Description This is a great antique fireplace mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian home. It is made of oak and is currently painted white. The shelf is trimmed in egg and dart molding. It is supported by 2 tall scrolled pilasters. The pilasters have carvings on the sides and carved lion paw feet. It measures 59.25 inches wide by 54.75 inches tall and is 11 inches deep. The firebox opening is 41.5 inches wide by 38.5 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. One leg came off. We have reattached it and braced it from the back. The right side mounting board is missing. Antique Pierced Brass Fireplace Fender Guard Gate Paw Feet 42" X 13"
Antique Fireplace fender/guard. We believe, based on using a magnet, it to be brass and another metal, maybe copper. The pierced design is floral, feet are paws. It measures approx. 42" long x 13" deep front to back x 6 3/4" tall. It has normal wear from age and use, some spots and scratches. On one back edge there is a tiny spot of surface rust, on back a few little places of surface corrosion. I say"Surface" because in my opinion, if new owner chooses to polish the piece they will resolve. I like the original patina and wear, gives it character. Antq Pierced Brass Fireplace Fender Surround Guard-Paw Feet-47"x8"-Curves to 12"
For sale is a large and ornate brass and steel fireplace surround. This one has 3 brass feet. Surround measures a total of 8" tall. The depth measurements are: 8" across the top from the front to the back at the edges and the fender bows out to 12" in the center. The width measurements are: 47 1/2" across the outside at the top: 47" across the steel apron(the black section) at the bottom and 49" across the bottom of the brass section. Good antique condition. With one of the inside screws missing that holds the apron to the brass surround. Just under 12 lbs.

Vintage Brass Fireplace Fender Paw Feet 36" x 13"
Wonderful old piece in very good condition. Leave as is or burnish to a shiny gleam! This fender dates back at least three generations in a family with some lovely antique pieces. Age and maker unknown. Structurally sound. With surface rust on the flat pan section and underneath. One paw screw is a bit loose, but the piece is well attached. I believe the vertical piece is solid brass. As a magnet does not stick to it. The flat pan section is some kind of metal- the magnet does stick.
