Authentic Pre-Columbian Mayan Copador/Arambala Polychrome Tripod Bowl. Three Seated Chiefs holding out hands in offering surrounded with pseudo-glyphs. Possibly pre-dates Copador because of red clay. Late Classic Period 300-900 AD Guatemala/El Salvador/Honduras. Jaguar anamorphic motif on tripod legs. Color and condition are amazing. Gold or other metallic flecks mixed into the clay. The glyphs or psuedo-glyphs are remarkable. An amazing piece of history that could be furthered studied and/or presented in a museum. Root marks. Earthy smell and sediments are consistent with age. These are very nice pieces of art from Mexico or S. America. They might be pre-Columbian. I'm not an expert. But I purchased these statues from a high-end estates sale where some very nice ancient art was being sold. Must have been a collector. The middle piece(the tallest) is right under 9 inches tall. The one with the broken leg is also about the same hight. The shortest one is seven inches tall. There are some minor chips and discoloration on all pieces(see photos) But all in all, they are in great condition considering their age. They will be carefully packaged to insure no breakage. They are awesome pieces for the collector. Nice for the beginning collector with lower budget but with lots of interesting features. It has manganese deposits from burial. The uneven fading patterns of paint and glaze leaves traces of paint showing even with some red coloring. On the bottom it has some lines still penetrating through of the original design work and from side it appears there are columns of color left over. I like this piece mostly because of its patina and old look and still in good shape though much paint has faded. A good conversation piece and priced for the lower budget. Culture: Mayan. Bowl Pre Classic Mexico Relic Burial Aztec Treasure Ceremonial Antique Art Sculpture. Guanajuato 3 Footed Tripod Vessel Horde Late Preclassical Mesoamercian Period. A large and exceptional vessel from Mexico's Chupicuaro Valley. Dating to the Late Pre-Classic Period. Circa 500/800 BC to 100 AD. From a legal 1950s collection, passed down from one family until now. It measures about 9-1/2" tall by about 6-1/2" wide. It came with a very old brittle paper piece(that I taped back together and will include) that identifies this piece in writing saying. Chupicuaro, State of Guanajuato, 100 AD- 500 or 800 BC" Three-footed with black decorations around the top sides. It was made with a slight slant to ... moreit as shown. CONDITION: The feet are strong and secure and this is a sturdy piece of thicker pottery. The paint is not dry or flaking off. The glaze or red painting is still kind of shiny. There's a very old repair. That I've tried to show, made up of two top side pieces(2-1/2" by 3" and 2" by 3" that were glued/cemented back together at one time(probably shortly after excavation) At the bottom of this repair is a hairline side crack of 3-3/4" The top shoulders have a 1-1/2" 2-1/4" and 3-1/2" hairline crack at the shoulder. The black colored designs and surface show loss with rubbing and tiny chips that's expected with age. This vessel has been kept very well over the centuries and years and will display nicely. This is a cool Pre Columbian Head from a large collection of artifacts that hails from Arizona. This head was found in Mexico and is from the formative Chupicuaro period 300bc-300ad. Absolutely authentic it measures about 3"in diameter. Is flat with raised nose and recessed eyes and mouth, it seems to have a headband towards the top.

This is a pair of pottery from the ancient era of Mayan history. I got these at an auction recently along with several other pieces that I am selling on eBay. Both of these have been broken and one has been glued back together. The one on the left appears to be an incense burner. No reserve.

This is a neat authentic Pre Columbian Mayan pottery figurine from a collection found in San Luis Potosi. Mexico. Absolutely authentic and complete though one leg is glued back on, he seems to be holding a bowl, and has a headdress, earspools, and some sort of loincloth. It measures about 4 1/2" tall.

Large Mayan Brazier Pottery Figure Pre-Columbian Ancient Artifacts NR
Hi. I have a cool Mayan brazier incense burner. It has a chamber in back for burning copal incense. There is an opening at the top behind the head that the smoke would come out. There is a residue on the inside of it. It is missing a hand and has some weathering. This was probably used for ceremonial purposes. You can just imagine what it looked like with the smoke coming out around the head. I acquired this many years ago from an old collection. Incan/Mayan Pottery Head Mounted Onyx Stone Paperweight: Female w Hat Up for auction is a unique piece I purchased at an estate auction. I'm definitely not an expert in the art of antiquities pottery so I'll describe best I can but please use the photos and your knowledge to help figure what this piece is and it's age. As I don't know if it's original or a reproduction. There's a pottery head of a female with an ornate headpiece. My guess is that it is Mayan or Incan. It's 2" tall and 1.5" at its widest. It's been mounted in definite modern times to a 2" square of white onyx stone that is 3/4" thick as a paperweight. The pottery is in nice condition. The onyx has some chips and nicks on some corners as in the photos. Please note that my shipping time is up to 5 business days as I have multiple ... morejobs and can only ship one day a week. If you happen to purchase after I return from the post office on shipping day it will be a full week wait until I am able to ship again.
