This hanging ... morelight fixture dates from the 1920's. It is made mostly of brass however some parts are made of cast iron including the chain. Please ote. This lamp is being sold as-found for parts and repair. There are a couple tiny cracks in the fitters as you can see. There is also signs of rust on the thumb screws as well as the chain which would need to be cleaned up. It looks as if someone had started to restore this lamp but never finished. There are new wires as well as new sockets and it is being sold as working. The lamp shades shown in the pictures will be included. The glass lamp shades are free from any chips or cracks. The fitter size is a standard 2 1/4" so most antique lamp shades would fit this lamp. This lamp also comes with the ceiling canopy and the original mounting bracket. We are very pleased to offer this Edward Miller& Co. Meriden, Conn. Oil or Kerosene Banquet Lamp. Font. This Font has never been electrified and has the original Burner and Shade Holder. It is Brass and. Again, has never been electrified. The Burner is marked on the top of the Flame Spreader with the Miller Logo. The oil filler cap is not marked. The Wick lifter does work and moves easily up and down. Please see the photos that show it in the up position and in the down position. The Font top is highly embossed and in one section is marked: THE MILLER LAMP. On the inside column that holds the flame spreader there are the following Patent Dates; PATD. Lamp comes complete with the chimney and octagon shaped upper globe as pictured. The Model 23 burner has been electrified. Burner was altered for the conversion but font tank remains unchanged. With a new burner this lamp could easily be changed back to oil if desired. Glass parts are in great condition with no chips or cracks. The shade ends are rough cut. The chimney is the lox on type and is faintly marked Pyrex and Aladdin. Hand painted decoration depicts a green leafy plant design with purple and violet colored flowers. There is an electric cord that can be pulled out. And you can take the top of the glass oil lamp and put another font/burner on. The glass green lamp shade has several cracks and has been glued back together. If you don't want the shade with the cracks let me know. The current shade has a 13-3/4" shade fitter opening. There are 3 significant dings in the pillowed areas around the bowl, the rest of the lamp looks good. It is very ornate with religious symbolism. There is light tarnish on the bowl. It has been electrified and works great. It is very clean. It holds a 10" shade. I do have glass chimneys and quilted shades available but did not list with the lamp because the weight runs up the shipping and the shades I have are common. One is red and the other milk glass. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, brass hanging oil lamp with cranberry hobnail font surrond and half moon shade. It retains its chain pulley system, and the usually missing brass smoke bell. Has been electrified, with the new cord entering the font area through the fill cap. The lamp fixture is complete with brass ceiling canopy and cast iron loop. The wiring extends for ceiling connection. From canopy down to drop pull finial measures 37" tall. The shade measures 13-1/2" diameter by 9" tall. The hobnail glass surround for the brass font is 4-1/4" tall by 6-1/2" diameter. Excellent condition: glass shade and font surround without chips or cracks. This is SPECTACULAR! What a unique design! This ornately ensconced lamp has a formidable dragon sitting atop what would have been the oil font done in black. The base is done in an elaborate floral/acanthus design. A gorgeous and very heavy converted Argand lamp. The base is quite solid and sturdy. The underside is hallmarked but I can only read half of it. It is stamped"Birmingham" on one side and"cliff" on the other. I wish I could find any information about this piece. But I have had no luck. Any information would be greatly appreciated. All the metal work is in wonderful condition. The shade frame is in perfect shape but the silk has rotted and needs to be replaced. The cord is the original silk wrapped cord and also needs to be replaced. Main body appears to be comprised of copper and brass, the base is iron and the Griffins are an unknown metal. Lamp measures approximately 11 1/2" tall to the top of the Griffin's wings. And about 16" wide wing to wing. Condition is good with a wonderful aged patina. There is some rust on the iron base. The body of the lamp had a time worn, distressed finish with some verdi patina which can be seen clearly in the photos. This lamp is in working order, however, as with all of our vintage lighting, this piece is sold in as is condition, regardless if it is in need of repair or refurbishing. Antique Cranberry/Ruby & Brass OIL LAMP Banquet/Parlor Electrified 1850-1899
This is a stunning lamp and pictures just don't do it justice but be sure to look at all of them as they are part of this description. This is an oil lamp that has been converted to electricity with the on/off switch on the cord. The center cranberry or ruby glass portion has 1" x 2" panels all around it and sits on top a brass shaft atop a really solid ceramic base. The original knobs on the brass burner both have a sailing ship etched in them. The shade is a frosted globe with a brass looking rim and measures 10" high and 9" in diameter. The shade is the widest part and it stands 29" tall to the top of the chimney. It is extremely heavy. Weighing 8 lbs 7ozs, and will require some special packing and shipping so do not pay until you have received an invoice which includes the correct shipping. Vintage Rayo Brass Oil Lamp Early 1900s Electrified
This is a brass kerosene Rayo lamp that has been converted to electric and works just fine. The Rayo lamp was first patented in 1894. Made by Bradley and Hubbard for Standard Oil who owned the trademark name"Rayo" At one time, these lamps were given away free to boost the sale of kerosene. Bradley and Hubbard's lamps were also sold to other retailers with royalties paid to Standard Oil(now Exxon) for the use of the Rayo name. Measuring 13 inches tall and 6 inches wide across the base. This vintage Rayo lamp has a few small dents, a larger one on the back(see photos) and does come with the metal collar with prongs to hold a glass shade in place.

BEAUTIFUL 26" HIGH ANTIQUE BRASS BANQUET OIL LAMP w/ FROSTED GLOBE - ELECTRIFIED
Up for auction is this beautiful all brass banquet 26" high oil lamp that has been converted to electric. The 7" diameter brass bowl has a raised all-around floral casting on top of a rope-turned stem and 7 1/2" four legged scroll base. The removable font has been drilled to allow the electrical wiring to pass thru it and out the side of the bowl where there is also a hole drill. The electrical receptacle takes a 1" bulb insert. The wiring inside the font has been cut so additional wiring is needed to fully electrify the lamp and plug it into a wall outlet. The frosted 7 1/2" diameter glass globe is beautifully etched with crosses and stars completing the lamp. Weighs 4 lbs. before packaging. The burner is modified to accept the socket, the center arm with handle removed and replaced with bulbous brass finial. As presented it measures 13-1/2" tall by 13-1/2" wide by 9" diameter at feet. Two(2) vintage Oil Lamp Bases which have been electrified. We are pleased to present this lot of two(2) vintage Oil Lamp Bases for your consideration. Both have been electrified. Designed to operate from standard 110/120 volts service as found in North America. One lamp( The New Juno) is in working condition(see 2nd picture which shows it lit up) The other( Meteor) has a line cord which appears quite old. And has numerous cracks and splits in its insulation. Its cord should be replaced, and we did not attempt to plug it in. Both Lamps are constructed of brass and are ornately decorated. Neither has a globe. Shade, or chimney. The New Juno measures 14-3/4 inches high and has a base about 9 inches in diameter. It weighs 3 pounds 14 ounces. It has an in-line power switch. Located about 15 inches from the base. Metal surface have a moderate patina, ... moreand there is a bend in the loose ring at the top, but the Lamp is otherwise in very good condition. The Meteor stands about 20 inches high and also has a base about 9 inches in diameter. Much heavier. It weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces. Its power switch is towards the top, mounted on the side of the lamp. Although the switch turns and clicks properly, we did not test this lamp due to the poor condition of the cord. Metal surfaces have a darker patina than the first lamp, but are free of any damage. The individual sections are not tightly attached, but have been left as-is since the cord requires work. We rate the condition of the Meteor as very good. Antique Student dual Oil Lamp, brass, electrified
Antique dual lamp single reservoir electrified student oil lamp. Brass. There is a switch on the cord and each lamp has a switch. One of the switches is stuck on. The other one works fine. The globes are made of two layers of glass. A clear amber glass on the outside and a white milk glass layer on the inside. One chimney is frosted, the other is clear. The height of the lamps is adjustable with a knob on the central support. The lamp came to my family through my great uncle who collected antiques. The wire is getting stiff. It was probably electrified no later than 1965.

In excellent condition with no dents, rusts or damage to the brass oil lamp itself or the darling, very detailed brass(possibly refinished at some point before my mom received it because it has beautiful golden toned finish not a dull brass) country girl design and ornate base. My mother added amber glass chandelier pieces to match the dome and these are NOT antique but are vintage. Some pieces are missing but 17 still intact and can be replaced with new, matching ones. Left them ... morethere and buyer may choose to remove them all since the filigree ring is very lovely without them. there is a section of this ring that is loose and needs to be repaired/secured back down. Tall Antique Ornate Bradley Hubbard B&H Brass Oil Lamp, Electrified
This auction is for a tall ornate antique Bradley Hubbard brass with nickel oil lamp that has been electrified. I am told that it could be converted back. It is 19" tall to top of burner and 33" tall to top of harp. The base is 6 1/2" in diameter. The lamp is in good working condition. Embossed B& H on the filler cap and The B& H on font. There is a streak of oxidation on font and a spot on base as pictures show but no dents. Lamp has not been cleaned at all and it needs a thorough cleaning. How do you qualify an antiques condition? This lamp belonged to my grandmother who passed 15 years ago at 91! The lamp was electrified by my grandfather but I cannot tell you when. There are no dents or broken parts. The lamp lights fine and the wiring is pristine. I just want this to go to a great home where it will be loved and cared for. We are downsizing and there is just not enough space for everything! There is a date 189(5) on the harp and some printing that I cannot distinguish. There is a bit of tarnish over the letters. Description* Please read entire listing for details and terms* Large antique brass country store(hanging? oil lamp. Marked"The Rochester" and showing patent dates of Jan 15. 1884 and Sept 14, 1886. It has been electrified but the power cord is cut. The font is pretty good sized measuring 9" across but it does show a noticeable ding to one side. The hand blown glass chimney measures 12" tall x 4" wide at the base and is in good condition, just shows a tiny scratch near the top. A nice project piece, sold for parts or repair. Light bulb and chimney are not included. The glass has no chips or cracks. The center brass body has fold lines see pictures. This lamp has been modified and might have been hand made because of the type of imperfections. The fold lines are not from falling otherwise I would see bumps and dents. Scotland) History: This electrified oil lamp(photo 1) was in a collection of antiques from my Great Aunt's estate. The inscription on the wick raiser is"T. Rowatt& Sons" An online search revealed that" Thomas Rowatt& Sons" was an Paraffin Lamp manufacturing company in latter half of the 1800's in Edinburgh. Scotland. Note: The light bulb is not included in listing) Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Description: The lamp works just fine(photo 1) It stands 19" tall(photo 2) A flip switch on the cord turns on the illumination. The Burner is brass. A crack is visible in the neck of the burner(photo 3) T. Rowatt& Sons" is embossed on the wick adjuster(photo ... more4) which dates the Burner to Edinburgh. Scotland in the latter half of the 1800's. The Oil cap is also brass. But I have not been able to identify the star-shaped symbol on it(photo 5) The Body is a burnished brass color. There are no major dents in the metal body. But the lacquer shows wear. I.e. small spots have peeled. The Base of the lamp is 5" across. The underside of the lamp is a gray metal(photo 6) So the lamp body is likely this grey metal lacquered burnished gold. Superb PERIOD Aesthetic Movement Electrified Oil LAMP HP Porcelain Brass Mounted
Rare opportunity for the fan of the American Aesthetic Movement and it's'Pursuit of Beauty' Please view all the photos below the description text. Aesthetic period oil lamp converted/electrified. Stunning piece of Aesthetic beauty. With quintessential Aesthetic elements in both the handpainted porcelain and brass mounts. I'll let the photos do most of the'talking' but.will note the superbly handpainted musical trophy and classical bust, with raised enamel-like beads in the surround, the scrolling foliate and gilt-swags, etc. Note that the blue ground has an intentional aged, or'dirty' effect which is quite-obviously intended, as it is UNDER the handpainted work. The reeded rings are free-hanging/movable. No apparent cracks or damage to the porcelain sections. No apparent cracks or damage to the brass base or ... moremounts. The only loss I note is some loss of the gilt painting around the female bust. And on the flowerhead elements. Minor, and we should all be permitted to have such minimal imperfections when over 100 years old. Just completely rewired with quality wire of a good length. I do not guarantee that there is some flaw(s) that I have missed but. Again, nothing is readily evident.and my eyesight is still keen enough. The stunning Fenton opaline white-blue ribbed shade is in nice condition. With no evident damage/issues. I'm assuming that this was originally an oil lamp. As remnants of the pertinent upper elements remain, but.not an expert on original oil lighting. I am willing to eliminate the shade from the sale. Should you wish to use another with the lamp base. I will, then, reduce the price by $100. which will be done via modified Invoice. Please advise. Should you wish to exercise this option. Dimensions: Overall height. 1850-1899, Russian style Antique electrified brass oil lamp
Up listed antique oil lamp is electrified in early 1910. It looks like Russian made as i had sold similar pair marked USSR. This one is unmarked, Switch says'Gilbert New York city Pat. 2723327. Cast iron old base with original wiring and switches, Chimney is old as well. It works fine and is in an excellent condition except a small ding at the bottom of globe which can be seen clearly in uploaded pictures. Weight 1.4labs after carefully packed in 12"x12"x8-1/2" box weighs 2.8labs. The Most Beautiful and RARE Antique or Vintage Brass Electrified Student Lamp!

This is a very beautiful antique OR vintage solid brass electrified student lamp that is unlike any I've ever seen. It is marked RV and an anchor. I've done much research on the RV anchor mark. But can't seem to come up with anythng other than a couple of ship lamps with this mark that I found online that apparently were made around 1830 from France. Whenever it was made, it was made with quality and is breath taking! It has two"arms" with hands holding each lamp, claw feet and an alabaster stem. It has two very beautiful cranberry edged glass shades, and measures about 30" tall X 18" wide. It is in good condition with some brass tarnishing and the left lamp ... moresits in it's holder a bit crooked. Sorry my photos aren't better, was having trouble with the light adjustment on my camera. My photos do not depict the beauty of this rare lamp! This lamp will require UPS packing and shipping. And I won't know the actual cost of it until the buyers location is determined, so the packing and shipping amount stated is only a guess and could be more or less. Antique Brass Footed Electrified Kerosene Lamp HandPainted Globe (B&H?)
For your consideration: an antique Brass converted from oil to electric. Footed kerosene lamp with a beautiful hand painted globe. I believe this lamp to be an antique B&H because it is similar to others listed but there are no markings. The design of the brass font is beyond remarkable.it is 3 footed with curled feet on a 7 1/4 inch domed base with a ball decorative rim. The 3 legs have gorgeous tops of lines. Balls and scrolls attached to the urn shaped font that has a rounded top with the same decorative ball trim. The throat which used to be part of the burner has 3 rising cut out leaves that meet with the 5 inch rim that hold the globe. There is a pull chain to turn on the light. The hand painted globe is milk glass as background with stunning orange. Peach, gray, brown, and beige painting completely around every side. It is about ... more9 inches tall and is about 8 1/2 inches wide. The sciences painted all the way around the globe are gray mountains. Brown trees, and an orange sunset behind a snow covered log cabin. This is an antique piece with some signs of age. There is oil residue on the body can be cleaned away or stay to add to its authenticity. As well. The globe doesn't have a lot of color fade, but there a few dots around the top of missing color. Antique Whale Oil Lamps Amber Etched Glass w Marble & Brass Base Electrified
This is a beautiful early antique whale oil lamp that has been converted to electric. The color of the glass is a rich warm amber and the simple etched design catches the light. The lamp measures 17.5" tall from top of light socket to base. Which is 5" x 5" x 2 1/4" The bulbous part of the amber glass is 5.5" wide. The condition of the lamp is very good with just a tiny chip on the upper part of the marble base on one corner, as pictures show. It works, and just needs a harp and shade.
