Very unique brass and copper ash bucket made by a very talented and skilled artisian/smith. I've seen quite a few ash buckets. But none with the details of this bucket. Legs to imitate branches and leaf motive to make it even more beautiful. Inspect closely the one-piece ribbed band around the bucket that perfectly meets on the underside of the bucket. The band is secured in place by overlay of material and rivets were used to attach the handles. I don't know the history of this bucket, but I'm sure it's very, very interesting. To me, it looks like a piece that was commissioned along with fireplace tools by a well to do family. Another unusual fact: It weights 6 lbs. and is perfectly balanced. This is a pair of late 18th to early 19th C. Chippendale style andirons in brass with iron returns. Appropriate to their age. They are have full-seams, hand peened rivets, and a very old patina. They are 15.5"H, 8.25"W, and 16.75"D. There is a repair near the base of one upright, another repair at the base of the other, and some solder is visible. There is slight corrosion to the very top of one andiron, and there are a few small gaps in the seams of the andirons' sections. However, they are sturdy and appropriate for use. I have a very nice pair of brass cannonball 1919 andirons for your consideration. These are marked 1919 on the cast iron. They are both marked with numbers on each. The right one says 1340 the left one 3404. There is a makers mark in a circle. But I cannot make it out. They might be Virginia Metal Crafters. They have Queen Anne style legs. 17 1/2" H X 8" W 3" H x 12" long cast iron fire dogs. There are a few dings and scratches. To be expected in something of this age, but not that bad. There is a small separation on one seam where one of the andirons connects to the wrought iron, but it doesn't even seem noticeable, and is very insignificant, as it doesn't affect the usage or appearance. This is a charming piece. The style is Queen Anne Revival? most likely early 20th century. It is in very good condition, left front corner has a slight dent.And the top bar on the centre front is loose it appears to have been soldered at on time. We have never found it to be a problem. It polishes up wonderfully as it is of a good quality solid brass. And the construction is of a good quality as well. By loosening the bolts on the bottom(see photos)the entire piece can be undone. The measurements are as follows: out side length 42 inches. Inside length 37 3/4 inches, the depth out side is 12 inches, depth inside is 9 3/4inches, and the height is six inches.

Wonderful set of very old brass and cast iron dancing lady androns. Each stands 16" tall x 6" wide x 17" deep. Each of the andirons depicts a different dancing lady. Brass fronts and cast iron supports. Purchased at a Mt. farm estate sale. Unsure of the age and find no markings. Great origional condition with no problems other than normal use, some"greening" as shown in the pictures. The andirons will be disassembaled for shipping as shown in pic#9. To reassembale you just need to screw on the threaded leaf piece and attach the front to the legs. The last picture is of the nut and bolt to reattach. Very easy but you will propably need a adjustable wrench or pliers to tighten. These are quit heavy, I'm guessing 10+ lbs each, thus the high shipping costs. Antique Style BRASS Tile HEAVY Fireplace Trim Architectural Salvage Restoration
I am not positive as to the age of this tile. But I believe it dates to the turn of the Century(circa 1900 to 1910) 5 1/2" Square; I believe it is made of brass. a magnet does NOT stick to it anywhere) The back also appears to be made of brass. The middle(viewed from the side) appears to be a metal color, but I could not get a magnet to stick to it. There are 2 lips, or edges, on opposite sides, so as to perhaps slide this into a track. In good condition; there are a few white marks that may be paint drips(another one that I have had wax dripped into it) I believe the function was trim around a fireplace, a mantel or perhaps in a kitchen. This is HEAVY. Was NOT used as a ceiling tile, I am fairly sure. Sold as is, no returns. interior design architecture remodeling

Federal Style Colonial Revival Brass Fireplace Andirons
Here's a wonderful pair of vintage brass Federal Colonial Revival style andirons! They have an urn finial on top. A turn styled center and cabriole legs. They have cast iron firedogs that extend a little over 11" to hold the logs and there's a small urn finial that matches the top one. Each andiron is marked on the bottom"3 KNICK" 106. The right andiron is marked R& the left andiron is marked L. They have a worn antique-patina. I don't feel any nicks nor dents. I see small scratches and they are smooth to the touch. Each andiron measures 16 1/2" long(including the fire dog log setter) and stands 19 3/4" tall.

Fabulous antique Victorian or Craftsman style jamb hook. The detail on this is truly a work of art! I bought a pair of these from an estate sale in a lovely old Victorian home. They were on each side of a fireplace. Unfortunately. I broke one of the arms off the other one while trying to straighten it, so I was very careful with this one when polishing it. It could possibly be repaired, so I will include the broken one to the winner if they want it. But I do want to warn you that with the age and constant exposure to heat over the many years it has made the brass a bit fragile.
