The finish is very good but there is one spot where someone stripped the finish off but it could be fixed with the stain shellac combo at any hardware store. He died in February, 1925 at the age of 81. The top portion of the fireplace is about 72 inches wide and 24 inches deep. The top right corner of the fireplace has a missing piece that measures 4 inches wide by 1 inch deep. The top panel with all of the hand carved figures is about 18 inches tall. 60 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. The columns are each 42 inches tall. 6 inches wide, and 8 inches deep.
