It can also work beautifully as a wall mounted bed headboard. Especially trimmed out with curtains, etc. There are many other possible uses as a shelf, crown, pediment or window box valence. This piece is in excellent antique condition with no damage of any significance. We have several other cabinet tops similar to this in different sizes and styles. These are a super pair of mid 19th century fireplace mantles with loads of detail. Each mantle is 50 and 1/2 inches wide by 44 inches tall and project out 9 inches from the wall.
