This is a mid 19 th century large and sturdy serving dish holder with a removable hinged lid. It has two side handles decorated with roses. And four ornate paw feet. Each side has a pierced central band with chased floral and foliate panels above and below and rolled edges. The domed and panelled lid has a single ornate handle. Please see photos. The serving dish holder measures 17” X 9” X 7” tall to the top of the lid’s handle. The lid does not fit perfectly squarely. There are a number of dents and ripples to the lid. Any dark or bright spots not mentioned previously are reflections in photography. We think these flaws are a result of use and could well be repaired. There are no marks and no liner. Overall. Stylish Antique Silver Footed Pierced Hammered Serving Tray NR!
This is a unusually nice antique or vintage footed hammered silver plate serving tray. It has a beautiful pierced design around the rim. Please see pics for best description. It must be thickly plated because it tests as sterling. It is made by the Meridian Co. International Silver Co. it also says 736 on the bottom. It measures aprx. 10" in diameter. I have not cleaned it or polished it. I will leave that to buyers preference. It is in nice used condition. There are some light scratches from use. It is an intricate pierced design with two tones- bottom is a darker coppery color and top half is more a brass color. There is a large dent near one handle and a dent on the bottom around one of the feet. But it is quite an interesting piece with its a dragon attached to each side(where the two metals meet) and an elephant or other creature holding the braided handle in its mouth on each side. The top removes and has a finial that looks like a multi-armed Hindu god. Stands about 10" tall. I am ... morelisting several brass items from same client. The dish is crafted of sterling silver and measures 5 1/4 inches across by 8 1/8 inches long and stands approximately 1 3/4 inches tall. It weighs in at 124 grams. It is monogrammed"BMP" There are a dozen or so very small"pinpoint" type dents in the bottom of the dish but only one that I can find on the sides. I have tried to show these in the photos. The Trays are both very fine quality examples with great pierced raised galleries and nicely designed feet. Both Salver Trays are also finely engraved with lovely Floral designs. The First Salver measures approx 5-1/4" across the top and sits 1" tall with the second measuring 4" across the top and sits 3/4" tall. The Salvers are also fully marked on the back. I have not seen Hallmarks like this before and they are well worth looking into being of such fine quality. Both Trays are in really excellent condition with no dents, cracks or repairs, the smaller tray shows a bit more scratching but being Solid Silver it could be buffed up to look as good as new. The Trays have bee tested and are guaranteed to be at least 800 Grade(80% Pure) Solid Silver throughout with a quality combined weight of 214 grams. Fresh from an estate sale is this graceful ROYAL BAYREUTH piece. This footed bowl is pierced and is decorated with a subtle floral pattern. This bowl/candy dish has a thin walled undulating form that is both quite graceful and scarce. The bowl's body is elegantly supported by four pierced feet. It measures approximately 10" x 8" x 4" high. I see no cracks or chips. The gold highlight trim is faded. But doesn't detract much from it's great form. This is an antique Richard Ginori large porcelain footed compote with floral decor circa late 1800's. The compote measures 9 7/8" wide and is 5 5/8" tall. White porcelain with pierced panels separated with hand-painted floral medallions. The base shows 4 feet decorated with embossed and gilt leaves. The flowers in the medallions are repeated around the stem and under the bowl. Lavishly gilt throughout the scalloped rim. On the pierced geometric design and on the base. Marked under the base in red as shown Mamifra a Doccia Presso Firenze Ginori. There are no chips or repairs. There is a fine spider inside the bowl as shown in photos 10 and 11. Very ... moreheavy, Victorian Period Silver Plate tea and coffee serving tray. The tray is gorgeous with a very nice Grape& Vine pattern and Pierced border. The Tray is also beautifully etched with great Period designs covering almost the entire field and best of all it has never been engraved with a monogram or dedication. This tray is fabulous, one of the Largest examples I have sold recently, certainly large enough for pretty much any tea and coffee service, with room for a plate of cookies or a cake as well! The tray measures approx 29" across the handles by 18" or the actual serving area measures approx 20" by 14" a nice practical size for serving drinks, hors d'oeuvres or even for setting on a large leather Ottoman as a coffee table, like you see in the decorating magazines. The tray is in good all original condition for the age, with some Copper Bloom and we did not have time to give it the really thorough polishing it needs. It was manufactured sometime between 1907 and 1919 by Tressemann& Vogt and bears the following underglaze white ware mark in green: T& V/LIMOGES. FRANCE, DEPOSE. It has a lovely pink floral pattern on the exterior with an interior of shaded pink and brushed gold on the rim, and the three feet are painted gold. It measures 6-1/2" in diameter and 2-5/8" high. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, paint loss or repairs. This bowl may have originally been manufactured with a matching underplate, but I did not find such plate when I discovered the bowl when cleaning out my parents' house. Up for your consideration is a Lovely vintage E& J L silver plate made in England cut and pierced. Footed and handled basket. It is about 1900- 1940. It is marked E& J L and made is England. It measures about 10 1/4" x 7 5/8" x 7 1/4" It could use a little polishing. There is surface scratching and a small dent by one of the feet from age. Use and possible serving utensils. It is in very good to excellent vintage condition. Description Information Most all items up for sale are vintage costume jewelry.
