PRE COLUMBIAN FEMALE FIGURE POTTERY MEXICO AUTHENTIC ANCIENT This Mexican Pre Columbian pottery female figure is 7 inches high and is possibly a variant ... moreof Jalisco or Nayarit but I am not an expert and cannot be sure of the culture. It will not stand by itself and is supported for the photos. Iti s missing an arm. Lower leg and foot and another foot. or whatever it had at the ends of the legs) The arm is complete with no hand just a rounded structure. Ears and nose are abnormally large with the head sloping backwards at an angle. Minute reflective crystaline structures in the clay and dark areas that seem to be manganese deposits. There is a slight chip on the back of the head. This is an authentic figure and not a reproduction and I have had it for over 40 years. Figure would look well mounted and standing upright.

Pre Columbian red clay Figure of a figure w/ headress. Nayarit Mexican Pottery
This figure comes from part of a collection from an important Northwest Artist who loved Mexico. This figure measures 4 1/8 inches tall. Has some of it's original paint and no damage to limbs or face. It can stand on it's own with out any problem. I am not an expert on Mexican antiques so feel free to ask questions or take copies of my photographs to your experts in your area. I added more photos of this figure standing.
Pre-Columbian Clay Head of Aztec Burial Piece
Pre-Columbian Head of Aztec Here we go. I bought this head in the early 1970s from New England Rare Coin Gallery. I think I paid $25 or $29. So. I had this thing now for over 35 years now. Wife hates it, but I had this thing longer than my wife! This stands 33mm tall. And its width is 35mm. I tried mounting it once using hot glue, remnants remain. I painted it gold many moons ago. In addition, I filed the side of its head(see photo with horizontal file scrape marks) So, this head is no longer a spring chick. 2 Antique Clay figures Man & Woman, Nayarit ?. Pre Columbian Pottery Very Old
These two figures were bought at an Estate Sale from a very Important Oregon Artist who loved Mexico. These were in his private collection and appear to be artifacts from a dig done decades ago or maybe even much longer ago. They could be hundreds of years old or thousands. I am no expert so I just don't know. They loose a little dust every time they are handled so I was very careful in photographing them. Please ask questions before bidding if you are not sure. I am no expert, just know that these appear to be a red clay and as you can see from the photographs some of the areas of each figure are worn off and a dust comes off of them when handled because they are so old. I have never had anything this old so will pack very gently when shipping them to you and if you have any special shipping instructions I will do my best to comply.

Pre-Columbian Mexico AZTEC ALIEN-LIKE Clay Figure Head !

It's 1 5/8 in. 4.2cm) high. 1 5/8 in. 4.2cm) wide and 3/4 in. 2.0cm) thick. Is it possible aliens from another world visited the Aztecs many years ago? Not likely, but I must admit this is one of the strangest clay figure heads I've handled in the past 60 years! Rare CLAY HEAD with Torso Figural pre Columbian Authentic ARTIFACT See***
Here is a small ceramic artifact. From an old private collection. This collection has been in the US from 1962. And we are proud to be offering this item for sale, at this time. Measures: Under 2 inches in height. And just over 1. 60 inches at its w idest part. We think it comes from an area of Mexico. Like Colima. Or Nayarit state, but with the turban, wrapped on his head. We may be looking at an early Clay arti fact from Southeast or South Asia. In fact. So the exact origin of this small piece is unknown. But something about the Ear plugs. And small bo w( BIT of jewellry) at the neck. Makes us gravitate towards Asia in its origin. We are quite sure it is pre Columbi an in age. In other words, at least 700 years old, or much earlier. May easily date to the BC period. But we have not had it scientifically tested. these wer e most freque ntly ... morediscove red in groupings. And people used to collect them. Most are in Public Museums, on di splay. Some ar e still floating about. In private collections. A rare find, and adorable. Should be mounted for a nicer display. Happy to take it back. I f you do not love it. SAD to let it go. But that's just how it is. Happy Springtime and finding, and Thank you, for looking. And your consideration. LOT 3 CLAY FIGURES PRE COLUMBIAN PERUVIAN POTTERY ARTIFACTS 3 STATUES
Sometimes I see very rare and special antiquities collected by old Charleston families going through our local high end estate sales and such is the case with these three marvelous ancient pre Columbian Peruvian pottery figures. These terrific antique clay figures measure 4.75 inches tall by 4.5 inches long; 4.5 inches tall by 4 inches long; and 3 inches tall by inches long. Respectively. I've included numerous pictures in an attempt to accurately represent their design, quality, condition and overall beauty. Though I am not an expert in pre Columbian artifacts. It's very clear this wonderful group of ancient pottery figures are quite special and not something easy to come by. When they came to the auction where they sold, all that was known is that they had been in the grandfather's collections going back to the early 1900's ... morebut no other specific information as to whom or how they were originally obtained was provided, though it was clearly long ago and many years prior to any regulations limiting export so such historically relevant pieces by collectors and tourists. The only information with the figures was a hand written note stating they were of the pre Columbian Chimu culture, Peru 900-1470. To ship these incredible ancient collectibles. I would require they shipped via signature service UPS or USPS, fully insured for selling price. I am willing to sell and ship these artifacts internationally however I would require they be shipped via Priority Express International(USPS)with signature service at delivery and as well as buyer assuming all in country taxes and fees upon arrival. Certainly museum quality. This group of three Peruvian pre Columbian figures is certainly a rare and special find and I hope they find a very special home, whether museum or personal collection, where they will be loved and appreciated for their beauty and historical value. Please do visit my ebay store to see the wide variety of other fine antique and vintage collectibles I have available through separate auctions i

Pre Columbian animal clay figures - Mexico
Pre Columbian Clay figures. During the 1960's while living in Mexico I found these arrowheads. The location was at the base of a small extinct volcano close to. Cuatla. Morelos, Mexico. It is my understanding that the area was populated in Pre Aztec times by the Xochimilco tribe. The figures appear to be of a dog. A bird and a turtle? They are about 2" 5 cm) long on average. They were parts of a larger clay item which. I believe was a bowl with the figures being the handles.
Antique Pre Columbian reproduction wood carved Tumi, artifact, relic art, clay
This is a wonderful old wood hand carved decorative tumi figure made by a local artisan in Cuzco. Peru. This Pre Columbian artifact replica is represented as the kind of artifact that many Peruvians have hanging in their homes much as we might hang a crucifix or a political figure photo in a government building. The tumi has symbolic and practical meaning for Incas and indigenous population in Peru. It was used in rituals, sacrifice, in surgery and any number of cutting tasks. Usually made of bronze or stone it was also produced in pounded flat copper tumi replicas for currency, or as collectibles. They have now become very popular as a collectors item of Pre Columbian Peruvian artifacts and reminders of ritual usage in ceremonies and inca sacrifices of llamas, but also children and their enemies. This wooden one would be an in home decor. ... moreMost tumis had decorative figures on the handle end opposite the curved relic blade. There are inlaid mirrors, and green semiprecious stones for eyes but I am not sure what material. One arm was broken and repaired and the seam can be seen on the reverse. Loop to hang with. A very classic icon for Latin home decor. CA about 1940- 1950s. Culture: Peru, indigenous descendants of Inca. 30 inches tall, 10 inches wide, about an inch thick. A dramatic piece. Pre-Columbian Hand Crafted Clay Jar-Very Old, Costa Rica?
Pre-Columbian Hand Crafted Clay Jar This came from Dad's Collection. The jar is 3 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. There is a small chip on the body that is clearly shown in the pictures. Dad had a note tag with it that said over 1000 years old. I took it to a local auction gallery appraiser who shared it was likely a Nicoya Jar from Costa Rica. My own research found nearly identical listings that were Nicoya Circa 500-800 AD. I am not an expert and I have taken numerous high definition pictures so you can be the expert. Some believe it is just a very old vessel, but NOT Pre Columbian. I was led to believe it was Pre Columbian. From Costa Rica. Second hand information from a reputable dealer says old, but more likely Eastern European or Mexican. I can attest to the fact that it has that ancient pre Columbian buried artifact smell when wet inside. This is definitely NOT new. Handsome arrangement of antique native clay beads with a pre Columbian stone pendant. This is another combination of old and new together for a sharp wearable piece. The other spacers and restrung clasps are all new as is the cord. The stones are lovely pastel shades and easy to look at with a simply stated elegance. The colored clay stones are probably North American. About 1-200 years old and the stone is Pre Columbian, but I don't know the culture but likely 500-1000 years old. PRE COLUMBIAN FEMALE FIGURE POTTERY MEXICO AUTHENTIC ANCIENT This Mexican Pre Columbian pottery female figure is 7 inches high and is possibly a variant of Jalisco or Nayarit but I am not an expert and cannot be sure of the culture.
