This stove has a large commercial size natural gas burner in the firebox, which likely could be rejetted for propane allowing you to use multiple fuel sources(Wood, coal, gas) It also has a built in cast iron water heater heat exchanger in there. It has a brite"US" nameplate which appears to be solid brass and silver accenting on the casting names and rivet heads. The top is 52W X 36D X 33H. It's real cast iron- it weighs in the neighborhood of 400 lbs. The Vulcan-Hart company. With history back to 1865, still makes high quality $$$ commercial stoves today and the quality and lineage of this unit shows. Built in 1951 according to the nameplate on the side. It came with a 1947 house I purchased last year. According to the 87 year old previous owner, the unit was bought new and placed in the corner of the living room by his aunt during a 1952 renovation and hasn't moved since. He only used it for extra heating in that large room and never recalled actually burning wood in the unit, and I found only evidence of natural gas use. It comes with the stock"tools" poker, scraper etc. The unused heavy-ass firebox grating for burning solids is in the last photo. It was sitting in the bottom of the ash drawer. It is a bit dusty in the photos and it does have a light patina of rust color on the inside but I know most of that is due to the natural gas combustion residue. And there is no ash inside and very little soot in the flue. I decided to leave it all original and not try to restore it as that might change its value and it does in fact need very little cleaning and perhaps some paint inside to make it look like new again. I found no cracks, scratches, or damage of any kind when I inspected it, and I do feel confident in its excellent condition, but I am selling it as-is, no warranties. It will come with the carbura

ASOLUTELY STUNNING AND EXCEPTIONALLY NICE CONDITION! We are pleased to offer this antique to vintage. Solid, carved wood fireplace screen frame. The frame is masterfully carved. The designs are not glued pieces, they are carved into the frame. The frame has 7sections. The top, two side frame pieces, and the bottom frame piece. There are also two side attachements with a bottom cross piece. Additionally, there are 4 arched feet. The frame featues exceptionally ornate and intricately carved wood. The top of the frame has very detailed leave and acorn carved design. This"headpiece" has an ornate arched lower section which is incised in a diamond design. Inside the diamonds are notches which make up 4 petaled flowers. A faux twist rope pattern is carved on the border. This topper is one piece of wood and attaches to the side frames ... moreat the upper corners(see photo12) The side frames are also incised/carved with overlapping leaves as well as the diamond cross hatched pattern. They are connected to side columns with dowls(there are no nail or screw holes present) The side columns feature turned wood with a gorgeous. Flower accent. The side columns continue to the ornate feet of the screen. The feet extend the same in the front and the back. They feature carved wood leaves with a bottom, carved flower. The feet are connected with a cross frame piece that is carved in an egg and dart design. The frame is exquisite. It is all carved with only 4 overlay pieces. These pieces are located at each corner. They are carved shells and are a much lighter colored wood. I am not exactly certain as to the type of wood. It is finished in a medium to darker brown stain. The four shell overlays are a golden colored wood. The frame is in extremely nice condition with very few dings or scratches. It has been beautifully preserved. This very large and very ornate frame at one time housed a lovely tapestry but it is gone. It would make a fantastic standing room divider/dressing screen or an amazing mirror frame. This stove would be the ideal addition to a period deco space, as you can see it's in use at the moment in our place, but the room it's in is 24 x 23 feet and it isn't powerful enough to heat the whole room, I would say this would be ideal for a room about 14 x 14 max, it's 4-5KW, I think we need 12KW! Gorgeous Vintage Intricate Copper & Wood Coal Box LOOK BARGAIN!!
Here we have my lovely old antique coal box made from copper and wood. The box is in good strong condition and good for many more years usage although it has some considerable age so it has the usual age related mark/scratches and small dents etc so it certainly doers not look brand new although personally I find this really adds character and gives a real sense of age and history. It has a gorgeous and intricate design and is unlike other boxes I have seen previously. This really would make a fantastic addition to the right fireplace and is an absolute must for the discerning customer!

Very old fireplace bellows. Stored inside a basement for many. Many years and has that basement scent especially when you blow it and air comes out. Rust on most of metal on this piece and rust/tarnish on nozzle. Paint on leather/wood does appear to come off when I lightly rub fingernail but it will not be removed. No major damage to leather. Spot with white paint and sticky. There are surface marks on wood. Leather and metal including scuffs/scratches. Sticky on one spot looks like from tag or something. Original sticker on back says made in japan. Please see pics to help with condition.

I am listing it as local pickup only because I have no idea how to ship something this large. This is a wood and metal freestanding faux fireplace/mantle with metal liner. Manufactured by Wood-Craft Inc. Baltimore MD. Sticker indicates company was founded in 1933. I have no idea how old this unit is. I tried to research the company and/or the unit and can't find information anywhere on ebay or on Google. I would estimate it at over 50 years old based on the fact that there is no plastic anywhere on the unit. I bought it at an antique store to have a place to hang Christmas stockings: I put an little electric fireplace and used it for five years, but the ... morefireplace stopped working so I pitched that, and now I'm moving and hope to have a real fireplace. Measures 52" wide. 44" tall, and only 10" deep. Someone- not me- made small cut outs(pictured) to accommodate up to a six inch molding and allow it to be placed flat against the wall. Very stable, but if you have children or dogs that might bump it I would suggest securing it to the wall. The textured faux brick is made of metal. Not plastic, and the interior metal is certainly not perfect, but could easily be re-painted. The back of the metal has some light surface rusting. There are a few scuff marks here and there, and the solid wood top has some slight hairline cracks. I tried to show all of the imperfections in the pictures. If there's anything else you'd like to see, ask, and I'll take as many close up pictures as you'd like. You will need a pickup truck or a van to transport. It's not particularly heavy but is bulky. Antique Cast Iron Fleur de Lis Coal Wood Basket Grate Vintage Arts Crafts
Up for auction: Heavy cast iron coal/wood burning grate. Not sure of the age. But it's quite old. Purchased at a local antiques auction in Bunn, North Carolina. Please note in the pictures that I've provided, that there is a break/crack in the rear of the grate. It has not separated and we've used it to burn smaller logs in our wood burning fireplace. I carried the grate outdoors to photograph and it didn't separate then either. However, I've tried to show the crack in the iron. I was told this could be welded together. I do have someone local who can do it, but would rather leave that up to the new owner(s) Fire grate measurements are: 22" widest across front. 19 1/2" across back, 12" front to back, 16 1/2" tall at back from floor, 5 1/2" deep at front inside basket. The'basket' in the ... morebottom of the grate swivels for easy clean out/dumping of debris but is sturdy to support whatever you are burning.
