Antique Vtg Signed Pairpoint Dolphin Lamp Dual 3 Prong Shade Holder Ornate Top
This Pairpoint dolphin base lamp came from an auction in Vermont. The bottom of the lamp is marked Pairpoint with numbers. Possibly 03076. The numbers are hard to make out. The lamp measures 24 3/4" to the very top. A magnet does not stick to the lamp. It may be bronze, but I am not positive. The felt bottom is partly unglued. An electric cord needs to be reconnected. It does not come with an electric cord. When you hold on to the top of the finial, it can be turned down the connection rod to the first round flat piece in picture 6 and 7. This may have been normal, I am not sure. At one time the lamp had a very heavy shade on it probably causing the separation between the rod and the round flat piece you see in pictures 6 and 7. As most of these shades were destroyed over the years from overheating. This is an ORIGINAL and Signed on both shade and base. The shade is decorated with pink and purple poppies and thorny green leaves stylized in a yellow basket weave effect. My neighbors absolutely went nuts when I placed this lamp in the front window for display for a couple of nights. This lamp measures 14" tall. This Pairpoint Puffy lamp has puffy flowers and butterflies surrounding the sides of the shade against a white background with green vining buds and leaves. This shade is called the Florence shade because of the bump out at the top. The exterior of the shade is accented with gilded outlines. Shade is signed on the interior near the lip"The Pairpoint Corp'n" as well as a patent date of July 9, 1921. Base has minor wear and discoloration to finish as well, the base is also marked. The base measures 8.5" wide and 4.5" tall. The height of the base and shade together is approximately 14" tall.
