This beautiful Mid Century Modern Sofa is 9' 109" in length. It has the great Hollywood Regency style upholstered in a lovely gold colored cotton felt. On the original order receipt it shows the color as"Antique" This vintage couch is plush and comfortable. It has a rare ONE LONG bottom cushion. This sofa was very well taken care of. It is in excellent condition for its age. No rips or tears. One of the tufts is not securely under the button(as seen in the picture) There is a a small scuff mark on one of the buttons on the bottom front and one on the skirt in the back(as seen in pictures) Some of the pictures make the fabric look faded. Here is a mid century gondola sofa in the manner of ADRIAN PEARSALL. It has classic 50 styling with a very deep seating area that makes it super comfortable. It measures 93 inches wide by 32 inches deep by 30 inches tall. The seating height is 15 inches and the sofa is very supportive and comfortable. The fabric is actually in decent shape and is you like bright flame fur this is for you just as it is. It has no stains of smells but the fabric is loose at the bottom back, all it will need is to be re-stapled. Vintage Mid Century Modern Eames Era Adrian Pearsall Sofa Couch FULLY RESTORED
This auction is for a beautiful Danish Modern Adrian Pearsall Mid Century Modern Eames Era couch I have had FULLY RESTORED– designer fabric. New heavy industrial foam and body padding, new webbing, new decking, new foam cushions, two new pillar foam end pillar bolt cushion pillows, new chrome cushion clips and I had the strings re-tightened. It is a breathtaking piece of furniture. The original under frame is still in place. I purchased it several months ago, had it fully restored, received it last month and now found out I am being transferred. The furnishings I am taking with me have to be limited and this is one of the pieces I have to sadly let go. It is gorgeous. There are no labels on it. It is IMMACULATE and has been freshly reupholstered with the most gorgeous celery green woven fabric with a designer‘circle and dot’ accent fabric ... morethat is second to none spectacular. I call it my“ Marlo Thomas/That Girl” look! Words cannot describe the colors of the accent fabric. The velvety‘circles’ are a jeweled turquoise color with a matching green celery“dot” inside(that matches the overall celery green woven fabric to a“T” the woven background inside the circle is a bit darker beige color than the lighter beige woven background. This fabric is carried over into the two pillar bolt cushions. The company that restored this couch is renowned in the area and did an EXPERT job. I am EXTREMELY picky and they truly surpassed even my expectations! It is a truly daring design. I wanted something‘light’ yet‘bold’ and I feel my goal was accomplished. Both fabrics are new and are currently available should you want to match other pieces of furniture in your home. Fading along a strip at the top of the back of the sofa(see pic 5) There is soiling underneath the cushions on the material near the label(see pic 3) There are marks and claw marks along the cushions(see pics 4.6& 7 for examples) The lounge chair does not have the label. George Nelson for Herman Miller Mid-Century Modern Steel Frame Sofa Couch
For your consideration is this George Nelson design sofa for Herman Miller. It is their Steel Frame line and this one features a 3 cushion design with an attached end table. It measures just shy of 8' long overall and 28" tall at the back. It is 26" deep overall with a seat height of about 16" The attached white laminate table measures 24x24" While I have no doubt the sofa is as described. It would appear that this one is unsigned. It does show an identifying mark from Northern Illinois University. It is a strikingly modern design that is long and low, very much in keeping with the mid-century aesthetic. It remains in very nice as found condition with only a smudge or two on the back and a small area of minor wear to the back of one corner. Nothing that detracts. MID CENTURY MODERN HARVEY PROBBER LEATHER & BRASS SOFA COUCH HOLLYWOOD REGENCY
Sleek and sophisticated armless sofa designed by Harvey Probber. This sofa is upholstered in top quality glove-soft black leather with a slim brass frame and legs. Red piping and button tufting complete the classic look. It has 3 loose down-filled back cushions for added comfort and the tufted seat cushion is reversible. Extremely sturdy and well made. Exceptional quality. This came from the office of Mitch Leigh, best known as the composer of the music for Man of La Mancha, and it still retains his customer name along with the Harvey Probber label. DIMENSIONS 79" long by 26 1/2" high by 32 1/2" deep. The seat height is 16" CONDITION Excellent vintage condition. Very clean with light normal wear. The leather upholstery is in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The leather is very soft and supple with a few very ... moresmall scuffs, including one on the back which is not visible when the cushions are in place. One of the tufting buttons towards the back of seat the cushion is missing. It isn't visible with the back cushions in place, or the cushion can be reversed and placed with that side down. There are very tiny holes along the edge on one side of the seat cushion, they look original to the piece and may be there for ventilation. When placed with that side towards the back, it's not seen. The brass is in very good vintage condition with some light tarnish and some scuffs. The majority of this should go away with a polish. We started to polish a section on the right front leg and thought that it might be too bright, so will leave this up to the new owner to decide. The front legs have the original adjustable foot levelers, the levelers on the back are replacements. see pictures) None of this detracts from the overall appearance which is fantastic! This is beautiful. About 5x5 2 parts. The story I was told is that this was custom made in Asia in the 60's for an affluent ship captain. I can't confirm any of that but no one I have ever showed it to has ever seen anything like it and it has no markings. Very well built and in excellent condition. It has teak trims. There is a storage compartment that comes out like a trundle. The cushions on the back hook on yo the back board in a very unique way. Fresh out of a smoke free estate, the couch and chairs look great and feel great as well, I am not into this style of furniture(we normally buy primitives for our store) but when we seen this on a house call me and my wife knew we had to buy it, all three items are in excellent condition, no staining at all that we can see, no rips or tears either( I can see only one pinky size tear in the webbing underneath one chair) some of the legs have tape brown electric style tape wrapped around them I didn't take this off I think this was done to protect them from scuffing. The legs are slanted and they are all very tight, no wobbling. The cushions on the couch are the same design front and back while the chair cushions have the same green look on one ... moreside and on the other it has a 1960's patio furniture floral design(it is a cloth style fabric) the items all have a maker badge of"International" We had sold this couch a few hours initially after listing it last week, the man who had bought it realized it was not going to fit down the hallway of his apartment, so here it is again for sale. There are a few"pulls" in the fabric but they are minor and hard to see within it's texture. The area around the screws that attach the cushions to the frame are a bit worn and dirty. I do not know if this sofa has been in a smoking enviornment, it doesn't smell like smoke. I do have cats but they have not been on the sofa ever, I do not know if the sofa previously ever had pets on or around it. The wood frame(teak) is in good-very good condition. The finish is in good shape with no discernible fading. There are scratches, most of them pictured, in the following locations: base of the legs has the worst scuffs/scratches/marks(i.e. old paint bits) including some that are quite long. Some of this may be surface and removable, I've made no attempt to clean or refinish the wood. There is a small nick/scratch on top of one arm, pictured. Mid Century Modern sofa white long 1960's authentic original couch! This is an amazing couch from the 60's! Long. Low and sleek in design It's in wonderful vintage condition with no major defects! The cushions are reversible. It was reupholstered with a white fabric similar to the period but has a bit more familiarity to it. There is a light green and beige stripe running through it. The fabric is in wonderful condition but does show some minor wear as shown in pictures. There are a couple of dirt spots. This may clean up very easily. A bit of fading is evident under the arm slip covers. The last picture shows you how I have decorated the room with the couch. None of the other items are included in this sale.
