches. The other brass fixture is in very good condition. Heavy milk glass base is in perfect condition. The purple glass is more of an amethyst color than the pictures show.

Up for sale we have a lovely Bradley& Hubbard Lamp that is quite special. This is a small side table lamp called a"Regulator" Lamp. This solid Brass Lamp is marked Bradley& Hubbard on the stem. Along with the word Regulator, and on the bottom with the half circle Bradley and Hubbard Lamp. We have not tested the lamp. However it appears to be in excellent condition with no drilled holes breaks or missing parts. The wick and stem seems to be in great working condition. The font is straight and true with no holes or leak areas. The base has a lovely dimpled effect all about the sides. We have a chimney on the lamp. But it did not come with a shade. This is a 19th century lamp and the shade did not come with the package. We are not quite sure what type of shade it once had. So we are selling it in As Found condition. The lamp ... morestands 19" tall to the top of the chimney by 6 1/2" across at the footed base. The Lamp itself without the chimney stands about 10" tall to the top of the wick area. This auction is for a good quality pottery and brass Victorian oil lamp base that needs an oil reservoir/font to complete. The pottery base has an attractive transfer and hand decorated pattern of oranges and flowers. The pottery body is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Some wear to the gilding but the decoration is intact. The black ceramic foot appears to be in good condition with no chips and the brass is free from splits or dents. Offered for auction is this circa mid to late 1800's brass Rayo oil lamp converted to electricity. Has a nice shade ring that fits over the hidden electrical socket that holds the mild glass shade. Up for auction is this attractive brass oil lamp base with a cast and turned column on a pierced cast brass square pyramid shaped base. Stands 180mm( approx 7 inches) tall and the base is 110 mm square. Heavy. The brass is solide, extremely nicely cast. Would make a superb base for a miniature oil lamp with a nice victorian glass fount. Top threaded socket is just 21.7mm ID. And takes a threaded fount screw just over 22mm male, though some Hinks undermounts will also fit it( though a bit loose) Can supply a nice cast brass fount screw to fit(extra) if wanted. rare antique very large ornate bronze Victorian oil lamp font brass oil lamp old
This is an extremely rare high quality antique 19th century Victorian bronze oil lamp font. it is made from very thick solid bronze and is a very heavy font. it has acquired a wonderful patina from age and is a great design. it's extremely ornate with Victorian detailing throughout done in high relief. it has a spring loaded bronze knob on the side to control fluid and another to control the circular wick. it is made for a large lamp and in nice antique condition. the lamp is marked PD on the top. measures 16 3/4 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches wide. the cylindrical part on the bottom that would fit into a lamp measures 6 1/2 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches wide. it is an extremely high quality lamp. I do have a matching font to this one but it is in good condition but missing the wick control knob. It can always be replaced though. Antique Victorian Era Oil Lamp base slag glass brass brown repurpose flower pot
Up for sale is this great Victorian Era Oil Lamp base made of Slag( glass and the base is made of metal with brass finish. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and has a great draped design. The base metal is also in very good structural and cosmetic condition and only the brass finish is somewhat worn(please see photos) This is rather large. Measuring over 12 inches wide at the widest section and almost 12 inches tall. There are no maker marks. However there is a# on the bottom of the metal base that reads, 42, I say? because I can not read what that first number or letter is. I was told by the family who owned this that this came from Germany, likely European at least, but the actual maker is unknown and could have been made in USA. This weighs almost 6 lbs! Victorian Edwardian Antique oil lamp brass under-mount fitting for glass font
This brass font under-mount is ready to be fitted to a glass oil lamp font. These are difficult to find spares and I had a number made many years ago when restoring antique oil lamps. After over 40 years in the hobby I have finished doing restoration work and am selling off old lamp spares. Parts etc. The screw thread diameter of this under-mount is approximately 21mm, the height 23mm and the diameter at the widest point 40mm. A useful item for the oil lamp enthusiast.
