I'm selling a matching PAIR of late 1800's to very early 1900's Victorian bookcases. They are shown pushed together. But can also be split up and used flanking a fireplace, like built-ins! Solid wood. With mahogany and burl walnut veneers. English ... moreadjustable shelf system, each unit with 2 shelves. Condition: both have some missing veneer on the outside. The left more than the right(see pictures) Scratching on the top. I have pictures. But couldn't add anymore. Ask and I'll send them to you. A previous owner painted the back of each one light pink.only one layer. So should be easy to strip(or paint a darker color instead) Both have locks. But no key. Right cabinet missing the glass pane. The left one still has the original wavy glass! Please see close-ups of the cool detail carvings. Like the lion's head, Art Nouveau style flower and fleur-de-lis like carved crest. Dimensions are: 23 1/2" wide(each cabinet) by 48" tall. Case is 11 3/4"deep. With trim it's 14 1/2" deep. Inside height is 46" Yes.
