It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! Made in Germany Kaiser Wilhelm I was ruling Germany and the first telephone networks were being launched when master optician Gotthilf Lufft dared to take the first decisive entrepreneurial step in 1881 in Stuttgart: The 33 year old founded the company"Mech. Werkstatt G. Lufft" The company was based on production of barometers with a metal membrane cell as measuring element. The vacuum container reacted to changes in the ambient pressure by expanding to greater or less extent. VINTAGE/ANTIQUES GOLDEN RESIN BUTTON? A BIG AND BOLD ART DECO BUTTON?
This button appears to be filled with golden flakes. I don't really think they're gold but they look like they are. I also think it's resign, so that would put it around the 30's or 40's. I couldn't find one like it anywhere so I can only guess. It's really a beautiful button and looks like jewelry to me. It measures approximately 1 1/2 inches. Please not: All the descriptions I give are what I'm reading about these buttons in books by Elizabeth Hughes"The Big Book of Buttons" or from eBay. Many I can't find any information on.
