Pre-Columbian Face Portrait Head Trophy vessel w TL Test Doc! ceramic terracotta
Great cup in the form of trophies head. The special thing. And for that Moche ceramics are known, the representations of real character. The right eye looks normal, the left looks like it would be blind and covered by a cap. Or there is a breach by a fight. What is known, however, that physical abnormalities were honored and presented in part as a sign from the gods. The head has a nice haircut and earplugs, behind the ears are still remains of a helmet or similar. The processing is relatively massive and coarse, a typical sign of the late Moche. Small discontinuations(nose, edge of spout) bumps on the surface, otherwise in good condition age related. Due to its relation to the real brutal life of a deformed head has these ceramics a very rare and own charisma, a real collectable! See the price inclusive the lab test. Unbeatable! RARE Pre Columbian Vera Cruz dying Deity terracotta artifact art pottery COA
This is a rare and very unusual figural effigy of a Pre Columbian terracotta. Pottery dying deity figure lying on a bed with a blanket. It has also been described as a sleeping deity. Figure lying supine with legs up and either dying or sleeping. Head has holes through it but I don't know the meaning of this. He is not demanding and will not ask much attention. Pre Columbian reproduced Muisca terracotta pottery double bowl stirrup vessel
This is a really nicely created Pre a Columbian double Jar and spout stirrup vessel typical of Muisca Culture of Columbia. It was recreated in painstaking detail with patina and manganese deposits. I believe a series of Pre Columbian art pieces have been made in Britain and this is one of several I have purchased. Nicely done. Sits on two pottery rings. Great for the lower budget collector of pre Columbian artifacts and from a culture not typically seen online. Great eye catching decor. Muisca culture is from Columbia circa 5000C to 1500BC. They were a very large and well devolved pre Columbian confederations of cultures and were larger than most other groups more readily known. Thought to exist beginning as long as 5500 BC. Heavy item for shipping but sturdy. 11 inches long. 8 inches tall, and 51/2 inches deep. Big boy. Beautifully rendered. ... moreSee my other Pre Columbian artifacts and unique gifts. Awesome LARGE set of Pre Columbian terracotta pottery carved beads stones relic
This is an impressive lot of 37 Pre Columbian spindle whorl bead stones with great carvings. There a lots of different patterns and shapes collected over Peru and probably Mexico but the exact location isn't known. These are terracotta or pottery beads used on small sticks to aid weavers in spinning yarn. This is still done by the indigenous peoples of South. Meso America and Mexico. The beads are large many over an inch. See photos. These beads are very old and likely 500-1200 AD. They are typical of many you will see on line or auctions of Pre Columbian bead stones. Purchased from online collector. I have used beads like these just for the impressive display but also to create jewelry or necklaces with modern elements and spacers and restringing them so that they become Pre Columbian wearable historic jewelry with a contemporary look. ... moreThe carvings are deep but there is wear on the stones which is due to the age and adds to the charm. Pre Columbian Terracotta Statue of Woman Carrying Water Pot
Pre Columbian Terracotta Statue of Woman Carrying Water Pot Pre Columbian Terracotta statue of a woman holding a pot that I believe is Aztec or possibly Mayan. It measures approximately 4 1/4" tall. This is one of a few Pre Columbian items I obtained from an estate collection. Unfortunately it was broken somewhere along the line and not professionally repaired. Pre-Columbian Terracotta Figure Idol ~ From an old collection!
Greeting Fellow Kollectors! Up for sale are from my most recent finds! This beautiful antique hand carved Haida wooden mask came from a wonderful estate of a man who was described by his widow as a'an amateur Indian Jones of sorts' He was an early film documentary film maker who travelled and explored all over the world and hence where his extensive collection of interesting and amazing artifacts came from. This terracotta idol was told to me to be Pre-Columbian in origin as the original owner had a vast collection of such artifacts. Collected in the 50's and 60's. It has a wonderful patina and is carved with by a skilled artisan hand. The item looks very ancient and there are no signs of modern tooling. I am not an expert and have no paper work to accompanying any of the pieces from this collection. But based on the story ... moreof the former owner's widow, I believe them to be old. Please use your own judgement before bidding: Approx. 2" I have listed many more incredible pieces from this kollection:

Pre Columbian Mayan Terracotta Bead Roatan Honduras
This piece was acquired at Coxen Hole of the Roatan Islands in Hondurace from an amature archeologist/collector who found it on the island. I met him while on vacation and struck up a conversation about antiques and from there. Was invited to his humble home to view his collection which he personally found on the island over a period of about 50 years, since he was a kid playing in the jungles. I had the opportunity to purchase a small part of this collection which I will be listing here on Ebay. This auction is for a terracotta with what appears to be. Tiny remnants of a copper colored paint or materil that I can see through my loupe all over the bead. It measures about 15mm. It is in untouched, uncleaned condition.
