Inca Treasures Pre Columbian Nicoyan trichrome pottery vessel art artifact COA
Very interesting Pre Columbian pottery vessel art with serpentine legs and serpent faces rimming the top of the vessel though the faces almost look simian. Colors still strong but they are still strong. there are areas of paint thinning minor pitting of paint and uneven glazing such as black clouding of vessel. Pre Columbian reproduction Muisca double jar pottery artifact Art vessel
This interesting piece is a Pre Columbian reproduction of a Muisica double jar effigy vessel complete with aging appearance including manganese deposits. It is a fairly large item. Solid and rather heavy. The color and markings are intense making it a great show piece. I purchased this and a few others that are made by modern artists doing Pre Columbian style vessels. This even has mineral deposits scattered over it. I like a few of these from the artistic standpoint and I can get nice Pre Columbian decor for much less than original that are artistically done. I have priced it as a reproduction well done. The Muiscas were a more loosely organized confederation of peoples than say. The Incas, Aztecs, or Mayans with pottery starting about 1500 BC. Small Pre Columbian Fertility Pottery Artifact Pit Fired Intimate Embrace
Small Estate Piece. I do not know it's history. I have shown it to a few people. Some of whom thought that it was ancient, and some thought it was a 1930-40's reproduction. It looks and feels very old to me. It is only about 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" and weighs 6.4 grams. It is like a small love potion vessel. Looks like at sometime there may have been a string tied about the top. May have been worn around the neck. What I do know for sure: This is a piece of tiny old pit fired potter. I do not clean old pieces. So there are marks on the pieces that might wash off. Please note small imperfections shown in pictures. I only accept returns on items accidently misrepresented. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. PayPal only.

Inca Treasures Pre Columbian style pottery bowl artifact Terraca Mexico art
A very unique and unusual Pre Columbian style pottery artifact with a village specific design. Different old villages in Mexico have produced design patterns unique to their villages and often the village can be identified by the pattern. This coffee bean design matches another that I purchased online from a different unrelated source and both have this design. The only two pieces like this I have seen. I researched this and it appears to be the same pattern and is old and from a village in Mexico. These patterns may endure for years. This is an antique piece and is in shape of a vessel or bowl. The pattern of this and the other Pre Columbian style both have strong color with a coffee bean motif. I am not exactly certain of the age and my estimate is it is from the mid 1850s to early 1930s. The two dishes make a nice twosome if bought together. ... moreThe other vessel is a bowl on my site. Folk art piece from Mexico. Pre Columbian pottery necklace artifact bead stones art turquoise beads earrings
This is a favorite piece of mine. It is Pre Columbian necklace made of Pre Columbian stone disks and real turquoise disks restrung and designed by Elaine Teevens of Monument. Colorado. These are authentic beads and the Turquoise genuine. Completely restrung and clasped. The turquoise and spacers are not antiquities but the pottery Pre Columbian stones are. Part of a collection we have of"Encore By Design: Wearing history" for the creation of wearable jewelry with both new and old pieces. Matching earrings. I think it is a stunning piece. SALE Pre Columbian Mayan Olla vessel terracota pottery artifact art
Sale item. Reducing my collection. This is a nice Pre Columbian Mayan olla vessel with really interesting surface patina. Nice for the beginning collector with lower budget but with lots of interesting features. It has manganese deposits from burial. The uneven fading patterns of paint and glaze leaves traces of paint showing even with some red coloring. On the bottom it has some lines still penetrating through of the original design work and from side it appears there are columns of color left over. I like this piece mostly because of its patina and old look and still in good shape though much paint has faded. A good conversation piece and priced for the lower budget. Culture: Mayan. RARE Pre Columbian Vera Cruz dying Deity terracotta artifact art pottery COA
This is a rare and very unusual figural effigy of a Pre Columbian terracotta. Pottery dying deity figure lying on a bed with a blanket. It has also been described as a sleeping deity. In any event it is a real eye grabber. Figure much more realism based than a lot of Pre Columbian art complete with open mouth and teeth. Figure lying supine with legs up and either dying or sleeping. Head has holes through it but I don't know the meaning of this. He is not demanding and will not ask much attention. This really caught my eye and is a striking Vera Cruz artifact that will really be a conversation piece. I purchased it from Artemis Gallery and it comes with Certificate of Authenticity. Antique Ancient Aztec Mayan Quartz Carved Artifact Set Pottery Pendant Mexico
Ancient Pottery This auction is for a really neat set of ancient pottery pieces that were collected by a local man back in the 1950s or so when he took one of several trips to Mexico. I would imagine these were found on ancient Mayan or Aztec sights but I can’t be sure because the man has since passed away. One of them is a quartz rock carved like a face and most of it is broken off at the back. It measures about 2" tall. The other piece is some kind of lid or pendant because it has a little hole at the back. Looks like a lizard or dog or something. Measures about 1¼" tall. Both are guaranteed old and authentic so if you find out they are indeed newer you can return them. But I had them looked at by a specialist in Central American artifacts and they appear true. Nice set! I charge a 5.1% sales tax to all Wisconsin residents- ... moresorry. It's mandatory! Thanks for bidding! Shipping rules: If you happen to win more than one auction and live in the United States I will GREATLY discount shipping. Obviously. The discount will depend on the weight of each individual item and the physical characteristics of the shipment.
