This is an original antique Arts& Crafts(or maybe even Art Deco) fireplace tool set made of brass plated iron. It's in beautiful condition. It's clean and gleaming, and it has a gorgeous patina to the brass. The set is complete, and consists of five pieces: the stand, a broom, a shovel, a poker, and tongs. It was manufactured in the early 1900's by the well known Cahill Co. and the quality is superb. It's rare to find a set from this era with the brass in such splendid condition, and the broom still has plenty of bristles left(and it's clean) You can really see the details in the close-ups, esp. the design elements in the handles. I've seen these sets listed for over $300.00, but hey, I'd like to sell it this week. So I've priced mine lower than the others you'll see. Set has good Brass finish over iron and steel. Marked on the bottom 867. 1 owner. Excellent condition. 26" High. 11" wide base. My items are sent to you just as they are. ANTIQUE ART DECO ARTS & CRAFTS BRONZE COPPER / BRASS ENAMEL FIREPLACE SCREEN OLD
Here we have an original. Early 1900's era ~ ART DECO ARTS& CRAFTS PERIOD FIREPLACE SCREEN ~. This fireplace screen has a wonderful form and even has an Arts& Crafts look to it as well. We believe that it is made out of mixed metals like bronze& brass& copper. A magnet does not stick anywhere, so it is a fine quality metal for sure. It measures 26 1/2 inches tall by 19 1/2 inches wide. We left the patina in 100% untouched or cleaned condition just as it was when discovered in the estate. The legs are wonderfully formed with a gentle curve, and have a diamond enamel decoration on each one. This would be a nice addition to any early 1900's era Art Deco or Arts& Crafts style home.
